Great place to eat! Only complaint I have is whenever I call to place an order for pickup they always put you on hold and, I don’t know but I think they forget that you’re on the phone. I’ve waited for over 30 mins to speak with someone to place my order. Most of the time I call the restaurant while I’m on my way there so my order is ready by the time I get there, but I’m STILL on hold by the time I get to the restaurant and when I walk in, they aren’t even busy at all and the girls are talking and goofing around behind the counter. I think they need some new staff because the service is just horrible.

Taqueria Maria never fails me! Loved their prawn burrito ! Food and salsa bar have always been fresh!

Absolutely the worst taqueria I have ever been to. I can’t believe that it is so busy all of the time. The meat is always cold and the chips are stale. I wasn’t finished with my meal and I got up to get a fork and the waitress took my plate away. I told her that I wasn’t finished and she didn’t stop them she dumped my food in the garbage without apologizing. I know she spoke English and understood me. I will never eat there again or recommend it to anyone.

I have never given a place a poor review. literally just bought chips to make my own nachos but decided to pop in anyway and after the two young ladies finished their conversation the nice one took my order and gave me my basket of chips the I turned to the other who had started cleaning the salsa bar and stood there and hoped she would move, then I said excuse me and she said «I know», I then go are you really not going to let me get my salsa she then proceeds to tell me I can wait till she’s done. I ate most of my nachos turned my plate upside down since whe likes wiping things down so bad and left. I will NEVER give my money to this place again.

To all the people looking for authentic Mexican food! Taqueria Maria is the place to go. This place has great music awesome salsas!
My first time coming here i was scared because I’m really picky with food being to salty or too spicy! This place had delicious food and I loved that the salsa is something you can pick yourself they have a table buffet style for salsas! Also I’m really picky with pastor meat (marinated pork), this was by far the best plqce I ever had pastor and my new go to place!

Came here for a good meal to eat before watching a movie.
I ordered the nachos with prawns. It was great. Covered in sour cream and a prawns was good.
The wait for the food wasn’t that bad either. Only had to wait for about 10 minutes. I was also with a friend so that was two plates that they had to make.
I come here to fullfill my taqueria place when I’m around this area. It also may be the best spot to pick from in the entire hilltop plaza if you are hungry and in the area.

This was my first time coming here. I ordered 3 tacos, one chicken & two steak. I honestly should have ordered chicken for all of them. The chicken was definitely was bomb! Food was good overall. Service was good, the cashier helped me out in figuring out what I was going to eat. Pretty simple for this one, good food for a good price, good service and a chill atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back here.

Went to hilltop mall, found this place on Unilocal.Thought to give it a try. I called in and ordered three burrito about 8pm on April 1^st 2016. One super shrimp burrito and two veggi burritos. I drove there to pick them up in about 10 – 15 min.. The same and only latino lady who picked up the call took my payment. Paid for them then drove home. I found out that they gave me a wrong order. They put in three burrito with meat. Since we have two vegetarians at home, we don’t know what to do about the three meat burrito. I called them back about 8:40pm. Told the lady who I talked before that she gave me a wrong order. She simply just hanged up on me. I tried to call back 5 times in the next 20 min before they close and no one picked up. I guess that I will never go back again.

I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve ordered the SAME thing every time. Today I order double my order of ceviche tostada and they gave me the size of one with one tostada. And when I ask for my other one, the waitress had the NERVE to say I was being rude and then talk back to me? Then they say I’ll take your order back and then give you another one. Why? so they can spit in it? Why couldn’t they just give me another one? I paid for 2! So TRUST me. They didn’t just lose one customer but ALL my friends that go there as well. They are so lucky I didn’t start a scene. Ridiculous.

Delicious — authentic — Mexican food — in a fast-​casual environment. I recommend the carnitas tacos. I visited on a Tuesday night and the place was busy. Lots of take-​out which implies that the local, repeat customers approve as well.

False advertising. Sign says 9 but I walked in at 8:30 and told they were closed. You either close at 9 or don’t. Rude! I will NOT come here again. I don’t support a business who advertises falsely much less who turns business away. Clearly they don’t care either.

