The most delicious vegetarian Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. The crispy chicken nuggets with basil was incredible. The orange chicken was delicious! And the salt & pepper fried tofu was on point!

We were excited to celebrate DH’s birthday with vegetarian dim sum as that’s virtually unheard of. We got here before 11:30 on a Saturday, it wasn’t busy at all. The food and service left a lot to be desired. We were a party of 4 and they stuck us in a small table on the side wall. I am petite, but hit the corner of the table trying to get in; when DH asked if we could move to one of the bigger tables they turned us down and pulled out more table support making the table slightly bigger, but very annoying to dine or maneuver. There were at least 3 big round tables they could have given us that weren’t occupied the entire time we were there. We ordered 8 dim sum and 4 lunch dishes. I didn’t enjoy most of the food, but it’s possible my taste buds were off, so I may give this place another chance. DH thought the food was ok. Bottom line, don’t be stingy with your customers when it doesn’t cost you extra bc it will cost you repeat business. We spent close to $ 90 on a meatless lunch and dined in agony.

Amazing selection of food. 95% vegan. What isn’t vegan can be altered to be vegan. They have great dim sum. The waitresses are nice for the most part, but their customer service could be improved esp over the phone.

When I lived closer I use to come all the time but haven’t been for a few months until last night. I came at 8:20 on a Saturday when they close at 9:30. The ambiance was nice and peaceful with no one else in the restaurant. I was deciding on what dim sum to get after staring at the dim sum menu they propped on the table. After about 10 minutes, a server came over and told me they no longer served dim sum at night and they ran out and to come in the morning. Of course I was disappointed because I was looking forward to the dim sum. After staring at the menu it says«served all day.» So I told my boyfriend to speak to another server because the menu says served all day so how can they say they only serve in the morning? To her surprise, he spoke fluent Mandarin even though he looks like he doesn’t speak Mandarin at all. She apologized and told him that they only say no dim sum at night because it takes longer to steam. We ordered our dim sum and it only took 10 minutes until it came out. Seriously? Point of my rant: They serve amazing food, with amazing ambiance, with amazing prices. However they don’t have the best service. What if my boyfriend didn’t speak Mandarin? They probably lie often to others that don’t speak Mandarin. So my advice for you, if they deny you dim sum at night because they«ran out,» tell them you understand it takes longer to steam and you’re willing to wait the 10 minutes, they don’t have to lie about it.

OMGOMGOMG I love this place, I wish I lived closer. The service was fantastic and attentive and the best! The food was amazing. Being a vegetarian I am always excited when restaurants are vegetarian. The bf is a meat eater and even he was impressed with the fake meat options in many of the foods. We wanted to try a bunch of things… The spring rolls are an always do. Get them!!! My mouth is watering right now thinking about them. Pan fried turnip cakes were delicious. We did them with spicy sauce and the sweet and sour. I loved the vegetable bun, he liked the«pork» bun more though, but both were good. I would eat like three orders of vegetable bun… so delicious. Bf liked the pork sui mai but they weren’t my favorite. I like vegetarian things without fake meat trying to taste like real meat, usually. They weren’t bad, just not the texture I wanted. BBQ pork pastries were pretty delicious. I hated the shrimp har gow but I hate the taste of fish and fishy things so that makes sense. I tried one but I would not try them again. The bf ate the rest of them and said they were ok.

Tasty, healthy and reasonably priced. Their menu is massive, a little overwhelming even, but easy to find something you wanna try. Lots of different options. Dim sum menu is small so takes a couple minutes as everything is freshly made. We got Chinese Health Herb Soup, broccoli with white nut, fungus and Lilly flower, spinach how, steamed red bean bun and baked taro pastries. Soup, broccoli & taro pastries were interesting and different. Everything was tasty

This place is a definite new favorite! Service was really nice and helpful. Food was just as amazing, i got pan fried wontons and chow fun… along with other stuff. Wontons were a definite favorite, fresh and tasty. Chow fun with«beef» was also good. I really enjoyed how they used different ingredients to imitate meat. In one of the dishes mushrooms were fried to imitate chicken! Really fun and creative dishes, will be coming back!

