The green onion sure is not like the old days when the chips were hot and the salsa was perfect. Now your lucky to even get a basket of chips. Went last night and had the worst service ever the waiter is not there best and when I seen him I knew I was in for it. Had to ask for water 3 times. Had to ask for chips and salsa. Finally took our order and when my moms came out she could not eat it since it was so salty. Will be staying away for awhile.

I frequently come here with friends and we really enjoy the whole experience. The drinks are great, the food is flavorful and the portions are good sized. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new Mexican place to try.

Went for lunch and their special was awesome. Large plate for $ 6 and service was prompt and very nice. Might hit it again while I’m in town for 3 days, even.

Ahhhhhhhmazing Mexican good & good prices. Been here probably 6x & have never waited longer than 15 minutes to be seated. Brought out the food promptly & everything tasted great! Ordered the wet burrito with beans cheese & rice. Amazing. My bf ordered enchiladas with chile verde sauce. So good. Absolutely no complaints!

I love this place. The Midori Margaritas & Cadillacs are great! I adore the Mushroom Quesadilla with Guacamole. The flautas are great and I love the enchiladas. My family loves to eat here and I can meet friends here for happy hour. I’ve never had a bad meal here and the staff are always nice. I have been coming here for years and the quality of food is still outstanding.

Awesome service –we walked in with a party of 15 and they seat us almost immediately. They had enough menu options to take care of our gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian people. Salsa was delicious! Chips were still warm. Shrimp Bahia was delish! They even have burgers for the nontraditionalists. Margaritas were perfect. I’m definitely coming back when I’m in the area!

I used to love eating at this place, but recently their service and food have been not tasteful at all. Service: slow. Server: big attitude problems. Food: meh. I will not recommend to anyone ever again to try this place out.

I came here the other night to have dinner. I have never heard of this place, although I don’t hang around San Pedro often. Apparently it’s a good local flavor, so here I came. I ordered the mixed fajitas, and had a shot of vodka to wash it down. The fajitas were very tasty. The meat was tender and cooked to the right temperature. The rice, beans, and cheese were a perfect complement to the meal. The tortillas were warm and fresh. The guacamole wasn’t bad at all, although I didn’t taste the sour cream. The vodka was straightforwardly good. The décor is interesting here. They have photos of what, I’m assuming, are long-time customers. They also have several photos of senior NCOs and officers from the local air force base. I will be back to try out their other entrees. They did a good job this time, and may they keep up the good work.

Food is cheap and ok tasting but not worth it. They take forever to seat you or even take your order. The food was not even that good and a caesar salad i got was really wet and barely had enough dressing. We had one server come up to us once in our time there. Anyways we went about our day and later ended up getting sick. I am sure it was the food since we had both eaten there and feeling the same what else could it be.

I’ll give them a mulligan on last night’s service(around 6 p.m.) BUT, the waitress provided the worst service I ever encountered here. We never even got the tortillas. The only thing she was quick with was putting the check on the table. They pour great drinks. Food is delicious. I especially like the camarones with garlic/butter sauce. As I said, I’ll give them a pass on this visit… BUT!!!

We all know how it is when one has a long time relationship, and there is a falling out, but most importantly, when things improve, there is nothing better than make-up dining! Well we finally got back to this fine locale and were treated to a feast and some outstanding customer service and a table with a view to watch the cruise ships waddle on by. At first I was a bit surprised that it took longer than 10 seconds to get our bowl of house made tortilla chips and salsa, but at last the goodies arrived. I love the house ‘hot’ special salsa as it is filled with fresh chopped jalapeños and perhaps other secret ingredients. A definite must-have over the regular octane. We started off with a two-fister double margarita, frozen. Mmm that was so good. It is always a difficult decision whether to go for the steak ranchero or the beef fajitas. I went for the fajitas and I am still stuffed. We also had the shrimp fajitas. Both dishes pipping hot when they arrive at the table, the fresh grilled veggies had an amazing ‘char’ on them(the shrimp as well) exploding with flavour(remember to add in the house high octane salsa!). The guacamole side was excellent and unfortunately they always bring out this plate of delicious rice and refried beans that one has to eat, right? I am soooo stuffed. A fantastic meal along with the efficient and attentive customer service made for a great night.

The worst Mexican food I have ever was like eating salt. The waiter recommend the carnitas and I asked him twice is it salty. he said not at all and it was pure salt. The best thing I had was the chips. all the other food was bad too. Very disappointed, I hate that the waiter talked me out of ordering fajitas.

I’m not sure what people don’t like about this place. I’ve only been here twice, but I’ve also only lived in San Pedro for 3 weeks. The portions are ridiculously huge and the drinks are strong. First time I ordered the carnitas torta which was one of the best mexican meals I’ve had in the States. The second time we ordered in for a business meeting and trying to be healthy I ordered the grilled chicken salad which I would not recommend. I found a few pieces of wilted lettuce, but at least the chicken was good. That’s what happens when you don’t order mexican food at a mexican restaurant. But if you’re that kind of person they also have hamburgers. Happy hour goes until 7 and has super strong margaritas for $ 3.50.

Came here for the first time today. The second we sat down we had chips n salsa. Although it took our waited a while to get to us it was understandable since they were pretty busy. Our food came out pretty quick. Food was okay… I had the chile relleno… I kinda felt like everything on my plate had the exact same taste. I kept eating chips and salsa in between to switch it up. Hubby had machaca plate. He enjoyed it. I’ll definitely give this place another try in the future.

Meh. Food is just ok. I usually go to meet with a friend who loves this place. The salsa is not my favorite. I have had fajitas and their three tacos plate. Just nothing I would crave. It is a very family oriented and«Pedro» place with family pictures everywhere.

I’ve been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl. I have such great family memories here and it brings back so much nostalgia! I can’t say anything bad about Green Onion. As usual, the crunchy tortilla chips and chunks of tomato in the salsa were delicious. I had the Taco and Enchilada Combination Plate and it did not disappoint. The rice and blacks beans are so good, especially when you use the chips to scoop up the black beans. A perfect combination! Also, an iced chill beverage is a must. There’s nothing like washing down your meal with a refreshing, crisp coke. I’ve tried a majority of their items on the menu and there hasn’t been one thing I didn’t like.
