The other reviews sum it up — she really listens and she REALLY delivers. Simple as that! I have kind of wacky hair and it doesn’t phase her in the slightest, I’m pretty sure this girl can tackle anything that comes her way!

I was always one of those women who NEVER had a regular hair stylist. In fact I would just walk by a place a say «that looks good,…I think I will try it». I met Marc Machado when he was at Regis Salon and followed him to James Rose. We immediately connected because of his fun personality and his gift of doing hair. I have been seeing him regularly for about 6 months now, and I trust him completely to make good decisions about my hair. I get compliments all the time. For me it is the loyalty I have towards Marc that keeps me coming back, because he not only is great with my hair he has become my friend. I have recommended him to all of my friends including my 17 year old daughter. He is a true professional.

He’s truly the best. I’ve been seeing him for 4 years now and he’s never let me down. My hair truly belongs to him, I trust him to do whatever he wants and I always know that I’ll be pleased with the results. He genuinely cares about his clients and goes above and beyond.

After choosing this salon based on good Unilocal reviews, I keep going back for the good haircuts from Elisa. She knows how to work with my wavy hair so that it looks good when it air dries. Many stylists find this a challenging combination, but not Elisa. I also appreciate the all natural products the salon offers.

Jenny Sack is where it’s at. I have a curly mane of hair that Jenny has beautifully shaped and colored for the past year. The last cut and color I got yielded me FIVE compliments on the street within two blocks of leaving the salon. She is exceptional with color — and I have complicated hair: highlights, base color and a lot of weathering from sun and salt to consider. Jenny always does an incredible job, is fun to hang out with and the whole experience is just relaxing.
James Rose Salon is always ten degrees warmer than the city, comfortable, sleek and inviting. Free parking passes, some great magazines to keep you in full leisure mode — and wifi when you need to work, not to mention fresh Peet’s coffee… Hair day is something I look forward to now.

Jenny Sack has been doing my hair for years now, from color to cut she’s great. The best things about her is that she really listens to what you want, recognizes when you’re unsure, and uses her best aesthetic judgement when you can’t decide for yourself. I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on my hair. If I could give her more stars I would.

Elisa has been doing my hair for years
and years
and YEARS.
I have curly curly hair, but it’s extremely thin at the same time — this combination requires someone that knows just what they are doing, and Elisa more than knows. She listens closely to what you want, notices how you style your own hair, asks what products you already are using — takes every little detail into account and designs the perfect cut for you that you will, I guarantee, will adore.
I always hated going to stylist that wanted to go ape shit on my hair when done with the cut — I mean I even had an older woman that was all too excited to tease the shit out of it and spray spray spray. I know that I need have no concern for this debauchery with Elisa, she subtly finishes your hair and you don’t have to run to your car when you’re done and put a hat on, which, I have done on more than one occasion with other stylists.
You need a cut — or even if you don’t and want a whole new look coif and color, I got your Girl.

David @ James Rose Salon does a great job every time. No matter what style your looking for Man or Woman, young or old you’re sure to get something fresh and sophisticated.
I’ve been getting haircuts form DK for a long time now and most of the time I just give him a view points in any direction and he takes it to the next level.

DK (The Wizard of Hair) Karvasales is brilliant.
My wife’s hair had started to look like «Cousin Itt.» Yet Dave managed to tame «Hairzilla,» and even make her happy! He made her hair look so silky, smooth and polished even she was amazed.
Then he cut my hair, too. Now – I don’t have much hair, so I’d gotten used to cutting it myself with one of those trimmer things – I know, it probably looked like I cut it myself, but hey, I’m a guy and I’m impatient and if I can stand on the deck and trim my own head that’s easy, right.
So I didn’t really think I needed Dave’s help, but boy was I wrong. He didn’t just buzz me, he carefully trimmed away until my hair was perfectly even, smooth – and had a shine like stainless steel – it looks shockingly good. Dave also trimmed my ears (which have magical hair-​growing properties) and my eyebrows so I was all neatly groomed.
So – if you have a lot of hair – Dave can make it look like you just stepped out of a Pantene commercial. If you don’t have a lot of hair, Dave can make you look like you’re ready for a GQ photo shoot.
What’s more, Dave’s friendly, fun, and the James Rose salon is elegant, with an easy, inexpensive parking structure in the back with one hour free parking. What more could you possibly ask for?
