Growing up around authentic Mexican food most of my life I can say this takes the cake. Being so far away from the border I was skeptical on how good a Mexican restaurant would taste, and Don Lorenzo hit the spot. From the great service to the great food this is definitely a place you have to try.

After seeing all the positive reviews here I was kind of disappointed to see beans that looked like they were straight from a can and half hearted carne guisada. It seems like the place is more focused on catering to large groups quickly than making authentic mexican food.
Pricing was par with most other mexican joints though, and their soups looked amazing.
If you’re looking for a little more authenticity Los Vega is the way to go, it’s right down the street.

They have a really good breakfast tacos here and the Migas plate is great as well (add jalapeños) ! The salsa is spicey and flavorful too. You can get a good bowl of menudo and caldo as well on the weekends, if you want either of these get there early.

Food really is amazing. I wish this place was open later on in the day.
The service was somewhat slow but it may have been because it was a little packed.
The prices are pretty decent comparatively too.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes Mexican food.
