Colin K Au, DDS

I’ve been coming to Dr. Au for my routine cleaning and check-​ups for the past year and have been loving it. I was hopping around dentists for a little bit, until one dentist told me all of the sudden that I had 5 cavities that needed to be filled ASAP (?!). I came to Dr. Au for a second opinion, and he told me that realistically I had two cavities, but they didn’t need to be filled and should just be monitored. It is clear that he’s very trustworthy and doesn’t try to do work when it isn’t necessary.
I also appreciate that he’s genuinely friendly and doesn’t try to do that thing where dentists ask their patients a billion questions and there’s no way to answer it without mumbling and spitting everywhere. Just sayin’.

I’ve seriously got the tooth from hell and Dr. Au has been great dealing with it. Just a quick update since I know everyone is wondering what is going on with my tooth! Finished the crown prep and yesterday had some gum surgery so that I can finally get my crown put in. Gum surgery went smoothly and the stitches that Dr. Au put in look neat and I haven’t been in a lot of post-​op pain. Hopefully it’ll heal well and I’ll finally have my crown in a couple weeks.
