Bark Busters Home Dog Training

We are very lucky to have Karen’s help in training our one-​year old high-​energy doodle. Karen is extremely positive and helpful and has given us the confidence we need to correct our pup’s behaviors, which have frustrated us tremendously in the past. She is impressive in her ability to handle and understand our dog, and has taught us effective ways to communicate with him and encourage better behavior.
I wish we had contacted Karen earlier. Past training classes have helped us establish the basics with our puppy, but didn’t provide ongoing involvement and support like BarkBusters does.
Karen is easy to reach and is always standing by to offer extra coaching as we need it or arrange house-​visits or walks. It’s a relief to know she’s on our team.

We hired Karen to help us with our seven month old Pitty pup. Slurpee is smart and strong and very friendly. However, he liked to scratch the back door and jump on the sofa uninvited and generally be a big puppy. I was really pleased to see that Karen came into our house and made my daughter and both my husband and myself very comfortable with her knowledge and handling of Slurpee. He is a big, high energy dog and he focused for her right away. Before she left the house he no longer scratched at the door. It was really amazing to see. She has come back many times to walk with me, advise us, give me leashes and generally be helpful. She showed us how to make sure Slurpee is learning what to do, not just being told what to do. I really recommend her to someone who needs help and a committed trainer.

I have a mutt poodle Benji that is 2. He is very affectionate towards me and my wife but he didn’t listen to our commands and whenever we had friends or family over the house, he jumped on them. We wanted to turn things around.
After reading a bunch of reviews and speaking to veterinarians and friends we decided Bark Busters looked the best. I contacted Karen Gaines from Bark Busters and described the problem. We made an appointment and I crossed my fingers.
After day one we saw a big improvement. Karen explained why Benji was acting the as he did, what we did to contribute, and how to fix it. She broke every behavior down and educated us on how dogs think. We were amazed. We knew that if we followed the instructions and remained motivated that it would work out. We did all our homework.
I would recommend Bark Busters and Karen to anyone who needs help and is willing to put in 15 – 20 minutes of work per day.
