We recently had Sears Home Services out for two repairs – a problem with a gas dryer and a problem with an old garage door opener. We had very good experiences both times. The repair people who came were friendly and professional. They explained what they proposed to do and how much it would cost. The work got done right for reasonable prices. They came when they said they would be there, and called first. I’ll call them first the next time I need an appliance repair. One minor negative: I made the second appointment online, and a couple of days before the appointment Sears central called to say that even though they had made the appointment, they didn’t actually have a technician who could come at that time, and we had to reschedule for several days later. It wasn’t an urgent repair so this wasn’t that big a deal to me, but under other circumstances it would have been very annoying.
