After leaving the Halloween Store with my son, he asked for a snack. We stop by hot dog on the stick. The wide open stand is a complete mess, trash everywhere. But of course the server is playing on his iPhone. Never going back! Oh yeah his uniform was dirty grey like the floors.

I really used to love this place and remembered eating here when I was a kid, however, everything has gone downhill and the food is just not good. Since there aren’t too many options in the Hillsdale food court, I always seem to gravitate toward Hot Dog on a Stick, but the past three times I’ve been there, the food was inedible; the fries were overly seasoned(possibly a new thing?) and the lemonade is always too sweet. I’ve asked them to «go light on the seasoning» and«one pump of the sweetener» but they always seem to forget. Also, the prices are just ridiculous for the amount of food you’re getting!

Why are corn dogs such a hard thing to find these days? Yes I crave these things that I could get in high school so regularly. Do they still dress the girls in those crazy 60’s outfits here? There was just one person working here and they seemed to be moderately dressed, but still friendly. Got two sticks to go and they hit the spot. You have to do it straight out of the fryer or the half life of the dogs hit’s like every minute.

I have always have had a great experience at Hot Dog on a Stick… great classic food, awesome service, and the uniforms never get old. I wanted to praise one employee imparticular, Bryan, at the Hillsdale Mall location. He is always enthusiastic and positive… always makes my day:)

The service here is great! A guy at the register named John was really nice and suggested the New York dog. He also let me sample lemonade while I waited for my meal. :)

Fries were completely bland, tasteless, & gross Employees would rather socialize than get your food ready, until you start staring at them

came here @ 8:30pm; mall closes at 9pm. i was told that they were closed. when asked why so early the cashier tried to explain something about less than $ 60 in sales… no *hit — you’re turning customers away 30 mins before closing time! so… be prepared to not be served if it’s close to closing time :(

Sometimes you just want a hotdog on a stick. The jumbo hot dog is hand-dipped and fried to order. Tastes just like the ones you get at carnivals. Not cheap, though. One hot dog on a stick is $ 2.75. The lemonade is pretty decent considering it’s from a food court.

in need of a small bite! corndogs and cheese-on-a-sticks are the easiest and quickest solution to a rumbly stomach from the money you’ve just spent. as much as i come here when i can’t decide what i’m in the mood for(grease, grease, or more grease), i had to take it down a few stars for the overly crisp batter. i don’t appreciate the burning flavor… i would much rather wait for a fully cooked, golden, fried hot dog or cheese.

One word: UNSANITARY. And no I’m not a hater BUT… This is THEWORST Hot Dog On A Stick I’ve ever been to because the girls are ALWAYS eating WHILETHEY’REWORKING. Literally. To the point where it’s turned me off from eating there ever again. They’ll dip their fries in ketchup and pop it into their mouth WITHTHEIRHANDS, ANDLICKTHEM. NOGLOVES. And then they’ll continue to work in between eating. They’ll dip the hot dog into the batter, fry them and serve them up like nothing ever happened. I hope none of those eating girls are managers, but they’re always working there everytime I’m at Hillsdale and I’m pretty sure that a manager that had any sense would see them and tell them how unprofessional that is.

classic! i had my doubts at first, but my hubbie grew up with hot dog on a stick and convinced me to try it. delicious! the cheese on a stick is… interesting, but quite yummy and worth trying. they have other items on the menu as well, but the original corn dogs and lemonade that made them famous are the best.

I don’t know anyone else in the world who likes Hot Dog on a Stick, except me. I do love me the cheese on a stick. Yum. FRIEDCHEESE? YESPLEASE! The lemonades are awesome. I love just buying a giant one and drinking it all while walking around the mall. I think they have my favorite lemonade.

Are you a dirty old man? I couldn’t think of a better place for creepy weirdos to watch little girls make lemonade in a less than tasteful manner, am I the only one that notices this? Pedophilia aside, they do have some damn good lemonade. A bit pricey, but you do kinda get a show with it, if you’re into that sort of thing.

The only, I repeat the ONLY thing I ever get here is the cherry lemonaid with double cherry syrup. YUM. Plus, an extra point for the funny hats.

This place blows chunks and whoever made the poor employees wear those buttugly uniforms deserves to be shot. It is pretty freaking funny though. Every time I go to Hillsdale Mall, I pass by just to make myself feel better about my own life.
