Having your hair done is a nerve wracking event. You’re never entirely sure the hair dressor can produce the desired result you seek. I had tried doing my hair on my own, after moving here from LA. It was a disaster so I went to Dream Salon, Danielle specifically, to see if she could rectify the damage I’d done and make it blonde again. I could NOT be happier! My hair is a work of art now. Danielle is beyond gifted at high lights, low lights, color and repair. I absolutely LOVE my hair! You will not regret going here.

It was my first time after a long time getting my hair professionally done. I wanted an ombré/​balayage done on my hair and I was looking for a salon who would be able to do a great job on it for not a ridiculous amount. Long story short, my mom and I found this salon that was only 5 minutes away from my house and the second I walked in, the staff were so welcoming! I came in on a Wednesday and made an appointment for Friday, so booking was fairly easy. I was booked with Danielle and she did an amazing job with my hair! She knew exactly what she was doing and she was such a sweetheart. My hair turned out way better than I expected it to be, all thanks to her! Another great thing about this salon is that they make it feel like it’s all about you — they offer water, tea, coke, diet coke, coffee, etc., as well as snacks! Would definitely recommend this place, without a doubt!

Anh is very good. She often knows what will look best when a client can’t make up their mind. She always tries to squeeze me in when possible. All the ladies are very friendly and do a great job. I really love having my hair done there.

Great mom&pops kind of salon. Amber does great cuts/​colors. Lee cuts my husbands hair and they also are so helpful when cutting kids hair. Decent prices for the area too considering how good the stylists are! Totally recommend.

Anne Cut my hair yesterday and she did a wonderful job. She knew what would look good with my face structure and what would work with my hair!

I went in to get a purple/​magenta ombré and Danielle did an amazing job understanding exactly what I wanted and it turned out amazing. Poor Danielle had to stay almost an hour after closing time just to finish up my hair. I felt kinda bad, but she was still so nice and sweet to me even though I was there for almost 4 hours.
I gave them four stars instead of five because of the price. When I first called for an appointment, I also got a quote of around $ 110, but when I got there, Danielle told me the final total would be $ 200. The price jump bothered me, but I understood since the first quote was given by someone else and at that point I just wanted my hair to be done ASAP.
Besides that, I was super happy with the outcome and my experience at Dream Salon. I will most likely go back again for a redye!

Came in with my sister just to have her ridiculously long hair trimmed of dead ends.
Regular cuts (nothing too fancy) are $ 25 and for what we asked for, it came out pretty decent. Ended up cutting off about 5 inches of hair in long layers and it looks pretty nice! Employees were incredibly friendly the entire time; asking you questions, complimenting you, etc.
Decent pricing, super friendly people, I’d definitely come back if I lived in the area!

Everyone at Dream Salon is incredibly nice. Ann always remembers us and is always incredibly kind and funny. Le cuts my and my three sons hair. He’s fantastic and always wants to make sure you are happy walking out. I highly recommend Dream Salon.

