You get what you pay for. This place is pricy, but it is also THE BEST frame store.
Excellent quality and selection. The museum glass is expensive, but it makes a huge difference in eliminating glare, and therefore increasing the visibility of the art.
The first time I walked in, I had bought some art to put in my new home. I had no idea how to select a frame, matting … anything. Andrea guided me through the entire process, had great suggestions, and let me know about lots of options.
I have gone back several times. They even took on a particularly difficult project — stabilizing a super large painting on this heavy board and adding a mount to the back.

I have been coming here for over twenty years! I have not picked out a frame, a mat, fillet, absolutely nothing. I just drop them off! When I am called to pick them up they are ALWAYS AMAZING! Nanci and Andrea talents go far beyond a simple frame. They have framed over 250 pictures for me. I’ve still never picked out a frame– had to say it again. I’ve NEVER taken one back to have it changed either. I would encourage you to let the girls do their magic, you won’t be disappointed. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. They have a cute artsy shop. It always a fun place to be in and just look around. There, you will see their talents that grace the walls that surround you. She does a new front window every month! Do visit them for your framing you will be pleased!

I have a framed picture in the bathroom of a shampoo ad from a 1912 magazine, and it had sustained some water damage on the mat. I know what you’re thinking, but the bathroom is the perfect place for it. I read the Unilocal reviews for New Creation and they were all so glowing. I had a great design session with Nancy. She totally «got» the period feel, and helped me pick out a new mat, plus suggested a backing to make the ad flatten out and be more secure in the frame. It all made perfect sense, and working with Nancy was an absolute pleasure.
Their services are in demand, so I had to wait a couple of weeks; no big deal, especially when I saw the finished result. The whole picture and frame looked, well, «sparkling.» I told Nancy it was too beautiful to hang in the bathroom, but Nancy said no, it belonged in the bathroom and it would just fit there. Of course she was right.
Nancy and crew are masters of creativity and technical excellence. 5 stars really does not do them justice.

I had many pieces worked on by Nancy and Andrea — framing, replacing glass, re-​matting, etc. — in a variety of media: paintings, photographs, lithographs, Japanese woodblock prints, etc. — and their work is always first-​rate and professional. They also have excellent taste in choosing materials. They are fast, reasonable, and very pleasant to deal with. If you’re looking for a framer in Pasadena, you can’t do better than New Creation.

Love these people. I’ve been going here for years — I’m a stitcher, and they really understand how to frame needlework. I have never seen anyone do as nice a job, and they excel at getting creative to bring something unique to the piece. Their prices are average for the industry — this stuff is just not low-​cost!

Needed to get something framed (DUH!) and tried several other places I wasn’t pleased with when I stumbled upon this gem in Pasadena! The crew there is wonderful and artistic and can truly read you and your art to make sure it’s perfect for you! I brought them a giant (6′ x 3′) poster that they turned into a wonderful work of art. You know that framing is always expensive, so don’t go elsewhere and just get sub-​par work… this place is wonderful

My goodness. My wife and I went into this shop and were completely impressed by the owner — Nancy. Her knowledge on frames were incredible and she had the patience to go through every little detail. We really didn’t mind the price because we knew we’re getting top notch service. This is what the service industry is all about!

I had an original koi fish painting that needed framing. My neighbor recommended this shop as she had work done in the past.
This was my first custom framing project and I didn’t know what to expect. I worked with Nancy who was absolutely amazing. She had so much enthusiasm, passion and creativity making the process exciting and enjoyable for me. Within 1 week, I was back again to have a custom mirror made to go above my couch. Once again, Nancy was professional and enthusiastic about the project, we worked together creating several other mirrors in various shapes, colors and textures to be placed on either side of the large piece.
Nancy is extremely professional, detail oriented and knowledgeable with an amazing creative vision. Not only will I continue going back with future projects, I have told many friends, family members and colleagues about this hidden gem.

I have had many items framed here in the past decade, including a lace doily I bought in Europe, an actual double sided movie poster, several «regular» posters, and many hand stitched embroidery pieces (including one that was stained and needed «creative» matting). Their aesthetic is always right on target, their service is impeccable, and they work very hard to show off whatever I bring them in the most flattering way possible. I aspire to one day bring them art worth more than the frame, though. ;P I cringe to think of trying to find a new place — especially for stretching my embroidery — when they decide to take a well-​earned retirement…

I was looking for somebody to cut a new mat for an exhisting frame.
I called several people and gave diamentions over the phone. Every one I called was over 20.00 and I would have to wait as long as a week to get my mat.
I walked in to New Creation and 20 minutes later I had a new mat!

Hands down, best Frame shop I have ever been to. I know what you are thinking, «this guy has an outward opinion about picture framing», well he does. Extremely friendly, and courteous, and for a fraction of the price of other frame stores. They even gave me very useful advice on what adhesives to use for framing my prints and how to protect against temperature fluctuation and moisture. The owner is also a very talented artist herself.

Fantastic workmanship. Very friendly, at a fair price. They even think, (gasp), outside the box! Helped recommend several different options to frame some posters I had purchased on a recent trip that were completely new to me.
