Foot Traffic Shoes

It’s not just that you will get better care at Foot Traffic than you will at any other shoe store in northern California, it’s that you will get better care at Foot Traffic than you will at any other business establishment in the entire universe. Great selection of shoes, but it is Darryl and Tawna and everyone else involved who make the store a unique experience. Darryl would not let me leave until he was satisfied that the shoe, and his adjustments to it, met his expectations, expectations that were frankly higher than mine. I’m just not used to someone with such exacting standards in the retail business. Absolutely the greatest.

I purchased a pair of shoes from Foot Traffic and at that time the owner mentioned that he had equipment to enhance shoe comfort. I brought in a pair of shoes (not purchased from his store) and without question or hesitation he offered to fix my problem. He assessed the issue in seconds and said that I could pick up the shoes in couple of days. It was a pleasure going into a store receiving excellent service.

Excellent selection of boots year round. I’m able to always find shoes that feel and look good for every occasion! I’ve always had a great laugh with everyone who’s been there, enjoy being invited to guest events and anniversary parties!

By far my favorite shoe store in Marin. Always an awesome selection with boots and sandals carried all year round. I’ve been coming here for over a year and the customer service tops the selection of amazing shoes. Darryl is a miracle worker if you have any problems with your feet. I used to think living with pain in my feet was a given for me. With Darryl’s expertise in «tweaking» the fit I am now walking comfortably and my feet look good! If you want a shoe store in Marin that cares… you’ve found it!

These guys are the ultimate comfort experts. My feet are ridiculously happy after visiting the staff of foot traffic. My plantar fasciitis is healing nicely. Top notch service!

This is such a great store. Fantastic selection of cool shoes that actually don’t harm your feet! The personnel really care about making sure a shoe fits you perfectly, and have a thorough understanding of foot anatomy and function so can help if you have any problems. Fantastic selection of very high quality inserts, including low profile ones for dress shoes, and the expertise to set your tootsies up to be happy. So glad they are on 4^th Street to provide some high quality retail and service.

This is a rather difficult review for me to write, as I am not in the habit of complaining or composing anything scathing. I wandered into this shop yesterday and have nothing but great things to say about two of the employees – they were wonderful, kind, funny. However, there was a third who treated me in a very unexpected, INCREDIBLY inappropriate way and as much as I don’t want to rehash this with potential readers, obviously I feel strongly enough to do so.
I was trying on hats when approached by a man asking if I needed help or if I was feeling neglected. I mentioned that I was browsing and he left me alone, checking every so often to make sure I ‘wasn’t neglected.’ I was looking for a smaller hat size & he asked if I knew how to wear it properly, if he could show me. He then grabbed my hair (it’s long, past my bust) and pulled it to the side, combing his fingers through it including over my scalp – maybe about 10 – 15 strokes overall, including getting his fingers tangled and pulling my hair rather sharply. Of note, I did NOT consent for him to put his hands on me in any way. While I liked the hat, I told him I would think about it and I left (I very badly wanted to get away from there).
Against my better judgment, I returned to the shop to buy the hat. After seeing me, he asked if I remembered how to properly wear it. I nodded & he said, ‘Good, I don’t want to have wasted my time.’ I walked out at that – there was no way I was about to pay someone for being so condescending.
It is not okay to treat women this way. It doesn’t matter that he was older, it’s 2016 and misogyny is a no-​go.

I’d like to add that after writing this, I was grateful to receive a heartfelt apology from this man. While I have no interest in returning to this store, his gesture is thoughtful and appreciated.

I walked in on a Sunday afternoon with a desire to look around and see what kind of shoes they had for sale. I was met by Darryl, the owner and manager who was very helpful in narrowing down and homing in on the type of shoe that was best for my needs. Within 25 minutes of walking into the store, Darryl had me fitted with a great pair of shoes. You can go to any shoe store to get a pair of shoes, but if you want high quality customer service and a knowledgable staff that can help you find the right pair of shoes for you, then come into Foot Traffic. Keep up the good work Darryl, you guys are awesome!

I ‘be read numerous rave reviews about Foot Traffic on Unilocal.NO WONDER! Darren, who assisted me, and was most knowledgeable about my podiatry challenges. He went out of his way to find appropriate, comfortable,
stylish shoes for me to try. There are many fine choices for people of all ages, and particularly, for those who have problem feet.
From now on, Foot Traffic will be my go-​to shoe store when I’m in Marin.

Stumbled into Foot Traffic last week on my poor old broken feet. Needed shoes. Got shoes. But the real treasure there is the incredible personal attention that my feet got from the owner. I mean, these are ugly, misshapen feet, and they were shod carefully by a very knowledgable owner who seemed to really care to make the fit as good as could be. Short story, this is where I’ll buy my shoes from now on. Recommended highly. Wonderful people, above and beyond attention to detail, a model for how all businesses should treat their customers.