I’m over this place! Been here a couple of times and the service has been bad but this last time was the cherry on top. Arrived and got seated all the way to the back(not busy) we only got hot tea. half an hour passed and we didn’t even get soup. I told the server we were ready to order and she said was«yeah yeah»…she left and assisted other customers. we waited 5 more minutes and decided to leave. NEVER again will we go back. it was a ridiculous experience

So my friend brought me here cause he knows I just wanted to eat vegetarian food. Being part Chinese, coming from a Chinese Chef’s daughter, I am extremely picky with Chinese food, besides I eat Chinese food way too much… so, I was like Chinese food again?!? But, I caved in and said sure since I’m in Cali where there’s so many goodies! I only tried a few of their dishes, which picky people like myself would think that’s good enough to know if it’s good or not, and my review is a YES, this place does serve yummy Chinese Vegan food!!!

This review is for the vegetarian dim sum only. As a non-vegetarian, I can say that the meal was quite good, and even the bbq«pork» bun and siu mai pretty spot on with its flavor. The dim sum menu has a fairly good selection range of all the classic basic hits that you would try to get at any regular dim sum joint. The downside, I would say, is that since this is a small restaurant, and the vegetarian dim sum menu only a small part of what the restaurant offers, you don’t get the hot-piping freshness that you do at dim sum joints when they’re at peak turnover. Things such as the turnip cake just have that slight, «been sitting around» kind of feel to it. The dim sum items here are definitely more expensive than the many other places I’ve been to in the area, but it is filling. I dined with a friend and we couldn’t finish the 5 dishes we ordered. My friend and I arrived right when the restaurant was supposed to be open, but ended up waiting outside for 10 – 15 minutes before they let people in(so after their posted opening hours). The service was fair — amiable, and eager to get you what you ask for, but you may need to ask a couple of times, and they’d occasionally mix up table orders but rectify them quickly. The two waitresses, however, exactly shy about having a not-terribly subtle argument(in Chinese) between the two of them practically in front of customers. Perhaps they didn’t think that some customers might be able to understand what they were arguing about.

Excellent food for vegans and vegetarians. Even really good for meat eaters who like fake meats and veggies. The veggie duck tastes very similar to real duck with the hassle of bones and grease. There’s so much on the menu to go back to multiple times. Needs a vegetable section for chinese broccoli and bok choy.

I should have read the reviews more in depth before I went. I figured Chinese vegetarian, how difficult could this be to decide what I want to eat? Like I wrote earlier, I set out in the beginning of my day to come here. I exercised at Planet Fitness around the corner and then went shopping and took a bus ride over there. I was only planning for a lunch special since those are fairly simple for non complex Chinese food eaters. When I got there I found out it was a holiday today. Chinese New Year and that the lunch specials didn’t apply. Now I was left with having to decide what to get, plus it was getting crowded in there. I got the Kung Pao chicken with brown rice and fried tofu with special soy sauce. I liked the chicken dish, but the fried tofu was mushy and non desirable looking and tasting. I brought it home and I have both dishes on my countertops right now. Ill probably eat the Kung Pao chicken before I go and work out tonight but the fried tofu I may need to tweek the recipe a bit. Ill just use some of my spices I got from Big Lots earlier and see what I can do. If nothing can be done to offset the taste of plain tasting tofu, ill just throw it away. My stray cats really aren’t into tofu or any fake meats ive noticed. I will be back to try their other dishes because I like how the other dishes look on Unilocal. That doesn’t mean anything but it does help bring people easily fooled by advertisement back with very little questioning.

Vegetarian dim sum items are available throughout the day. Lunch Special is from 11 am — 4 pm daily, except holiday. Food overall deserves a 3.5 Star. Service was cool. The waitress Grace was always friendly, while the other waitress Sandy was rushy at first, but as I talked and got to know her more, she warmed up and became very helpful & friendly. So all was good! 1) Pork Siu Mai — bland and dry, no good.(F). 2) Herb & Bean Curd Roll — a little bland, but was chewy.(B+). 3) Steamed B.B.Q. Pork Bun — was over steamed so the bun was a little wet and soggy, however, the inside vegetarian meat was decent.(B). 4) Szechuan Style Bean Curd — the sauce was salty and lacked some sweetness.(B-). 5) Sweet & Sour Veggie Pork — the sweet & sour sauce was a little bit too sour, so it overpowered the whole dish. However, the pork alone was crispy and good.(B+). 6) Veggie Fish with Hot Bean Sauce — the sauce was a little salty. The fish fillets were fine.(B+). 7) Cabbage Soup — complimentary but was bland, no good.(C-). I probably will come back to try the Deep Fry Bread and the Almond Milk Tea Puff Pasty, which takes 25 minutes to make. To avoid the wait, remember to order 25 minutes in advance if you are interested. Parking is small and limited. Credit Cards are accepted with $ 20 minimum purchase.

