I had a Chinese Chicken wrap and is was right on point. I took it to go. It was ready when I arrived and I didn’t have to wait.

Good coffee, yummy pastries, delish breakfast burritos. Great variety of teas, juices, coffee condiments. On top of all the yummy goodness, The red bow for me is the steamed ½&1/2; and, patios are definitely fury love friendly. Nautical Bean is inviting, staff is very friendly, atmosphere is very warm funky cool. You can’t beat the location and easy ample parking for a San Luis Obispo business.

I love nautical bean, it’s my all time favorite place to study in SLO. Plus their nutty bean blend is crazy good. Their food is also amazing, their staff is great, and the place always has the coolest art. I definitely recommend coming here

Atmosphere: Super cool vibe and a good amount of seating. Food: Overpriced. Salad was 8.50 for less than grocery store salad kit. Tasted was bland. Blended juice was incredibly sweet, chalky and artificial. Coffee also was very sweet and artificial tasting. Staff: The girl who served us was nice but not overly enthusiastic. The dude who also served us had the personality of a cinder block. I’d say he could be related to Ben Stein but I don’t think this kid even had enough excitement to be related. Conclusion: Waaaay better options in SLO.

Black and white mocha, carmel sutra and mexican mocha were great! Black and white mocha on the sweeter side! Ham croissant was delish and so was the california bagel! Would definitely come back! Must go!

Their drip coffee selection is great! And I LOVE the maple muffin. Unfortunately my last few experiences have been subpar. Sadly disappointed with the professionalism of the staff… I was there a half an hour before closing while studying, when the staff started cleaning and putting up chairs. I wasn’t bothered by it, until one staff member began loudly vacuuming around me. It was disruptive, and it made me feel uncomfortable, like they were anxiously awaiting for me to leave. Used to love coming here for the welcoming vibe, but it doesn’t feel as «cozy» as it used to.

This place actually confused me. It came off as a coffee place, especially since the name has bean coffee, but it was actually more a breakfast or a sandwich place than anything. They did serve coffees, but they were :-P mediocre coffees; I had to pump myself. They probably make the more heavier coffee behind the counter, but coffee should be made fresh. Wasn’t a big fan of that part. We just ordered coffee. There was a lot of people there, though. The rating is probably high, because people liked the ambience of the place. Yummy! Great coffee & fast service. Ordered the caramel sutra iced. Also had the blueberry scone which was heated & tasted soft and sweet. The flavor is amazing. There was a long line but service was fast and friendly. My order was to go but there is sitting inside and outside.

Always a favorite. Always prompt on service and with a smile. They do not mind special requests or complicated orders. Free wifi for those of us working/studying with our coffee. Even with a line to order. they can dish it out – quickly! Much quicker than either Starbucks or Black Horse. Comfy, cosy & clean atmosphere. Their food is also awesome!

I had the caramel sutra iced it was pretty good, it has the coffee taste with the hint of caramel flavor. It’s not too sweet, so it’s perfect. I also had the SLO cal sandwich and It was D-licious! it contains thousand island spread so if you like that, I’ll recommend this! The bread was crispy and the lettuce was fresh. Yummm!

The carmel sutra is just like it sounds, passion in your mouth — amaaaaazzzing. But now that it’s new years I’m cutting back on my indulgences and going for regular coffee. They have pretty good food here too. Try the kitchen. Sink burrito or the garlic chicken Flatbread my faves except the sprouts. For some reason they put spurts in everything which can be dangerous while pregnant or nursing. I like sitting out back it’s less crowded and quieter than the front and there is more shade ;)

More like 3.5 stars. Drinks — Caramel Sutra — light in the caramel, light in the coffee flavor, heavier in the latte 3⁄5 Vanilla Latte — light in the vanilla, but flavor overall was good 4⁄5 Food — Kitchen Sink — it was okay. Almost no texture because all of the inside ingredients were mush all-together 3⁄5 Croissant Sandwich — super buttery and great flavor. A definite must for breakfast here 5⁄5 Overall, the atmosphere is great with the cool local artwork and trendy décor. Would definitely stop by here and maybe try the sandwiches next time.

First off, this place is really a sandwich shop that happens to serve a little bit of mediocre coffee, and I feel that the name is deceiving. I really do not understand all of the 5 star reviews, so I want to give an honest review so people do not go here expecting amazing coffee(and leaving disappointed like we did!). My friends and I tried: — rainforest latte, which tasted like pure cinnamon and no espresso — mint mocha had literally no mint whatsoever and very weak espresso — cappuccino… was there even espresso or was it just frothed milk?

Thanks to other Unilocalers, we stopped by here at the very last minute before hoping on Hwy 1 to head to Hearst Castle. We purchased The Eggle($ 5.50), a medium iced Black & White Mocha($ 4), a medium iced Vanilla Latte($ 4), and a small Hot Chocolate. Our bill totaled $ 12.44 and we walked away happy. The Eggle was good — I only wish we ordered another one or two to take the Hearst Castle with us for lunch! The coffees were pretty good as well — maybe a 8 out of 10. My son gulped down his hot chocolate so I’m sure that was great. A year or two ago, we would not have been able to stay inside since they decorate with skulls and the like. My son used to be scared of those things. But now he’s fine and it adds to their eclectic atmosphere. If we head to SLO again, we’ll be back!

The ambiance is very nice. Very cute gated front porch that gives a «locals only/hole in the way/best kept secret» vibe. The inside is very homey with a dark edge. The workers were very friendly. I ended up getting a blended black and white mocha, it was DELICIOUS! Definitely going to be going back to try more of their drinks and also their food! It looks like they have a large, healthy selection for a coffee shop! It looked delicious too

Cute coffee place with a big menu! Loved the fluffy lemon poppy seed muffin and latte I ordered. Note: they ask if you’d like your muffin warmed because they are kept in a refrigerated case. It was great cold but might been even better warmed up.

I tried the iced caramel sutra and the pesto chicken flatbread. These were the necessities to fuel my drive from San Luis Obispo to San Diego! The employees were friendly and the ambiance was pretty neat. I liked checking out the art & skateboards hanging on the wall. The restrooms were relatively clean. The flatbread was decent — I’m on a huge pesto kick. But I have to be brutally honest… the coffee had a wicked artificial taste to it. I know the caramel sutra has syrups in it, but they taste way too artificial for me to want to try a second one. :(

They know how to make my Mocha and they have croissants = heart, they got me at croi. Kinda preppy, kinda crowded, kinda hipster, but good coffee, all that matters to me. Check out their microwave and art and flyers around the shop, definitely for the 80’s crowd. I have not tried their hippie food, so I can’t comment on that.
