These guys are terrific and a super value. Not for every type of hair but for me, a welcome relief from much more expensive hair cuts that we’re noticeably better. And if you don’t get the vibe in there, it’s just the wrong place for you. Cash only but at $ 13 plus a tip, it’s worth it.

The younger guy on the right has always provided a good cut for the price, while the older guy always makes a comment about how long my hair is (doesn’t touch the collar). Today the older guy cut my hair after arguing with me about how much to take off… lousy cut, left it wet and didn’t take off what I wanted… the guy is just abrasive and I won’t go back.

Glad I found this place. The older man who cut my sons hair was able to fix a diy haircut. It looks good and it was cheap. No wait today on a Saturday afternoon. I will definitely come back!

Been going here for a year or so now. I really enjoy being around both of the barbers. They always have interesting things to talk about. I’m a guy with simple needs for haircuts. I went to a few other places before but they all charged $ 20 for a simple buzz. *Cough* super cuts *cough cough*. Haven’t had a bad experience here. Always got exactly what I wanted.

I have been going here for 5 years getting my hair cut, and my son’s hair cut. Over the years Don the older guy always did a good job and his assistant did an OK job.
About 6 months ago Don got a new assistant. I went there to get my son’s hair cut and Don was working on someone else, so he rudely motioned my son to his new assistant. It was a bit strange because Don knows us by name. His assistant give my son no less than a butcher job of his hair it was the worst hair cut my son has ever had and it took 2 months to grow out and start to look normal again. After 5 years it only takes one major screw up to loose us as customers.
It’s a bummer that I don’t fell good about going here anymore. If you go never have Don’s assistant cut your hair.

Stopped in today for my bi-​monthly head shave with the #1.5. The Rolling Stones were playing on the radio and only had to wait a few minutes for a chair to open up.
WARNING, WARNING: these guys are strange about tips, if you don’t give one, they shake their head at you, or just stand and stare. one day for kicks I am going to give a $ 20 tip on a $ 12 haircut and see what they do…
if you have little to no hair and want to look clean this is the place to go.

If this is the same tiny barber shop across from San Rafael High School, and its run by an older asian and a younger asian male, then this is the one I’m talking about. If the older guy cuts your hair, thats good. If the younger guy directs you to HIS chair, then walk out the door. He has no idea what he’s doing, and doesn’t
understand or speak english. It’s pretty much just hand gestures, and him
shaking his head up and down as though he understands. I just spent twelve dollars for a lousy haircut. I’d have gotten more satisfaction burning the $$$$
instead. Worst haircut I ever got. Ever. It looks like he didn’t even touch my
hair. I’m not going there again. That’s the second time in a row this kid has bf’d
on a lousy haircut.

Great price, quick service. Can’t be beat in terms of a good, quality haircut here in Marin. Convenient location and plenty of reading material in the unlikely event you have to wait. Dong is the man!
11÷28÷12 Updated to add: last night, boyfriend showed up just after closing, and the owner came back in and opened just to give him the haircut he wanted. Now, THAT is great customer service!

They didn’t use that little paper collar so there was hair on my shirt collar after the trim. The guy helping me seemed either hungry or dehydrated. The cut turned out ok (one pretty large missed spot notwithstanding) and it was cheap.

For the price and service, this place is 5 stars. I’ve been going regularly for a year now. Nothing fancy here. If you care about anything aside from getting a haircut, then you might not like it. But if all you want is a cut at a GREAT PRICE, try it.

I’m on a budget & I had a hard time finding reviews for haircutting/​styling other than at the high end of the scale. There were good reviews for this guy from three years ago, but nothing much recent. I hadn’t had a haircut since a winter wedding many months ago, and I clearly needed a trim before appearing on television (or, frankly, in public whatsoever — things were getting a little Early Modern Era for my taste).
I should mention that my hair & I are in an ongoing pitched battle, the only casualty of which thus far has been my hairline; thus, I am naturally a bit pessimistic about all things tonsorial. In this case, however, I was pleasantly surprised to find that sometimes you get more than you expect, even when paying less than you’re used to.
In short: eleven dollars (which is, what, SuperCuts prices circa 1995?) buys you a gent’s cut & dry with little wait & a feeling in the meantime that you’re somewhere in the Midwest in the 60’s, relaxing on the indoor park benches that serve as the waiting area of this tiny, tiny barber-​shop tiled in black & white.
I’m going back next month.

This is a pretty straightforward hair cut. The guy who runs it gives a great haircut at a good price. I would reccomend to anyone looking to get their haricut. Not a lot of frills here, but fast, very friendly personal service. They have some good magazines if there is a wait, although I usually dont get a chance to read more that a few sentences with the good service.