Wonderful place with some very nice people. I work not too far away from this place and I had seen it driving into work everyday. I finally got a chance to stop in and try and get some new work shoes. I walked in and I was greeted immediately with a warm hello. I told them my basic information (dress work shoes, inserts for arch support, that I am on my feet all day, etc) They had suggestion right away and they were never pushy and didn’t try to up-​sell me at all. In fact they did their best to save me as much money as they could. I will be going back for more shoes as payday and holidays allow.

I used to go to Berkeley to shoe shop before I found this treasure close by. I bought a pair of Samuel Hubbard shoes I found on the internet. They have an extensive collection of top name brands to choose from. Nice socks too. They offer friendly knowledgeable service. I will be back for my next pair of shoes.

The customer service in this store is unsurpassed. Never before have I had my foot analyzed, in addition to the standard sizing, to insure the best fit possible.
If you have foot problems or simply want to find some well made, attractive shoes you should give this store a try. They will be my «Go To» store in the future.

The owner Darryl is legit. Has such a good command of physiology and biomechanics on par with what you’d expect from a podiatrist. Came in with chronic pain in first metatarsal area and having bought custom $ 400 orthotics. I would’ve been better off getting Darryl’s insights and $ 39 off the shelf orthotics he further modified. Immediately felt better with a pair of Ahnu’s purchased here, modified with orthotics and a bunion protector. Seriously if you’re a complex foot person, come here before spending time and money with PT’s and podiatrists.
I’d recommend calling ahead for appt w the owner Darryl if you’d like the specialized attn. His repeat customers all seemed to have done that.

Happened upon Foot Traffic, desperate for relief from plantar fasciitis. I came in around closing time, on the owner’s BIRTHDAY no less, and was treated like a princess. I ended up with a very hot pair of Alegria Ella Black Sprigs and wanted to cry for the pleasure and relief of wearing them out of the shop. Darryl made sure they were properly fitted, with inserts and all. Honestly, I wear them every day now, and look forward to my next shopping trip at Foot Traffic. Thanks so much you guys!

If you want attention to detail for your foot needs, this is the place! Darryl the owner is amazing and takes his time to address all of your concerns. He is very down to earth and so is his wife! I really enjoyed talking to both of them! My partner and I met Ben a few days before and he’s a great guy and great addition to their team. I work in a business on 4^th street and being that I stand and walk a lot, I’m excited to have a place to take care of my foot needs! I highly recommend checking this place out! Thanks guys!
I saw Ben today to see if we could find a way to get some supports for another one of my favorite shoes that I haven’t worn in a while because the soles were so uncomfortable and he nailed it! I am so happy that I can now wear these awesome shoes again and not have such sore feet! Thanks Ben! I really appreciate your time and making my slightly used shoes feel new again! Great service, excellent selection and quality shoes.
I’m a guy who is known to buy shoes for under $ 50.00 but I’m not against spending over a hundred for good quality. So I did and I couldn’t be happier.
I will definitely shop here again.
Also, I saw great women’s shoes, my girlfriend will no doubt love this place too.

What an amazing place. They’re a local business who sell awesome attractive comfy shoes, for the whole family. Great deals as well. I overheard them say they customize inserts and guarantee your shoes fit and feel good. After 5 minutes of talking to the owner he offered to donate customers old shoes for our homeless clients. Just an overall great experience with impeccable customer service. Please frequent this local business and the good karma in there. Your feet will be very appreciative

It’s a testament to Foot Traffics exceptional and warm character that I have created an account solely to leave one review. I’ll use as few words as I can because there isn’t any amount of them that will articulate how appreciative of their exceptional services I am. For one, the shoes are on point and the place gives an ode to the dapper style. And that’s a time defiant class that’s always settled nicely with me.
I’m a picky man when it comes to clothes and style but Foot traffic fit the bill nicely.
Now get in there because nothing is more worthy of your hard working feet than the slick kicks they have. It’s not just the shoes you’ll love but the service which feels as homey as it can get. The owners are real with you, no fakery. No lip-​service, just genuine care for you and what they are able to provide you with. You know you’re at the right place when the staff sound like co-​buyers rather than salesman.
I just moved to LA and there are plenty of shoe stores here but if there wasn’t one I wouldn’t mind because I’d be calling foot traffic for my next pair anyway. There isn’t one shoe stop in all of California that’s going to get my patronage over Foot Traffic.

I found Foot Traffic on Unilocal,read the great reviews, went there and I can confirm this is a wonderful store with awesome staff! So very knowledgeable, helpful, thorough, FRIENDLY, and with a stylish selection of very comfortable shoes. I’ve been having toe problems for months, and the shoes I bought took that pain away instantly! I can’t believe it!
I was also advised what to buy for my corn (and now I know it’s a corn), an inexpensive remedy, but with my lovely new shoes I almost don’t need it (but I’m using it anyway).
I’m completely satisfied and can’t wait to go back for another pair, when I can justify buying them.
