Don’t eat the pasta!!! Only eat pizza at this location.
I got the chicken fettuccini Alfredo twice over the last few months and it made me totally sick. I had major diarrhea both times and was totally exhausted the next day to lack of fluids.
This place used to be awesome but I think they recycle their oil now, which doesn’t sit well with my body.
Don’t freaking eat here!!!

Mr. Pizza Man really hit the spot for a 1 AM pizza!
I ordered pickup on Unilocal and it was ready exactly when they said it would be. It was a little pricy for a small, but not much is open at that time of night, so I was OK with it. Actually, more than OK, because I found the pizza to be really tasty. I’m pretty picky about sauce and crust, and they were both good here. Sauce was not too sweet (could’ve used a little more sauce though) and the crust was nice and thick.
The pizza even passed my «next day» test — pretty good after a quick microwaving/​toaster ovening. Definitely recommend for a late night craving!

Christmas miracle… What do you do when you have:

The only place I was able to find that was actually opened and able to deliver pizza 6pm on Christmas night.
Delivery under 50 minutes and 9 happy bellies!

Ordered for a cheese pizza but received garlic bread due to delivery goof up. Had to wait 40 more minutes before got the actual delivery. The pizza was decent, although after the delivery fiasco had lost the appetite for having the pizza.

0 K. Ok, people. It’s no BJ’ s or Zachary’s, or even a Roundtable pizza. It is, however, very reasonably priced, excellent quality With the best attitude I’ve ever had in delivery staff. And so far, every time l’ve ever ordered (always delivered to my work when I’m to the point of passing out from low blood sugar) I have been a detailed and difficult delivery. My old Job as a hairstylist at Ulta the instructions were: deliver to the back of the store where the salon is located. They did it even When when you could tell it was awkward for the male delivery guy to be in Such an overwhelming female dominated store. Then last night I called in an order around 12:58 a.m. The instructions to reach me in my Sola salon suites was to ring 28 from the front directory by The door or to call any cell. Again, no bad altitude Food was hot and crispy. awesome layers of toppings .Did I mention this Was my first chance to eat all day and Mr. Pizza man delivered ! ! You can’t expect more than that at 1:25 in the morning ! I highly recomehd!

Resonably greasy, salty delicious pizza. The crust is crunchy and awsome. It hits the spot. z

Ordered a pizza at 1145pm. Pizza was hot and took no time at all to arrive to the hotel. Good toppings and friendly delivery person. I ordered online and it was very good experience. Would definitely do this again!

Me and my boyfriend usually come here to
Pickup late dinners but the food isn’t really that good, they just stay open late. Last night, my boyfriend came to pick up two slices of pizza and a garlic BREAD. We came home and opened the container that has these microwavable looking crinkled fries that does not even look or taste good and ended up wasting the whole thing.

Okay, gave it a 5, because there 3 rating is to low. Ordered delivery through Unilocal.Process was flawless. Pizza was delivered hot and tasty, Caesar salad was fresh and cold. I have had way worse take in pizza. I ordered the thin crust which was good but I personally like it crispy. The all meat pizza was loaded with toppings and it was delivered faster than promised. Will definitely order again when in town.

They’ve changed owners since my last review, I believe.
Pizza is still ok, not great. They are open late, that’s the main virtue.
To be honest, they are about par with every other pizza place in San Mateo. Like most pizza places in the area, they use a low grade cheese, rather than good mozzarella. This wouldn’t annoy me so much, except they offer «mozzarella» as an extra cost option. I’ve ordered it twice, and gotten their usual cheap cheese topping. Any one know a place that uses good cheese?
Delivery is hit or miss. I recommend picking up. They seem to upsize my pizza for free whenever I walk in. That’s nice.

Overpriced… not worth it. I’d rather eat pizza from Pizza Hut than here.
Sandwiches/​Burgers: Rather eat Jack in the box than here
Pasta: rather eat Top Ramen
but I do like their toasted ravioli! Cheese is better than the meat ones!

We ordered this on July 4^th late night after a family party — and I was thankful that they were open and delivered till so late ~ 1 – 2:00am. We ordered 3 calzones and 2 XL pizza’s: 1 BBQ Chicken & the other was a combo. The combo pizza was delicious, I didn’t try the BBQ Chicken as it was super cheesy and a bit oily. We also ordered garlic bread with cheese, and it had way too much cheese on top as well. For the price, I would expect somewhat better pizza quality, less cheese & oil for sure. Overall, it did the job and we’ll probably try it again!

