UPS Customer Center

I have had the most conscientious and consistent outstanding service from my UPS route driver Josh who has been assigned to my 92082 route of Valley Center for about 15 years?. He goes above and beyond to accommodate and troubleshoot issues that are not the local SM Facility's fault but the "Nationals" or the Evil Empire, Amazon's --- like not transmitting pickup orders with Driver Provided Labels or issuing duplicates etc. He always attempt to contact customer if there's an issue that he can assist with by knocking on door or ring bell and waiting. All my neighbors are great fans of his and his popularity is well deserved!

Also, speaking of Amazon issues, in recent years I've had the most courteous and effective assistance in troubleshooting and unsarling snafus regarding shipments, pickups etc by Esa (sp?) Julie and Gordon. Even though they are horribly busy at that location, they will take time to help me by patiently taking information and researching the problem well I'm on the phone or if they can't find the answer out, they call back or contact Josh on the road or whatever it takes to resolve the issue. I call them my A Team For something goes wrong you want them on your side!

This is the second time in less than a month that UPS failed to do their job… deliver packages. The first was my daughter’s only key fob to her car. She sent it to me next day air only to have them loose the package and place the tracking number on «hold for investigation» four days later it was delivered to the bushes in front of my house. I think the driver literally threw it from the street towards my house.
The most recent was three days ago. Notification on my door stating it needed to be signed. I signed the back. They place a second notification with a written note saying «In Person» I wrote on that note the following «People work either come back after 5 or on the weekend.» I received a third and final notice saying they were sending my package back. Really nice I think they are in the business of returning packages but not really delivering packages. This company sucks and it’s customer service is so bad you would probably do better with FedEx or UPSP but if you’d like your package not delivered or perhaps lost altogether then send it UPS.

This UPS hub is mediocre. It has taken a large amount of work on my part to have them deliver to my address and not some other address that is similar. Repeated phone calls and constant watching of tracking. Honestly, if your job is to deliver and read the address correctly, then why is it so hard?
It’s not like this is favor on your way home, to drop a package off and oh by the way– you don’t know where the address is-it’s the sole business model of the UPS company-​to deliver packages.
I get frequent deliveries too.
When you call this hub, sometimes they are rude. Never know what you get. Key word– Training. Frustrated is how I feel.

WORST WORST WORST UPS ever. They NEVER deliver my package to the right address, and NO ONE helps me try to locate the package. They just ask if I’ve checked with my neighbors, and always say they’re gonna call me back to get it sorted out, but they never call me back. I can’t describe how much I loathe this establishment. I’ve never had so many problems with a UPS location before. Please please please educate your drivers!!!

This has been the worst experience dealing with this location. I have called UPS for the last 3 hours attempting to be able to pick up my package and NO ONE from this location has called me back as they were supposed to do hours ago. I wish I could give zero stars as I was hoping to get a call back BEFORE this location closes so I can retrieve my package hence the reason why I paid extra to receive it early! I am going to be on my way anyway and I will be filing a complaint with higher personnel tomorrow. Thanks for the timely call back UPS!

These guys do a horrible job. Let me explain.
In November and December, because of my job, I get a package every 3 days from UPS as well as Fed Ex, and sometimes the postal service. So, occasionally I get the note on my door when I’m not home, saying they’ll make a second attempt.
Well, I got one of those notes saying they made two attempts, and will try a third. Later that day, they showed up with a package. I asked about the one they tried to deliver. One driver said to the other driver, «do we have his other package?» He went in the back, and brought the package out to me. GREAT.
Well, not so great. I got a notice the next day, that they made their third attempt. I’m not sure why, when I get that many packages, they can’t resend it with the other packages.
Then I get a notice that I have to pick it up, and I have until Dec 11^th, and AFTER that date, they’ll send it back to the original sender.
I go there on December 11^th, early in the morning, only to be told it has been sent back to the sender. WHY? It says «after» Dec 11^th, not ON december 11^th.
What a bunch of idiots that don’t know how to do their jobs.
I have all the sympathy in the world for how busy they must be this time of the year, but this was poor service all the way around.

3.5 stars for me…
With my recent move, the shipment was sent to the old address. Somehow they knew we had moved and were searching for our new place. So they held onto the box and didn’t just leave at the old place. That was helpful.
Their distribution center is a bit out of the way for me, not so say that it’s out of the way for everyone. Their competition is down the street also in an industrial area, but closer to home.
Anyway, easy enough to find. A small door which is marked «customer service» on the corner of the building. Once inside a small area to do business in with a counter big enough to drop off boxes and parcels.
Customer service was personable, friendly and helpful. Found my package quick and efficiently.

I’ve had three occasions within a couple months where my package cannot be delivered because a different delivery driver was on duty and he didn’t know the gate code and I’ve had to go to San Marcos myself to pick up the packages. If I was allowed the correct gate code as a resident, I’d easily have been able to inform them for future reference, but that was not the case. So it was essentially on them to speak directly to the complex management to update their codes.
However, this third time around, I gave them a call and asked if the package could just be delivered again. This time they actually came to my door, quite late in the evening (but on the same day that it was suppose to be delivered), and made the effort to get into the gate to deliver me my package. I think that made up for the previous times. And I believe that’s great customer service. So thank you guys for doing that. I hope you can find the correct codes to prevent this from happening to other customers packages.

Unlike UPS in LA and Orange Country, UPS deliverymen in North San Diego country make little to no effort to actually deliver your package. The best you might get is a light knock at the door before they flee, even if you are home the entire day. Don’t expect a note or any attempts at contact (phone, email, mailbox) to the recipient. The customer service center has twice been of little to no help in a speedy resolution. This is the second disappointment in 4 months.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but it took pulling teeth the day before to let me even pick up this package. (which was addressed to me, but sent to my store. And I’m the owner) they wanted me to have a letter stating I had permission to pick up my own package.
But I showed the guy my ID & business card and it was no hassle at all. Forget calling. That was a joke. Lots of transfers. And repeated story telling. All so they wouldn’t send my package back. Or charge me $ 75 all because it was delayed and wasn’t delivered when promised because of the weather. You think when God messes with delivery they would want to work with you instead of hassling you and trying to send package back.
It’s called customer service.

