terrible, staff walks away from you while there’s a big line staging itself up. who hires these people ???

Came in at 8 they just finished serving a guy at the counter and the little dude making coffees says there closed… yet I saw a white woman get a coffe after me… F this place! Don’t serve brown folk! I don’t ever play the race card but this was blatant!!!

The staff at Pete’s at 3^rd Street San Rafael is excellent. The best of any Pete’s in Marin County. The staff courteous and professional. Weekends I have the house coffee and the chicken chorizo sandwich. Every afternoon I purchase my usual Green Ice tea. If I am with Kat she has her usual a Chi Latte. I highly recommend this Peet’s.

Worst service, every time, no exceptions. Doesn’t even matter how the beverages taste if it always takes 30 minutes to get something and the ambiance in there is terrible. Too bad.

UNGODLY FREEZING.
You can go to the north pole and be warmer, scale mount everest and it still wont feel as cold as this place.

I love Peet’s. This location is not good. I went in yesterday for a cappuccino. I was having a bad morning and very sad about some personal issues. Therefore I was not as loud as usual when placing my order. The cashier was very rude about it. She had my order just right. Then she had to change something for some reason and the whole thing was off. When I politely corrected the order she was very rude stating I was not loud enough in a condescending way. Not sure her name. She is the short gray haired lady. I would not recommend ordering with her again. I would recommend the downtown Novato location instead.

I love coffee, but love even more when the service is personalized. I highly recommend Peet’s Coffee to all my coffeeholics friends around Bay Area, in particular San Rafael. Yes, if you are in Marin county, try Peet’s by 3^rd street, San Rafael. You will be excited and fulfilled. Best

I once called this place «the ashtray» as it was surrounded by smokers, cigarette butts and a lot filled with cars. Well they replaced the outdoor umbrellas, sweep up far more frequently and seem to have a handle on their hiring. Staff is cordial, new day manager makes a nice cappuchino and the product is consistent if not spectacular. On the negative side they stopped the free medium beverage when you put $ 25 on your card. May cause me to hit up Weavers more often since their product is superior. Also the place is far too busy at 9am.

This place is really nice. They have great beverage with awesome customer service. Love this place at the first moment. Highly recommend

My first impression walking in was very simple, a smell of coffee beans and a happy face followed by the words «hello, what would you like today?» Everyone has their go to place for their morning coffee but there is a great and simple pride that comes as a customer at this location. I was introduced to Wonderful customer service and a very good morning from a young lady who made my work day very refreshing. Highly recommended coffee shop for that «oh god I work today.» Feeling!

I was very disappointed to see a basket full of Arrowhead water at Peet’s this morning. Arrowhead is a Nestle company. Nestlé is pulling ground water out of California during the worst drought in recorded history. It’s irresponsible of Nestle and pure greed. It is socially irresponsibly for Peet’s to buy and and resale Nestle water. For the most part the staff here is nice and friendly. They aren’t alway professional.

Total fan of the San Rafael location of Peet’s. Friendly staff. Drinks are exactly the same as the Peet’s I usually go to. Which, to me, is crucial. I truly value knowing that I can go to any Peet’s and get my favorite drink exactly the way its always made.
Parking is easy. In and out off the main road is easy. Nice bathrooms. Cozy seating area.

So glad peets have almond mocha. It’s delicious ! I always go to a peets when there’s one near work !

After dropping off the Leaf at the nearby Nissan dealership on a Saturday morning, I felt like I could really use a cup of coffee. I Unilocaled if there was a Peet’s around & this location was within walking distance.
Perfect. I could get in a walk & get my usual Red Eye while the dealership slapped on a pair of new tires. From the outside, this Peet’s location looks like a stone & wood cabin dropped into the city from the mountains.
Walking in, barely through the doorway, I was immediately at the back end of the long line to the counter for ordering. Oh boy, this is gonna take a while. Good thing I had plenty of time to kill. But then something unexpected happened.
The line moved. & kept moving. Fast. I watched the staff & they were a sight to behold. They were taking orders & cranking out coffee drinks like a NASCAR pit crew getting a race car back on the track.
Next thing I knew, my Red eye was in hand & I still had plenty of time to kill. Impressive. Seriously, as a group, the fastest & most efficient staff I’ve ever seen at a Peet’s. Or any other coffee shop, for that matter.
My Red Eye was right on & I used their free Wi-​Fi on my phablet for a while since there was time that still needed killing. Now I know. If I need coffee near downtown San Rafael, stat. This Peet’s is it.

Hate to say it but this location never gets my drink right and leaves a bad taste in my mouth literally. Are you coming back to give them another chance but each time is worse. I won’t be going back here again

This place is awesome. Highly recommend to all the coffee/​tea drinkers in Marin County or anyone just passing through

I found out today that long term Peet’s assistant manager Jeff, was let go by the manager at this location. I have no personal involvement in this situation and just speaking as a regular customer that buys products daily.
I find this impossible to believe. Jeff was major reason for store success. That manager is not well liked by customers and fellow employees at all. Peet’s local regional managers really need to look into how this store is run and why this great customer oriented employee was let go. Until then I will boycott this location.

I’m sure normally fine, however I am here now and I won’t come back anytime soon!
Ordered a Dry cappuccino but, had a ton of milk. No biggie I go back to the kid that made it, but a «mgr» I guess wanted to manage something that didn’t require any outside assistance then became real sonny to me and quote «may I assist you» after I said that it had ready been solved… but NO she has to raise her voice so the other patrons them all look over– great, that when I tried to ask for a new spoon… there on the bar she says but again, didn’t nor was I asking her for anything. She is my gage should know better. I was more embarrassed. Nuff said.
