Dr. Asai has been caring for my teeth since they were the BABY kind — suffice to say, both my teeth and I are all grown and permanent now.
Though I’ve moved away, I still go to Dr. Asai and his staff for check ups and more involved work.

Dr. Vincent Asai is nothing short of a fantastic dentist, with a matching team that makes every visit a pleasant one (truly!).

I love this man. Dr. Asai has been my dentist since I was 10 years old when he took over the practice from the previous dentist in this space. That was 28 years ago. When I moved out of state I continued to see him whenever I was in town, until he told me it would probably be best to find someone closer. When I moved back to San Mateo, I was thrilled to be able to have him back as my dentist. He treated my grandmother and father and still asks about my parents remembering details I forgotten I had shared.
Besides being an awesome human, he is a great dentist. No cavities until 18, for which I take full responsibility. He is a gentle man and that translates into how he performs his work. I don’t take well to pain killers and have never had pain under his care. The work he does lasts the test of time. I trust his judgement and know he always has my best interest in mind.

I’ve been going to Dr. Asai for 14 years. Once I had a tooth crack on a Saturday; I called him up, and he had me come in and fixed me up THAT DAY. Thoughtfully listens to the patient’s complaints. He referred me to an oral surgeon when he couldn’t find a crack in a tooth but I was complaining of pain. The oral surgeon had CT scan equipment that detected the microscopic hairline fracture, and they worked together to get me an implant. You cannot do better than Dr. Asai, and I am embarrassed I have not gone on here to give him his proper praise earlier.

I just got back from Dr. Asai’s office for a checkup and had a very pleasant experience. His staff is exceptionally friendly and professional. This is probably the first time I had a good experience at a dentist office. And yes I notice that I may be the first of all mankind to have written down the previous sentence.
He’s a down to earth person who will tell you what is wrong and tell you what you need. Thanks doc!

My friend who is a dental hygienist introduced me to Dr. Asai. My friend was spot-​on. Here is a story that highlights my trust for Dr Asai: I wanted to find a closer dentist to the city, so I went downtown. A long-​haired dentist in a Hawaiin shirt used his latest digital X-​ray machine and started calling out tooth after tooth. He than proclaimed, «12 cavities.» ($ 2,000) I panicked, but sought a second opinion from Dr Asai. After an exam, Dr Asai said, «Well I don’t see 12 cavities, I could give you one filling, if you want.» I took it. Way better than 12; and I’ve been driving down to San Mateo ever since. Unbelievable what some dentists will try and pull. Additionally, Dr Asai has a wonderful staff and a nice office with a tranquil garden.