Great service by ups.
We missed parcel, signature was required, at 1:25pm, found out about it at 2:30 pm.
Called UPS CUSTOMER SERVICE at around 3pm, explained that we needed parcel ASAP. Lady on the phone was really nice and said that I will be able to pick up parcel today at this location.
She said that somebody will call me, but nobody did, I just checked tracking number and it said that parcel is ready for pick up. GREAT SERVICE!
P. s. On this location security person was very dedicated to his job. :)

The two girls in there are magicians! No one else could find my package or even make the mess bearable. Voila! A few minutes later… mystery unraveled! ! I’ve been back to get things packed and shipped, always the girls are upbeat and happy. Guided me through my first internatonal shipment.

Do not EVER have your packages held here for pickup. I try not to lose my cool on customer service people (because of course it is not their fault, and I know that really gets me nowhere), but man, this place… not cool.
I came in at 8:15a.m. to pick up my package that was being held there. I was told the «dispatcher is going to get it from the truck». 40 Minutes later, and after multiple check-in’s from me, I am told my package cannot be located.
Give me accurate information from the start. If the package is LOST, just TELL me so I know what I’m dealing with. Don’t keep me hanging for 40 mins based on some inaccurate information that my package is «on the truck».
So now I’m late for work after hustling to get to UPS and have people thinking I’m some mean dragon lady because I’m so frustrated. I still don’t know where my package is… it is lost in the brown vortex of bad customer service and lost packages.
Also note, the customer center entrance is a right turn off of Bingham Drive on Armorlite Drive. There is a parking lot for customers. Don’t be like me and park on Bingham Drive. It’s a long walk from there.

Absolltely horrible!
I paid extra for a Saturday delivery (birthday flowers and gift from ProFlowers). The package arrived in San Marcos, CA Friday around 3, and for some reason wasn’t scheduled to be delivered to Escondido, CA until Monday. I called ProFlowers, and together we called UPS. The agent was rude and unhelpful. When we asked to speak to a supervisor he just hung up on us. Before hanging up though, he told me that «after the package was delivered that I needed to call back for a refund».
The package has been delivered (2 days AFTER her bday) and today I called back for a delivery. The first agent told me that they need ProFlowers to call with me, for me to call them and call back. No way! I waited over 5 mins to get connected to Customer Service at UPS. I just wanted a refund. Nope. They need to hear it from ProFlowers. So I asked them to call ProFlowers. She was unable to call out. I asked to not be disconnected and speak to her Supervisor –who could call out.
The Supervisor said that he could make calls out, but could not call ProFlowers because they would need info from me. All that I had given them was the order number and I could provide that to the Supervisor. He said no. Okay, so I asked to speak to his Supervisor. This was ridiculous and terrible customer service. He informed me that his Supervisor was gone. He was the absolute last person in the Asia Pacific area that I could speak to. AND that he was unable to connect me to his Supervisor’s voicemail.
I can’t believe how poor the UPS customer service is. I will go out of my way to never use UPS again.

Not only one of their employees called home at 10pm indicating they couldn’t find our home address (new development so not too surprised there) but I clearly indicating I would call back in a week plus to arrange a pick up date. Now I called to hear their returned the shipment since nobody claimed it within 5 days. So here is the problem (i) if that’s indeed their policy they have an employee training issue and (ii) would it occur to them to give us a phone call first to let us know? What happened to the meaning of customer service???

«We pack it. We ship it. We guarantee it.» But if you take us up on that guarantee we will punish you! I’ve had a LOT of packages shipped to my house over the last 20 years, mostly by UPS. LOTS! Probably an average of several a week. Unfortunately after 20 years a package, with a value of a little more than $ 100 (gun parts) was not on my porch when I got home. We made a claim and received a replacement. But ever since that incident UPS will not leave a package on my porch. I have to sign for everything. I either have to be home (I work) or pick it up, or sign the little piece of paper that waives any rights if for some reason the package isn’t there when I get home. So I don’t get prompt shipments anymore, and the driver has carte blanch if he were to decide he wanted to keep my package (Although I think the UPS guys are all very honest– but it could happen. Hey– SOMEbody thought the return address of my gun parts seemed interesting… just sayin’). Anyway– the convenience of having items shipped to my home has greatly diminished. So to the greatest extent possible now I’m trying to have shipments come some other way than UPS. It’s too bad because over the years I’m sure the profit on shipments to my house outweigh the cost of the lost package, but apparently UPS doesn’t agree. It’s apparently more cost effective for them to make 2 trips to my house per package. I suppose that’s their prerogative, and it’s mine to select another shipping company.

Can’t say much about UPS. I mean there is not too many options when sending packages.
Occasionally I have to stop in to send out an auto part and it’s right down the street from my shop. The employees just seem like they hate their job and don’t want to be bothered. Service is horrible!
My packages do get to their destination, so I guess that’s a positive note. Maybe other UPS locations offer better service.

eww. me thinks not. Saturday staff struggles to handle one international shipment. took 30 minutes and then they called me 20 minutes AFTER i left the store with my receipt. didn’t bother to leave a message, and they don’t answer the phone when you call back. one word solution: FEDEX

Most folks will not stop in to an actual UPS hub or shipment center, and when they do, it is probably for the wrong reasons. But I have been in here many times over the years and the staff is always very helpful, even when I have made a glaring error.
