Slo City Storage

We had reservations for a truck rental, but when we went in to get the truck the worker on duty (not sure if he was the manager or owner) told us we needed to be 25 and have a storage unit with him in order to rent a truck. We were very confused since we did get confirmation about our truck rental. He did not do anything to help us figure out what had went wrong with our reservation, but instead told us to just try somewhere else. We then called their customer service and they informed us that he was wrong and we only needed to be 21, and would just pay more on a deposit to compensate not having a storage unit. We then asked him if we could do that (our original reservation) he agreed at first but then quickly changed his mind and said, «you guys need to go somewhere else, I don’t trust you with my trucks.» We were shocked at what he had just said to us and left. We even had our deposit and insurance papers ready.
He was very rude to us from the beginning right when we walked into the store. When we tried asking questions he gave us one word answers that did not assist us in any way. He did nothing to help our situation, and obviously did not want our business.
I have never received such bad service and attitude from anyone, untill this worker. If you can rent from somewhere else I strongly suggest it.

We have had a 10×20 storage unit at this location (also know as «SLO City Storage») since April 2011. Our experience has been very good all along. Craig and Mike (the on-​site managers) were very helpful to us when we moved our stuff into the storage unit. They have a 16-​foot (?) truck that you get to use for one day for free (at least at that time) when we moved in, and they also have Penske trucks for rent. The storage complex is very clean and feels secure. You get a 10% discount on the monthly rent if you pay in blocks of 3 months or more. I just phone in my credit card payment every six months. Now we are vacating our unit, and they said no 30-​day notice is required, we can just vacate before our rent comes due again.
