My first time here and I loved it! The girls are very gentle with their touch and I was relaxed the entire time.

Awesome! Super fast and wonderful service. Prices are great too. Love the owner! I just moved here from Chicago and won’t go anywhere else. This is a great place!

I treated my MIL to a manicure and a shoulder massage here earlier last month when we were staying nearby. The service done was good as far as I can tell. I get my nails done elsewhere, so while I did pay for the service, I did not get anything done here. She likes the shoulder massage and the manicure lasted a while for her and she’s happy, so I am happy. Only reason it did not get 4 stars is that I would have liked for her to get a back massage in one of those chairs, and they don’t have it. Aside from that, A-​ok in my book.

This was my second time having a pedicure from Jenny… apparently the new owner. She did a great job and I would recommend her highly. I live out of the area but play bocce across the street and so it’s a perfect fit. Thanks Jenny!

Jenny is the new owner of Onica Nail Salon since the beginning of 2014, and she is just terrific! She and her sister, Holly, now work the salon and their professional expertise is equal to the best!
Their prices are comparable, if not less than most salons. Her location is convenient — across the street from the B Street Safeway Store in San Rafael.

Jenny is so sweet. She just re-​opened Onica Nails. She did an excellent job and has great prices. I will definitely be back again!

I came here for a manicure this weekend. I chose Onica because it’s nearby and the prices are reasonable. I’m a bit particular about my nails because I play guitar and the right-​hand nails have to be a little longer so it’s great to find a place where they accommodate unique requests. The lady who did my manicure was friendly, efficient and did a great job, so I’ll probably come again.

I would give them ZERO STARS if I could. THIS PLACE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and INCONSIDERATE of their «clients».
Lily was doing my nails. She went on vacation. I called to make an appointment when I thought enough time had gone by for her to be back. A differnent lady, I did not know, answered the phone and said Lily was free at 3 in two days. I hesitated on the time, I was thinking of my day and how that work work and then the lady said I can do your nails at 10. I told her I was unsure about seeing someone new (for a pink and white) as I finally liked the shape of my nails. She insisted that she could do it. I should have known better! I told her I could come at 11:00. She said 10:45 and I told her I would try.
Imagine my surprise when I show up at 10:50. The woman said I needed to come back at 3 because she since took a walk in since I didn’t call. FIVE MINUTES LATE FOLKS. I said, you are kidding right? I look over at Lily and she doesn’t even look me in the eye, but she is listening to the whole thing and has a smirk on her face. Seriously! What kind of a business doesn’t wait FIVE MINUTES?. I am still shocked how unprofessional these women are. Dont waste your time. They are nothing special. There are tons of places to get your nails done, that are happy to have your business and are way more professional in their business dealings.

Lilly does the best acrylic nails in Marin and also at the best price. Acrylics are so easy to get wrong but she always gets the exact shape I want (and I am always changing my shape). Also, I have had so any problems in the past with my acrylics breaking but since I have been going to Lilly that has not happened. I am grateful to have finally found someone I trust will do a good job every time.

Great place for manicure and pedicure, they take care of men well and do an excellent job, whereas most places blow through and hack the cuticles so they tear and bleed, not Lan or Lily, beautiful every time. They are awesome. Located right across from B street Safeway in San Rafael next to 7 Eleven at 707 B street.

LOVE Onica Nail! Been new to san Rafael over the last year, tested 3 other places before finding this place. Close to home and SO friendly and comfortable. My polish has never lasted longer without chipping… EVER! Lan & Lily are both fabulous! Best to call in advance for an appointment but if available will take drop ins. Its a small salon, but intimate and fabulous!

I had done my pink n white manicure with Lily for 5 years I love it .The only thing they speak a lot they language.

Lilly still does great pink and white nails — BUT lately she and the other lady that works there talk in Vitnamese all the time — i really do not like that — I feel it is pretty disrespectful to the customer.
I also have heard a couple complaints from my girlfriends now that that bothers them and that the other lady is a bit rude — said to one of my friends: «What — only $ 3??» when she gave her a $ 3 tip — whoa — tips are tips and should be appreciated, not expected and even if you expect more — you do not say it to the customer.
Also her nose runs all the time from I believe allergies and she wipes her runny nose with her hands and does not wash them and keeps on working…
Really not good — what happened to my clean, nice nail salon??? Get back on track ladies!!!

I have been to several nail salons in Marin over the past few years. As I’m inconsistent with my appointment times I am usually given the new person at the different salons. I’ve found that they usually speak no English and can’t understand when I’m asking them a question. And although I would frequent them up to a dozen times, they looked at me as if they had never seen me each time I walked in their door. There is also, usually, a tv blaring crappy Oprah or Extra episodes.
My friend and her mother have been going to Lily and Lan for 9 years. I was never able to get with them at the other nail salon but I’m please to say that they are the only one’s at Onica and my nails are perfect!
Lan and Lily speak English well and understand when I ask for something specific. They are also so thorough that I actually don’t need to direct them in anyway. Lan is very sweet and has an eagle eye for detail. There is no TV! and no terrible music playing. It’s just a quiet, relaxing experience.

I love this place! There is something about that vine plant that is growing all over the wall that is sooooooo soothing. I cherish Lilly, the owner, she is very beautiful and friendly and does a perfect acrylic nail!!! The other sweetheart, Lan, that did my pedicure, was louder and funny, and just as awesome, really got the corners of my toe nails smooth for all this weather’s boot wearing! Highly recommended!

I’ve been going to Onica Nails for over 3.5 years. I love Lily and her work is always excellent and consistent. They have remodeled and have beautiful décor. There pedicure chairs with the massage units in them are off the hook. I have turned on several of my friends to her and they love her as well.
I highly suggest giving her a try. You can see for yourself that once you go, you will be addicted.

A friend referred me to Onica Nails two years ago, and I’ve been a steady customer since that time. Lily does the BEST pink & white nails in the area… I constantly have people asking me where I get my nails done!
Good prices and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
