Good restaurant. Singapore noodles and fried rice are really good. Went there in the evening and they close at 8:30. Can’t believe it hrs are really short, can’t blame them the area is pretty dead after 9. Shrimp with candied pecan or walnut is good too. Waiters are friendly and according. But no dessert :/(

usually love this place, picked up a to go order of wonton soup. nice vegetables and broth but old tasting, tough chicken pieces. the wonton filling had un-chewable hard gristle pieces. very disappointed and won’t be going back for soup any time soon.

I have ordered takeout only from this small café and I’m giving three stars only because of the service not the food. The kung Po chicken is really good. The people that work there not so good. They did not give me an appetizer because I did not have the coupon even though I ordered $ 60 worth of food and the coupon for an appetizer was with an order of $ 35. The young man said you may come back another time and bring your coupon. I said where do I get the coupon and he said from the LA Times paper so I told him I don’t get the LA Times paper and he said oh well. Sometimes restaurants need to be generous in order to build customer loyalty clearly this man was not so I walked out thinking there won’t be a next time.

Their soups and the chicken salad wrap is delicious!!! Stop by here for lunch once in a while and they’re really quick to box everything up for to go orders. Love this Asian fusion restaurant

Really great Chinese food. Sweet & spicy chicken is amazing and beef & broccoli amazing, too. Also love honey walnut shrimp. Food is a little pricey but well worth it…

This review is based on the food and not dining in. My Aunt and cousin wanted to do Mother’s Day dinner but didn’t want to go out to a crowded restaurant either did my mom too so they all decided Chinese take out dinner at my aunt’s house. They ordered the food from here and I must say the food here was excellent and tasty. We got the Chloe shrimp, sweet & sour pork, orange chicken, beef broccoli, chicken chow mein, and salad. It was all just the right amount for the three families eating with left overs. I will have to say if I’m in the area or plan something in the area this will be the place to go.

We went to eat there for lunch. They have a new owner. The spoon and rice bowl were all dirty. I could see the crumbs on the rice bowl and when I pointed that out, the owner said she scooped rice and accidentally touched the bowl. What? Are you kidding me? I know how rice can turn so hard and won’t come off the bowl. It’s not a good excuse. The service was slow. We waited like 20 minutes to get our lunch. Their lunch portion is very small and does not taste good at all. I would not go back to that place again.

My mom has been bragging about this spot for about a year. Finally, she brought me this past Friday. This is a small little place, maybe about no more than 10 tables and lots of outdoor tables. Every table is complimented by a tiny flower arrangement and an oil candle. Right when we were seated, our awesomely sweet server took out drink order and placed fried won tons and sweet and sour as an appetizer. My mom loved the iced tea they make and I took a hot green tea since it was raining. The won tons were perfectly fried and the sweet n sour may have been the best I tasted! We ordered Mongolian Beef, Orange Zest Chicken and Combo LO Mein Noodles for 4 people with white and brown rice. The food was so amazing, so much flavor in each bite! The Mongolian Beef was prob my fav! The noodles themselves were kinda okay, I felt these were cooked separately and added to the combo veggies and meats. But it wasn’t so bad to remove a star. Lastly, the give chocolate dipped fortune cookies! Great finish to an flavorful dinner. End result: The service was great and the food amazing! I will jump on the wagon with my mom and come again for sure!

I get take out from here on a weekly basis. The chicken and vegetables is excellent. Good rice and egg roll and sauces. Friends I’ve taken have enjoyed as well. Mewa is a wonderful person and makes each of my visit a treat. Very sweet person. Highly recommended.

The best Chinese chicken salad! Especially w/the sesame dressing and plum sauce for wonton chips. It’s very rare to find good Chinese food. The customer service here is way better than the DT location.

When my husband found this place from Unilocal, have good review and pictures. We thought to give it try. Our favore dish is Orange Chicken. It’s a perfect taste and very crispy outside and they all have big chunks of chicken. We love it and we bought again on the next day. Definitely worth it the price. Hot sour soup is very devious too! 這家中餐很好吃!橘皮雞美味佳餚!

Americanized chinese food. Not the type of Chinese food I would normally eat but it was good for what it was and the dishes weren’t overly greasy or salty. The steamed fish is great! Service is friendly. They give you chocolate dipped fortune cookies at the end of your meal.

Chicken lettuce cups and wonton soup are two of our favorites. The food is great and the staff is even better. Miwa(sorry for the probable misspelling) is great. She is always so good to us. I personally think that staff is an important part to any dining experience. This is definitely Americanized Chinese food, which is right up my alley. Living in the sgv can be a little overwhelming when it comes to Asian restaurant choices.