Guys. You don’t even understand. I was starving after a very long flight and my travel companion and I found flyers for pizza in our hotel’s lobby. We found one for Mr. Pizza Man and it was open till 1:30 am and it was free delivery for orders $ 15 or more. We used the coupon on the flyer and got the biggest pizza I’ve ever seen in my life probably (18″) and a 2 liter for about 20 bucks. It took about 25 minutes to get it which was expected. Literally the greatest thing ever. That guy, that delivery man, is in fact, my favorite person ever for delivering that pizza to our hotel room at 1 in the morning. It’s not just the heroes that wear capes, guys.

Apparently when you order and ask that they deliver to a bar they basically force you to use a credit card, even though they ask if you would like them to call upon arival. I honestly love the pizza here but if they continue to have shitty ass customer service I won’t be ordering from here. It’s just sad because I’m out with friends, haven’t had a lick of alcohol and we are all hungry and having a good time. Guess we’re just not gonna eat. I’m only rating 1 star because this won’t let me post without rating.

Ordered online to pick up, when I got there the lady at the register tried to overcharge me, think she is the owner or so, because she looks really rude. Even when I showed the email confirmation they sent me, she insisted on overcharge me. I’m sorry but I can’t stand this kind of practices. She lost way more than what she where trying to get today. I was a regular customer and never paid attention on that, so I’m guessing now how many times they did overcharged me before.

Hey come on guys, this place isn’t so bad!
The pepperoni pizza at this place is pretty good. Crispy pepperoni, warm melted cheese, and just the right amount of thickness in the pie. Served on a red/​white clean paper plate. What else can you ask for?
The place is usually empty during the day, and has a few customers venturing in from nearby bars at night.
The menu is also pretty big, with others like pasta and I think salad? Maybe will try it some time.
The price is pretty cheap as well, and the waitstaff seems to be friendly.
Overall a good place to stop by whenever you’re looking for pizza, They also do delivery I think.

Its Mr Pizza Man. They have stuff. Its open late. They deliver. Its affordable. Gotcha. But THIS specific Mr Pizza Man seems like they actually care about what they put out. Like I said, its pizza man, BUT its prepared nicely, cooked correctly and tastes a bit better than the other MPM’s I’ve ordered from over the years.
What puts them over the top for me is the customer service. Granted, I order from them about once a week and always tip the drivers well so they may remember me, but they are ALWAYS friendly and helpful if something is wrong. Once, the driver went to the store and got me a colder 2 liter when he realized the one he had delivered was warm. Once, when trying to get a refund for a missing topping, I was refunded AND given a replacement pizza and soda and delivery free just to be nice. These guys are awesome!

Friends and I came here for our Downtown Pizza Chow Down to check out all the downtown pizza places in San Mateo.
This was our third stop and was rated the worst. We ordered some slices around 2pm and well… I don’t know how long they were sitting there, but they were pretty gross. Very dry. Toppings were disappointing. Some of us didn’t even finish our slices.
Our group rated it a 3 – 4 overall. I gotta come back here some time and get a fresh pizza to give them a second chance.

I ordered a pizza from this place and its very delicious, but the reason why im giving 2 stars its because i ordered delivery, and the driver was very rude, he had an upset face and I dont know why, my adress is a little confuse because the nunber and the name of the street is located at garage but i put on my order instructions that when they are there call me by phone and they did it but when they have like 20 or 25 mins late!
My delivery was supposted to be there at 7:05 and They call me at 7:45 WTF? And plus of that the driver rude?

BEST PIZZA after a night of drinking. If you make it back home from the downtown bars before or around 1am– do not hesitate, make sure you order a pizza from here! They will deliver after closing as long as you place the order by 1:30a.
Verrrrrry reasonably priced with big portions. Pizza is still good even the day after, not like other pizza places that is disgusting the day after because it’s dry.
Next time I’m in the Bay and in San Mateo, I will definitely order here again.

Mr. Pizza Man is THE after bar hopping destination for anyone in Downtown SM. Their pizzas ALWAYS hit the spot!!! Plus you can get pizza and bring it to MacGoverns!
If you are buying by the slice: Make sure the «pizza has friends» as in, dont ever buy the last slice because who knows how long its been there. Usually they have a pizza being made to replace it so just wait a little longer.