A nice place to have dinner if you want to get out of this meat consuming insanity for a bit. To be honest I’ve tried several vegetarian restaurants. The reason for me going is to eat healthier and it’s fun to have the exact same dish but the meat it replaced with«fake meat» or tofu based ingredients. If you don’t know it, it taste pretty much the same. I usually order something that does have a lot of meat in the dish, which means a lot of substitutes. But I was a little disappointed for the sweet and sour chicken dish. They just replaced the chicken with mushrooms instead of meat imitation tofu. Other than that we ordered vegetarian Shumai and that was HORRIBLE.

I’ve eaten here before my Unilocal days, and whenever I’m feeling the vegan kick, I like coming here. Ordered to go items for dinner. When I got home, I’ve placed these dishes up on the altar for Goddess Kwan Yin(Protector of Moms and Children) for prayer of Mom’s continued speedy neck surgery recovery and of course, to bless our family with health and prosperity for the upcoming 2016 Chinese New Year. The dishes I got: Comes with a choice of either rice or brown rice, I chose the latter. 1. Veggie Kidney with Basil $ 9.95 — A MUSTGET!!! It has a chewy, crunchy texture to it, and when sautéed with basil leaves and soy sauce, super yummy!!! Whenever Mom makes this dish for Kwan Yin offerings, this is the plate I always attack first after we finish praying to Kwan Yin, heheh! 2. Crispy(Faux) Duck $ 13.95 — beancurd wrapped around faux duck meat. It’s crispy and tender, and goes best with the plum sauce that comes along with it. It’s salty enough that the hoisin sauce(which is also included), you don’t need it. 3. Three Cups Tofu Chicken $ 10.95 —(Mushroom and Tofu): A lil on the sweet side, but pair this with rice and it’s delicious! It tastes similar to the one served at Moonlight Restaurant and Bar in Rosemead, except that theirs have real chicken and it’s hella spicy! I like mines sweet and mild, lol! Service is quick and friendly. The waitress with the short hair, who works there is a sweetie and speaks English well. Small, but organized, clean restuarant, located in the same plaza as Golden Deli and across from Jack in the Box. Again, this place is great and worth coming here again whenever I get my vegan kicks, or a great convenient to buy quick veggie dishes to put up on Kwan Yin’s altar when celebrating and honoring her, yay!

This place is all sorts of fantastic… I’d past by it for years and never went in. Yesterday was my first vegan dinner date, I haven’t had much experience in vegan cuisine. I looked at a few options on Unilocal and picked a winner. Thanks to Unilocal I got to eat a vegan all night… we even had leftovers for breakfast in the morning. #yelpisadatingsite

This is probably the best Chinese Vegetarian restaurant within 5 mile radius in the area. They provide great Lunch Specials and now serving BROWN rice. Dishes are average, kinda expected as what you can find at other Chinese vegetarian places.

The more time I spend in This area the more I am convinced this is the real china town. Apparently I am so white that when my wife and I sat down to eat, the server asked if I would like a fork instead… I was totally amused. We ordered a bunch of food. It was all vegetarian. We had some iteration of drunken noodles, pan fried flat noodles with bell peppers, chili, sprouts etc… It was delicious. We also tried some of the veggie bao and dim sum, very good would order it again, the only thing is it takes about 15 more minutes than everything else, not a huge deal at all but just a warning if you are in a hurry. The veggie sharks fin soup was also really good, warm, and delicious. Overall we had a really great experience here. They have a HUGE menu and it can be a bit overwhelming to pick something. But just take your time, order a few things that you all like and share amongst yourself from the center of the table. Very authentic. Very good.

Let me start by saying I’m no vegetarian. I am 80% carnivore 19.99999% omnivore and only .11111% vegetarian. I’ve eaten vegetarian food only when the family forces me to do so. I’ve never been a fan of it, until today. My gripes in the past about it, other than I miss the meat, was the flavoring. It has been my past experience that in order to make the meatless dishes more ‘flavorful’ more ‘edible’ sugar or msg(and lots of it) had to be added. I like my desserts sweet not my entrées or side dishes. None of the dishes I tried today were overly sweet. For brunch they have vegetarian dim sum which I think is super cool, I plan to return to try it some day(soon). Don’t let your past adventures with vegetarian food scare you away from this place! You might just like it like me! Course, I’m still a meat girl, but if I absolutely have to go vegetarian for a meal or so, this is my spot! Note: customer service is just average. It’s your typical Asian restaurant customer service. They are nice because they have to be. They do what they are asked to do and nothing that makes them extraordinary. I can accept such level of service from a restaurant I may go back to once in a while.
