St Luke Presbyterian Church

We had our little guy Baptized at St. Luke, and we just adored Reverend Nicole, her progressive message, the new/​clean/​cute kids space, and the spectacular views. It was a great place for a baptism, and, though we haven’t made a habit of attending church, we’ll likely return thanks to Nicole’s fresh perspective. She is a breath of fresh air, a light, and much to our surprise, someone we’d probably enjoy having a few cocktails with.
Their Easter service and Sunday school/​childcare is super cute. The kids Easter egg hunt is lots of fun, and the family photo opps are great :). We live in San Anselmo, and it’s well worth the short drive to San Rafael to hear Nicole speak.

Absolutely gorgeous venue, inside and out, with a wonderful view of the bay, too.
There are plenty of trees scattered around the premises so guests will not be left to melt in the sun.
I love the stained glass windows of the church and I think it’s just the right size. I sort of think weddings are a time for people to sit close and enjoy one another’s company, so it’s a little sad when I see attendees scatter throughout a large space. At St. Luke’s, the pews were filled and it felt really good to be able to celebrate such nearness.
The separate reception space is pretty large, and it leads out onto a small deck at one end, to make for a great place to take a group photo and/​or selfie. ;)
The parking lot seems a bit small, so do show up early so you get a spot!

I visited this venue with my mom, sister, and my fiancé.
Caroline was awesome! When I called her she was polite and friendly. She promptly responded to my emails and phone calls, got information about what I was looking for in a venue, and got information about me/​fiancé.

Caroline was on time for our meeting and welcomed us to the office. She sat down with a pen and paper and wrote down what my fiancé I were looking for. She explained what St. Luke’s offered and why we should book our venue there. She set aside a good 20 – 30 minutes of her time for us and she was very attentive.
Why we nixed St. Luke’s from our wedding vendor list:
We chose Falkirk Cultural Center instead.

My wife and I recently had our wedding ceremony at St. Luke in San Rafael. Gwen, the church’s wedding coordinator, was amazing. She helped us throughout the whole process. She made it a wonderful day.
If you are looking for a place to have your wedding, I highly recommend St. Luke. We couldn’t have been happier witht the way things went. It is a very beautiful, and affordable place.

I got married at St. Luke’s two years ago. I chose this venue out of many many that I looked at for its prime location, beautiful views, reasonable prices, and religious setting. There are spaces for a ceremony and reception either inside the quaint church or out on the lawn overlooking the beautiful bay. There is also a hall with lovely high beam ceilings. I chose to have the ceremony inside the church, cocktail hour on the lawn and dinner/​dancing in the hall. As far as the décor goes — there is virtually none necessary if you plan on having your event outside, however, if you are going inside you must plan to decorate. The space is fairly open and could accomdate many tastes.
Everything went great the day of the wedding! Gwen, the coordinator is helpful, responsive and well-​organized. She worked with me to make my special catering request happen — a wood burning pizza oven.
