BG Haircuts

Never had a problem coming here. Always enjoyed my haircut. Bong is extremely nice and does good cuts. She runs the place extremely well. If you’re looking for a nice cut I would recommend her. I usually go for a simplistic a trim and layers and loved it every time. My boyfriend gets his eyebrow waxing done here and haircuts and never had a bad experience either.

I have been coming to Bong for years. She is sweet and welcoming all the time and once of the hardest working women I know. She cares a lot about her clients. Even though I moved 45 mins away I still go see her for my haircut. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

This review is solely for my son (9 year old) haircut.
I’ve been bringing him here for the past few years and Bong is consistent, fast and friendly. He likes to get a faux hawk haircut and appears to like the way she cuts it, he doesn’t request anything fancy. So if you are looking for a nice and simple boys cut I’d give her a try.

I have been going to Bong for many years to get my haircut, colored and highlights. I would also have her wax my lips and eyebrows. The very last time I had my eyebrows waxed my face was burned. It looked as if someone scratched my face up where she waxed. I went to show Bong and I honestly thought she would compensate me some how all I got was I am sorry my wax was to hot. Next time I will let the wax cool down. Yeah right I thought not letting you do my wax again. I gave her another chance and just let her stick to cutting my hair. I believe she was shocked that I had my waxing done by someone else she asked me who did it and I told her where I get my nails done. I think she was upset because the last haircut I got from her was horrible I had to go home and try to clean my hair up. It took me an half hour to 45 min to try to style my hair. I decided to give someone else a try and she wanted to know who cut my hair and when I asked her why she said the cut was so horrible. My new hairstylist actually layered my hair and Bong said my hair could not be layered, maybe because bong does not know how to do it. It only took me 10 min to style my hair and I am loving my new haircut nice knowing you bong but you lost a dedicated long time customer I wish you luck. THINK TWICE ABOUT GOING TO BG Haircuts

BG Haircuts did an awful job on my son’s hair. I felt so sick when she was done. based on other reviews i was hoping for a nice clean cut for my picture day which I was going to spend $ 60 for a package. yeah right! Bong did a horrible job. First of all the place was dirty and kids running all over the place going through her drawers and just hanging out. Very very unprofessional! And as my son was getting a haircut, she gets interrupted by a man talking about food. Which I can see where she may have gotten distracted and completely fucked up my sons hair. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!!! It’s very disappointing when you have high expectations specially when she asks you for a picture of how you want your haircut an completely doesn’t follow through on your request. It’s absolutely ridiculous to even ask for a picture if your just going to cut it any way you like it. I am completely dissatisfied with BG Haircuts.

My usual hairstylist was on maternity leave, and I needed my hair trimmed. I tried this place, but was disappointed. The woman who cut my hair was nice, but after seeing a few other people walk into the store, she started rushing. My hair was cut lopsided. She was very nice, but I didn’t appreciate how she rushed my haircut just because it was an hour til closing time and there were a few others who needed to cut their hair. I spent $ 20 bucks on what was supppsed to be a simple trim. Maybe I just came at a bad time, but regardless, she was rushing things. Also, I only got 2 inches cut off, yet it was $ 20 bucks?! I suggest either coming earlier or not coming at all especially if just for a trim.
Edit: Haircuts here are actually only $ 17, but she CHARGED me an extra $ 3 for a tip I NEVER said she could have.

I’ve been coming here for 2 years now and my son and I always love the way Bong cuts our hair. I can’t believe there are ignorant people leaving bad reviews about bong. She is very nice and always greets you even if she is super busy.

i just went in today and it all turned out great. thanks bong i love my new hair cut. she did great with my hair and with my two year old boy hair too. i will be going here again… she left my hair really soft and shinny and smelling great … i am really happy with my hair cut… i’m glad i think i have found my hair dresser… =) really clean and fast and best of all i didn’t need an appointment…

She cuts hair alright, but I was extremely disappointed in the cleanliness. It started with having to sit in a chair that had hair clippings all over it from her last client, then she picked up a pair of scissors that were covered in his hair and proceeded to cut my hair with them. Next when I went to get my brows done, the table to lay down on had fresh dirty shoe prints on it & the towel I laid my head on didn’t look any cleaner. She also got the wax in my hair…
I used to go here for years, but lately it’s been getting worse & worse & today was the last straw, especially being charged $ 45 for that experience.

Bong is a very nice lady. She did a great job with my haircut. I definitely recommend this place.

