Shark Stewards charters the Outer Limits for educational wildlife trips to the Farallon Islands each fall. This is the best boat to go to the islands with its stable hull, wide viewing area, jet motors that are whale friendly– and most important Captain Jim Robertson. Jim is a great mariner, upbeat, willing to stay on a whale as long as people can stand it, knowledgable about the ocean and fish and has great respect for the ocean and ocean life.

My son and I got a chance to go with Captain Jim on our fist ever ocean fishing trip. What a great day! I caught one and my son caught two. The boat landed 31 Salmon in total — with a few in the 25 – 30 pound range. And while catching fish is never a guarantee, almost everyone on board caught at least one and everyone went home with at least one salmon.
Jim and his crew are friendly and helpful — even at 5am! He took care to explain things to the new folk. I agree with the previous reviewer — the boat is very stable and no-​one on board experienced any seasickness.
I would definitely recommend!

Best salmon fishing charter and party boat around. Great stable cat boat, looks better than new. The captain Jim Robinson and Crew are professional, but make a day out fun as well.