I waited more than a month before posting this. Yet here I am, one month later, and still unhappy and upset with my experience at Dream Salon.
There were so many things that went wrong and handled poorly that I’m not sure where to start. I am not stating any names to protect their privacy… Plus some of the people were really sweet… But on the other hand, the «resolution» was not what I’d hope for and some of the «attempts of resolution» by other staff members were downright not professional.
PRE-​APPOINTMENT
Scheduled for BLACK to LAVENDER to WHITE Dip Dye & Cut (person I spoke to was different from the person who will work on my hair)
FIRST APPOINTMENT, Saturday April 4
— After First Dye: Hair was Blonde (lightest it could get from brown, which is alright…) BUT she dyed my hair with BLUE dye instead but it looked GREEN, but I asked for LAVENDER. Looks like there was a miscommunication in the colors.
— Still, even if she meant to dye my hair blue, why is it Green? She blamed the dye for being «faulty» and turning green. (When Really after consulting with other professionals, I suspect the dye used had green undertones, and/​or that because the base wasn’t white/​silver, it turned green IE Is it really the dye, or the dye job? Hmm.)
— A coworker blamed me for the miscommunication. (Such great customer service from this one)
Okay, hair is Green. Now what? Remove the green? Put Lavender, Like I came in for?
— SEVEN-​EIGHT HOURS LATER: I come out with Blonde, Green/​Blue, and Purple Hair. (She could not get the blue/​green out)
— The color doesn’t even fade like in the picture I provided.
— I am crying because now I look like a unicorn.
— Coworker No. 2 is still arguing with me on who’s fault it is.
— I come home and discover my cardigan also has bleach on it. We are now miscolored together.
SECOND APPOINTMENT (to fix mishap), Monday, April 6
— Original hairstylist and hairstylist #2 try to fix my hair
— They dyed the top BLACK when we had agreed (twice, in the first appointment, and in this second one, that she will NOT ADD black dye to my hair, and that she will only remove the blue/​green for this second appointment)
— Result? There is black dye on my hair. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO GET BLACK DYE OFF! Ahh!
— Hair now becomes blue/​gray (from toning)…Still not what I asked.
— I am now livid, because I trusted this place both times, and it only hurt me in the end.
— Employees REFUSE to give me manager’s number (who is out of town)
*A few days later (April 9?), am finally able to reach Manager She has been out of town since April ⁴⁄₅. At first she seems helpful. But…
THIRD «APPOINTMENT» (to discuss with manager)
— Due to another «miscommunication» the manager does not show. I show up to a salon that closed early. I thought your hours says open til 7pm Fridays?
*Call manager again, this time she is UNWILLING to help. She claims that they made my hair how I wanted it. I think to myself, Impossible. I have not seen her since she left before the end of my appointment Saturday. I ask her, «What color is my hair?» She answers the wrong color. Got ya.
FOURTH «APPOINTMENT» (to discuss with manager)
— Manager finally sees the disaster that is my hair and how unhappy I am. She gives me a refund but not the full amount I paid. NEVER PAY UPFRONT if they promise to «fix» a hair next time. I naively paid after my 1^st appointment + tip trusting it will be fixed (my hair stylist was a sweetie at heart, even though the result wasn’t the best).
Two months later :(My hair is now like the mermaid in Harry Potter from the damage and off colors (Google is your friend)
TLDR (Can be found in pics); asked for Black to lavender to white dip dye. Got Green/​blue/​purp/​blonde instead. Asked for them to fix it, they turned it gray/​blue. Thought I would come and find a new salon to go to, but unfortunately for both parties it did not work out that way.
Since then, I’ve also gone to two outside professionals for consultation after what happened to my hair, and they said the damage to my hair was so much that if they did anything my hair would potentially fall off or be «like straw.» I had waited 8 months for this!

Danielle C is the best! I’ve been going to her for the last 7 years and won’t change who I go to even though I live in Sacramento. Enough said…

Today was my first time at dream salon. I called this morning whether they can squeeze me in and michelle took my appt. Michelle’s awesome! I love my short haircut. Reasonable price. Thanks, michelle. I definitely will get my hair cut there again.

I have been going to Dream Salon for a few months now and I have to say, Le gives a great haircut. He really knows how to cut men’s hair. I have gotten a few different hairstyles in the times I went here and Le nailed each one. Also it’s great to get your hair shampooed and conditioned with every visit. I live in Santa Clara but I still drive 35 minutes to come here because it is such a great experience.