If I could rate this place a no star I would. Bong or whatever her name is is probably one of the laziest and unprofessional I have ever encountered. She barely cut my hair and told me it was done. I told her how exactly I wanted and she argued with me instead and told me it would not look good on me. Bitch! I’ve always get my hair done like that!!!
So go to this place at your own risk. I will never go back to this place ever!

Been coming here for the past 6 years, even when I had moved 30 miles away. The shop is clean and quiet. Bong is just one of the handful of hairdressers who can cut my hair and do it right.

Bong is the personification of someone who came to this country and brought a great work ethic with her. I have been going to her for over 10 years, I took my 85+ father for several years and after he moved to Oregon, she asked after him every visit. She took one look at my partner and cut his hair exactly according to a picture he’d cut out.
I travel a lot for business and have been to salons in HI, DC, VA, FL and beyond. I’ve yet to have anyone do a more precise cut, even for 3x what Bong charges.
Do you wait when you walk in? Yes! It’s not like there are 20 cutters who can’t work anywhere but an assembly-​line shop chomping at the bit to get someone — anyone — into their chair. This is a personal touch lady with a personal touch. Can you get an appointment if you are on a schedule? Yes — and you get in the chair within 5 minutes of the appointment.
If you want to be treated like a princess but have the attitude of a spoiled brat, you won’t like this place. Go someplace else that charges you for insincere flattery and doting. Bong’s loyal and appreciative clients don’t wanna listen to your whining. If you want great service at a great price (that’s VALUE) come sit a spell, and if you have to wait a few minutes, you are next to a game store, a Tortilla Shop and a Subway. Get a snack!

My brother-​in-​law has been going to BG Haircuts for a llonnngg time and I thought I’d try it out. Bong was totally nice and she gave me a really GOOD wash! It was much needed scalp therapy for my head!
The cut was simple. I just wanted a trim, layers & side-​swept bangs. The cut didn’t take too long and the price was only $ 20. My hair feels lighter, healthier… and did I mention she gives a really good wash?

Bong is the fastest haircutter ever. You could have a huge line in front of you, and you’ll be up next before you know it. She cuts the hair damn good also. I just don’t really like the environment of this place. I guess I’m used to a barbershop being really talkative and friendly, but this place seems like business only. Bong is great and all, but not the best when it comes to conversation. Still, she’s very good and fast, so this place only gets minus 1 star for the environment.

I go here to get my hair trimmed… And so do my parents. We like Bong and how she cuts. She speaks fairly good English and is definitely friendly when you get your hair cut by her.
There was a another female that worked in her store that no longer works there but got me coming back her even when she left. It’s close to home as well. The pricing is decent. But hospitality is an A+

Bong is one of the least professional hairdressers I’ve ever encountered. The last (and I do mean last) time I was in there, she gave me a very lopsided haircut and then tried to pass it off as my hair «being wet on one side».
When I went back to get it fixed (for free), she was similarly unprofessional, telling people waiting for a haircut after me that I was just upset because I didn’t look like the picture.
That picture got me a fantastic cut several months before, which is why I was using it. Whatever the case may be, the lady in the picture didn’t have a horribly lopsided cut.
I would just avoid this place. If you’re looking for a cheap haircut, there are plenty of other places to go.
Just an FYI: They do tipping differently. You need to let them know how much you want to tip BEFORE they run your card. There’s no way to do it after (e.g. on your receipt, like at most places), and you’ll find yourself scrambling for some cash to leave.

In real life, you get what you pay for. At BG Haircuts, you get better than what you pay for.
I hate, hate, hate getting my haircut. I hate spending the time. I hate the awkward small talk thing. It’s just a nuisance.
Not so bad with Bong. She’s great. She’s inexpensive. She’s super quick. She does what I want. I go on a weeknight; my partner gets her hair colored, her daughter gets her eyebrows waxed, and I get a haircut. Everybody’s happy.
I’ve been going to Bong for several years. My babe has been joining me for a few. We don’t have to go to Oakland, we get treated well, and we get a good deal.
What’s not to like?
My partner’s complaints: we sometimes have to wait. Price for color and trim comparable to other places she’s been.
But it’s my review. The wait doesn’t bother me (I don’t go on the weekend) and my haircut is $ 21 with a decent tip.

my boyfriend always go to this place once a month for a haircut. And I have to pay for it. cheap azz. It’s pretty cheap coz they do good haircuts.
But you just have to wait a while coz there’s always line and people waiting.

I always come to this place for my haircut, dye (and highlights) and occasional eyebrow waxing. I make it a point to avoid the weekend crowd so I go on a Monday or Tuesday (early afternoon). No complaints so far.
