Great customer service and selection makes up for higher prices at this San Rafael beauty supply spot.
I came by recently looking for something to help with the skin near my new facial hair expansion. The service was great, the nice lady promptly asked if I needed anything and quickly figured out some options for me. In the past I’ve also had great service finding products and getting advice. Took a while for her to make it back for checkout though, they could use another hand so someone is always out on the floor.
I’m not sure if the name is current, I have the beauty shop on a price tag. Overall, they have the largest selection of face, hair and beauty products I’ve ever seen. Their men’s section is limited, but there are many products that work on us as well. Because most of it is higher end, and this is Marin, factor in an extra 20 percent from what you’d expect to pay.
Massive selection of hair, face and beauty products, along with helpful staff, should make this your stopping place to grab such goodies and get advice.

Mery the hair Goddess is absolutely amazing! She is as skillful as anyone I have gone to and has all the top customer service graces to boot. I highly recommend Mery for a great hair experience. I’ve been seeing her for awhile but my last hair cut was absolutely great — I love it and my partner tells me to «keep doing whatever you did to your hair.»
Also, Mery has always been great when I’ve asked for things a particular way. This is a big deal in a hair stylist. I have never felt that she has her own agenda with my hair. In addition, it’s nice to hang out in the big, roomy store.

A weird hairdresser paces around the shop, bothers the customers and degrades every aspect of the Never Land shopping experience.
I received the WORST hair cut ever. Even the other workers don’t like the weird hair dresser. When I complained, it was obvious that the manager is intimidated by the weird hair dresser, so I asked to speak to the owner.
The owner never contacted me, nor have I been given my money back so that I can fix this cut.
The nail lady is very good, and they do try, but the weirdo ruined my looks and I can’t afford to fix this hair mess until my next pay day.
!!! BEWARE !!! NEVER LAND WILL RUIN YOUR DAY !!! AVOID THE PLACE !!!

They tried to enforce a 30 return policy at first at 25 days. Then said I can return it because it is make up, I didn’t see a posting anywhere about that policy. I even asked when they told me and they said it didn’t exist but it is a store policy. Bad policy all get your policy straight! I won’t recommend this place.

Neverland Beauty has a HUGE variety of haircare products. Salon grade and regular store stuff. It’s kind of overwhelming actually. The prices are expensive but that’s kind of expected. I didn’t check to see whether they bump the prices but I imagine that they probably don’t. Not only do they have a variety of products, the products come in different bottle sizes.
You will also find a selection of blowdryers in the back and travel-​size products towards the front. There’s also a random selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses towards the front.
The staff lady asked if I needed assistance in a non-​pushy way, which I appreciate. I talked to her for a little bit and she was super nice.

I was wandering around Downtown San Rafael yesterday and had more time than things to do. Then I remembered that I was out of Redken Shampoo and Gayle was out of Conditioner. The Shampoo part was easy, but I couldn’t recognize the Conditioner that Gayle prefers. And since Gayle take great care of her wonderful head of red hair, I decided to save that money for another day.
Neverland Beauty has a huge selection of hair care products, plus a salon in the back. I found that the service was friendly and helpful, and with the right degree of «find my own way» detachment. Prices are a bit dear and you really do have to know what you’re looking for. Otherwise, the nearby Walgreen’s might be a better choice.