I am a pretty simple girl who A) doesn’t invest much time styling my hair each morning and B) wouldn’t know how to if I wanted. I have long, straight hair with very little volume and had quite a lot of split ends and dryness from years of neglect and getting my cuts done at Great Clips type establishments.
I was tired of leaving a hair cut feeling unsatisfied so I was on the search for somewhere new. New to this area, I didn’t have anyone to go to for recommendations and found Dream on Unilocal.I ended up there because they were open on a Monday and they were the first Salon to answer the phone and I am SO GLAD THEY DID!
I went in that same night and got a cut from Ann. She gave me tons of tips on caring for my damaged and thin hair and asked lots of questions and listened to all my hair frustrations in order to give me good advice. In the end not only did she give me a FANTASTIC, refreshing cut, but she was absolutely pleasant and fun to talk to the whole time I was there.
I also mentioned that my Husband had been getting less than great cuts at Great Clips as well and Ann asked questions about his hair type and recommended one of the other hair dressers that she said would take great care of him. I brought him in a few days later and let me tell you, my Hubby is looking mighty handsome after Amber’s work on him!
SO HAPPY WE WENT TO DREAM! Both Ann and Amber took great care of us. We will absolutely return.

I have been to dream salon in the past and love all the stylists there. They are professional and do a great job. Today I visited them with three other friends and we all got highlights. Ann, Emily, Danielle and lee did a great job in making sure we walk out happy.

I’m so bummed-​I really wanted to like Dream Salon but I won’t return. I had a great 1^st experience a few months ago for a cut and partial highlights so I was looking forward to a great repeat visit. I hope that I just came in during an off day. While I was waiting to check in, another customer was having a consultation which the stylists seemed to disagree upon with the owner. After they exchanged several eye rolls and murmured snot nosed remarks about each other, I was told that they were running behind schedule and my appt would start 15 min late. Not a big deal-I’m a small business owner so I’m totally understanding that things can get behind schedule.
When I finally sat in the chair, 4 other customers rolled in saying that they had booked an appt with my same stylist within the same hour. Call me crazy but that just seems like poor time management. I understand that you can’t turn business away but how can you possibly maintain the quality of your work while providing decent customer service??? It was a hot mess. One customer claimed she had an appt at 3 and the owner proceeded to tell her it was at 3:30. Regardless of who wrote it down wrong, instead of apologizing for the mix up and moving on, they played 5 min of he said she said and the owner proceeded to bash this customer in front of the salon.
I’ve been to several high end salons so when a friend recommended Dream, I was excited to learn of their great quality at a low cost. When I have been to other places in the past, a color and cut took no more than 60 – 75 minutes. Last time I was in, my appt took 60 min so that’s what I was expecting since I was doing the same exact color and cut. 2 hours later, I rolled out the door… Even though my appt was before anyone else that rolled in after me, I was the last one there. The worst part was that I sat at the sink for 45 min!
As I mentioned before, I really hope this isn’t how it always is and I just came on a bad day. Don’t get me wrong-​I liked how my hair turned out but for me, professionalism and customer service trumps cost. I’m more than happy to pay extra to be treated with professionalism and good customer service. If you’re looking for a place that’s friendly on your wallet but not to your face then Dream is for you.

Absolutely in love with my balayage hair done by Anh! I couldn’t be any happier! Anh has always done an amazing job with her services when it comes to hair coloring, cuts and even waxing. She’s very patient with her clients and will do anything to satisfy your needs. I really recommend her. I promise you won’t be disappointed ! :)

I found Dream because a coworker recommend it. Dream is close to my work, has reasonable rates, parking, and is clean.
I’ve only seen Ann, the owner, but the whole place was busy when I came by Saturday. They are a full service salon with hair cuts, color, perms, etc.
There was a mix of male and female clients and they had more men (5) than women (3) getting service while I was there. I was happy with my last cut and came back for another.

Ann is great! She is lively, has a sense of humor, and keeps the conversation going. She charges $ 30 for haircuts which is practically unheard of for a non-​Super Cuts establishment. All her other services are also reasonably priced.
She was running 5 – 10 minutes late when I got there and she apologized and claims that it’s because she talks too much. I like the kind of stylist who really gets to know you to figure out how your haircuts fit with your personality and lifestyle.
The entire process, wash + cut + blow dry, took about 40 – 45 minutes total. So glad I found this place. If you refer two people to her, your next haircut is free.
