Love my hairstylist Colleen McGonagle. I will not go anywhere else, she is professional, patient and ultimately knows how to style my hair like no other! I receive tons of compliments from my coworkers and friends and they can’t believe I get my hair done at Cost Cutters;) I plan to follow Colleen wherever she goes since she knows how to texture my hair so it’s super low maintenance. Thank you Colleen, happy I discovered you!

Chikako is the best. We will follow her wherever she goes. I heard there is a new owner. It will be really smart to keep her as they will lose half of their clients if she leaves. Great job! Highly recommended!

I have straight hair that is very easy to cut. I do not get layers, bangs, highlights, shampoo or conditioning. All I want is a simple trim of usually about 4 – 5 inches every couple of months. I also do not want to spend $ 30 plus dollars on a straight trim. I used to go to all those fancy salons where they did the shampoo and conditioning but I just don’t need it nor do I even want it. This place is perfect for people who just want to get in and get out and don’t need all those extra treatments. If your looking for a place that does a special style, I’m not so sure about that but hey, you never know.
16.95 $ is exactly how much I think I should be spending on my haircuts, if it were up to me i’d do it myself but I’d rather not take the chance!

I really love the person who cuts my hair Chikako she is the kindest sweetest little person in the world and I love to sit there listening to her talk and talking with her and she always does a great job on cutting my hair. I give her 5 stars for sure every hair cut.

I had a cut and color today with Colleen and she did such a great job! She took her time to figure out exactly what I wanted and the color turned out amazing! Also styled my hair and I walked out a very happy customer :) highly recommend Colleen at Cost Cutters!

I have been coming to this CostCutter Salon since July 2006, mostly because of the hairstylist Chikako. I’ve stuck with Chikako ever since she moved from CrowCanyon Road CostCutters. I have never been disappointed. She is very consistent, professional and kind. She goes above and beyond to make sure that the haircut is cut to my utmost satisfaction. I brought my daughter for a hair cut in the afternoon. First time here, just dropped in, and we didn’t have to wait for a long time. There’s a tub of small toys at the waiting area to entertain the kids. About 10 minutes they called us in. The lady who cut my daughter’s hair seemed to know what she was doing, very nice and friendly, and the price was reasonable. Will come back.

They’re hit and miss dependent on the stylist. First cut I had here was not so great, but I got Chikako the second time and she does an awesome men’s cut. I’ve stuck with her since and have never been disappointed. It’s kind of odd because she’s a nice grandmotherly lady, but she knows what she’s doing and can cut pretty hip styles.

Extremely hurried unprofessional hair cut is what you get for $ 16.95, the entire hair cut took less than 15 minutes. There was no attention to details and not through. The lady cutting my hair was also the cashier and constantly talking to new customers (Ra… with 3 appointments) coming in and not focusing on her job.
The hair cut is uneven and poor job.

Worst hair cut ever. I asked for lots of layers, but I got lots of zig-​zags, uneven peaces, and it was cut way to short… my hair looks awful and I would not recommend this place. The lady who cut my hair was very nice though (didn’t get her name), but her skills — very amateur. I will never go to this place again.

I always come here for haircut since 2002 and have tried several hair cutters there (including some of the hair cutters mentioned in other reviews).
About 6 mos ago, i tried Mohammad (he is called Mo there) and is really pleased with the result. People start complimenting my hair and i always like the way it looks after he is done cutting my hair.
He is friendly and knows what looks good for you. highly recommended. Ask for him and you won’t regret…

My boyfriend stopped in on the spur of the moment, while I was shopping next door. Wow! He came out looking fabulous. Best haircut he has had in a very long time.
The gal who cut his hair was Chikako (Chicago).
I highly recommend this gal.
Didn’t go in myself, so unable to comment on cleanliness, etc.

I have been using these guys for a decade and got a refreshing summer cut today — I tell the grand kids that I had my ears lowered. They are fast and efficient as the prices are so low. I don’t think I get special treatment, but I always give them large tips and I get a lot more for my money there that other places. But I’m a guy and not particular.
However, my darling wife also get things done there and when we both come in, she wants to boss them arround as to what they are doing to me. They take this very well, better than me, and we always go away happy. What I mean to say is they go with the flow and will try to please everyone — a bit of «merchant» in them as they seem to work in the client’s best interest — even at cheap prices !!!