No comprehensive review needed. Overall for the years that I have been going here they have made consistently good food at a reasonable price with decent service. Only recently have they gotten my order wrong (they forgot to remove the onions from my order) but since I was able to manage and I know they are normally good at paying attention to deal so I decided to give them 4 stars. It probably also didn’t help that when I placed my order the cashier didn’t seem disinterested in my order lol. Anyway they have almost all the amenities you’d expect from a decent restaurant. I still plan to go there in the near future.

The food is fairly decent. It is not the best, but good. They have a nice salsa bar with an array of yummy salsas. That is always a plus!!!

I like this place for many reasons, let start with parking plenty of it and once you’re inside non-​lunch hours it’s fast and easy. You walk up to the counter, order what you want and find a table. Whether you eat there or to-​go they are fast and the food is always hot and fresh and chips come with your order, I say this because some places charge. I tried the «al pastor» taco seasoned pork slowly cooked to perfection with all the trimmings, cilantro, onions and hot sauce. Yumm! Hubby ordered one of each, tongue, pork, steak he asked for all the trimmings on the side but said they were a delicious. I have pictures to give an idea of what to expect.

It’s good. Fast service. However, place is a little untidy.

By the way, the steak smelled funny at first. But BF said, it smelled normal to him. So idk.

I have been here many times in the past and would have given this place 4 stars for an absolutely delicious chicken quesadilla. However, last night, they got it WRONG. The outside of the quesadilla had questionable (maybe dark meat chicken?) When I got to the inside, I realized I had eaten about 4 bites of steak. I didn’t notice by taste because I had smothered it in guacamole. Here’s the fun part: my body is completely intolerant of red meat. Mammals make my intestines throw up their proverbial hands and say «Nope, nope, nope, nope, not gonna touch it, NOPE!» Anyway, as a result of this poisoning, I had to cancel Saturday plans and hang out at home.
They replaced it, but by the time I got my food, my friends were done eating and I was feeling sick (that was mental, as I knew what would happen within 24 hours.)
I’m not going to pretend that my review before this would not have been 4 stars. However, I have been completely unable to digest red meat for ten years, and not once has a restaurant messed up my meal and made me sick.
I’m not sure how they managed to mix steak and chicken. Maybe they were almost out of one thing and to lazy to wash the pan? Either way, my digestive system is angry. It would give them 1 star, but in the past, the food (when made properly to order) was quite delicious, so I am willing to average the experiences.

Was open at 9:00am and I was looking to eat.
A strip mall sort of place, order at the register and have a seat.
Limited breakfast choices… or endless… all depends on how you look at it. Seems they can put eggs in any dish and call it breakfast… very versatile lol.
I chose the super burrito w/​pastor meat.
Very very large burrito and very good.
Some previous reviewer indicated one must buy the chips, I got a complimentary basket when I ordered… salsa bar was looking and tasting good.
Service was great, dining room was clean, well appointed, and had pleasant music playing.

Every 2 weeks or so we come to eat here for lunch. I’ve had pretty much everything on the menu and all I can say is that I’m not disappointed. From that tacos to the quesadillas I’ve enjoyed it all.
Today I deaided to get a burrito with lengua but I always ask them to wrap it up for me I don’t like to eat my burritos with a fork and knife. Call me primitive but that’s not my thing lol.
The fact that they give you chips to much on before the food comes out is a plus. And you can get as much salsa as you can handle.
Great for one or groups

My enchiladas were totally sub par. This place can’t even melt cheese, the food is rushed. There are a lot of things I dislike about this place. Nothing tastes fresh, the first silverware I picked up was dirty, the salad was wet, the meat had very little flavor.
In general all the food at or table lacked flavor. The place has very limited character. The foods not exactly inexpensive. I’m surprised this place gets more than the 2 stars it truly deserves. None of got sick so I am going to give it more than just the one star I want to give it.

I’m still a fan. Their chicken quesadilla is consistently good; its portion size is quite generous that I couldn’t finish it in one sitting. I tried my husband’s Calamares a la diabla… boy, it was super spicy!!!
I like that they play Spanish songs in the background as it adds to the ambiance… I feel like I’m actually in a taqueria in Mexico :)