I live in San Marino and didn’t even know this place until my friend told me about. The foods are really good, more like American chinese taste. I love the Orange peel beef, dragon beef, chole shrimps all so good. Portions are decent and quality taste but price slightly high. An entrée can be around $ 15 upwards . Overall great place close by if I need food fast.

A relatively new restaurant on Huntington Drive, they advertise themselves as selling«contemporary chinese food», which I usually attribute to a more american tasting version of chinese dishes. New Moon fits into that same category, with«healthier”/less salty versions of many comfort chinese dishes. Overall, I enjoyed the food there, but I just couldn’t justify the pretty hefty prices of the dishes. Definitely somewhere for you to dine in for a business lunch or meeting and not somewhere for you to eat just for the food alone. The parking can be somewhat difficult because there is only a row of parking on Huntington drive, but I’ve always come at non-peak hours so I haven’t had too much difficulty so far.

Had a nice lunch here. Came in on a quiet hour of the day, and enjoyed a really delicious meal. It is definitely more contemporary Chinese cooking, but New Moon succeeded in cooking a great meal. I had the sweet and spicy chicken, and my party and I shared the beef with asparagus, hot and sour soup, and shrimp with candied glazed walnuts. All the meat was cooked incredibly well, and the seasoning was incredibly fresh and zesty. Will definitely be returning probably for a dinner here. Service was great and nice ambience in this San Marino location.

This place is a solid 4 star. I am back for the Hunan sole fish and the veggie stir fry. Fish — Lightly breaded with perfect amount of spicy. The veggie stir fry is truly delicious! The garlic flavoring reminds me of veggies I used to have when I was a kid in Indo. Simply savory. Yum! I can eat that all the time. Garlic makes everything yum! I tried the Chloe shrimp. If you are not a fan of sweet or even slightly sweet, then I don’t recommend this. It is good, don’t get me wrong. But I am a salty and savory type of gal. Jumbo egg rolls are good. Plenty of veggies inside. Very girthy.(Yes, food has girth, people!) Today I am getting their mabo tofu. I haven’t had that for a while. I’ll update and tell you how it is. Not all mabo tofu dishes are treated equally. Lol Oh and their claim on light and fresh… I agree. The food does taste fresh and the breaded items are not thick with batter. Thumbs up The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star is simply the price and no lunch specials. But ah well. Nom nom nom.

After quickly examining the Take-Out menu outside, we stepped into New Moon Restaurant and observed a couple happily munching on lunch at a table to our left. All other tables were empty. In front of us was a door to the kitchen. We waited for a minute. Nothing. I looked for a bell to ring to signal our entrance. None. We waited another couple minutes. Nothing. I glanced to the couple to the left for any clues: was New Moon open, was anyone around? Finally, and thankfully, a waitress came through the door from the kitchen to greet and seat us. From that inauspicious start, my opinion of New Moon rose quickly. Our server, Miwa, was very helpful in recommending dishes, explaining that certain of the names on the menu were the owner’s daughters, which suggested the dishes were quite special. Thereafter she was very present by offering to refill won-tons(which I gladly accepted), suggesting mustard or chili sauce to enhance the flavor, and keeping watch to make sure everything is tasting as it should. Everything my party had(Orange Chicken, Candied Walnuts atop mixed greens, Tofu with String Beans, Wontons, and Fortune Cookies) here tasted excellent, so rich and flavorful with a perfect use of sauce. All was also thoughtfully prepared with care taken to how a dish looks, not just how it tastes. I will definitely be back. The prices are reasonable given this is not Panda Express, it’s luxury cuisine.

I am really impressed with their contemporary Chinese cuisine. They have four locations, but I’ve only been to this one in San Marino. I’d like to check out the DTLA one soon. Super clean and an excellent place to have family-style portions. I love their shrimp in lobster sauce, Winter Melon(seasonal) soup, appetizer platter provides a good variety of most of their appetizers. A plate with tastings of chicken pot stickers, Jumbo New York-Style Egg Roll, Shrimp Rangoons, Chicken Shiu Mai, Grilled Shrimp, and Paper Wrapped Chicken Barbeque Pork Spare Ribs. The calamari is extremely delicious. Large and lightly breaded, the seasoning is perfect and it is the best calamari I’ve ever had. I’ve also tried Wally’s grilled shrimp, which was moist and very tasty. For dessert, they have these incredible little chocolate dipped fortune cookies. I’m dying about the last fortune I got. Couldn’t be any more true!!: «You will soon be involved in many gatherings and parties.» Yep. Party on Wayne!
