Wic Supplemental Food Program

I love LOURDES. She is the front main secretary as you enter the Wic office on the 2^nd floor. She is soooooo nice.

These people work long, hard hours at a thankless job to distribute food to the poor and needy. Much better than just food stamps, WIC teaches people who live on fixed incomes and come from backgrounds that provided them no nutritional education how to prepare healthy food from staples, skip the packaged food that comes from the supermarket, and after sowing you how to cook, sends you home with the food staples they are teaching people to cook with. I’ve been getting food for my daughter at the San Francisco offices for six months, and it may not always be pleasant, it’s crowded, there are unhappy, overworked employees you have to work with (though they’re usually really nice), but the service they provide for free Vastly outweighs any inconvenience, and it takes no more than an hour of my day once every 3 months. Not a bad trade-​off.

When I first came to this Wic the front desk lady who had an accent spoke broken english and was impatient + RUDE. Other then her the workers I met with for apts were polite an professional. As for the setting I dont like how it can get crowded where people children are breathing over your neck running around knocking into your stroller.
