I am surprised this location has received such poor reviews. I have always been greeted and asked it I need help. I have never had anyone be rude or disrespectful if anything I have gone in with literally a bad hair day and been rude and received nothing but help. There are some members on the team more knowledgeable than others. Willow knows hair color and product, I always defer to her for my hair help. She probably knows more than hair but that is usually my main concern. I love his location, it is almost like visiting friends.

I typically order from Sally’s online, but sometimes I am forced to go to the actual store… because my coupon code doesn’t work(even though it was sent to me from Sally’s directly) or to get certain things they don’t have online. But… that’s beside the point. :-) The customer service at this location is more often then not — awful. Nearly every time I walk in they treat me like I am about to steal something, and I dread actually having to check out.(I am nearly fifty years old and nothing out of the ordinary… it’s not like I’m walking in the place with an oversized purse, oversized jacket that could hide an ak47 and a cutoff pair of nylons over my head) There are one or two ladies there that are very nice and very helpful. My most sincere thanks to those ladies! :-) It may be rather harsh, but those other people really need to be let go. Most days I’d drive to the AG location rather than take the chance of running into the ‘bad apples’ in the San Luis store.

Still gets 1 star for my bad service experiences, but just wanted to mention there’s another gem in the store other than Amy… Katelyn! What a sweetheart. I did feel my business was appreciated on my most recent visit, though it will likely still be my last. Amy and Katelyn were on the floor during that visit. Thanks girls!

I asked my 22 year old daughter to check out a price for some conditioner there. She walked out without buying a thing(unheard of for her) because: «they made me feel like I was bothering them». They blew it for her – I will also be going elsewhere.

I can find the bobbi pins that I like here. but I can also find them other places as well. I’ve been here at least half a dozen times and every time I have the strangest interactions with the employees. Just down right weird. Last time I tried to purchase bobbi pins I got to the counter and the lady asked if I had a Sally card. No, I don’t. Then half yelling/half incredulous she said, WELLHOWAREYOUGOINGTOPAYTHEN? Um… with a card.(Is it just me or is this an odd question… when you go to the grocery store do the check out clerks ask you how you’re going to pay like they’ve never seen a credit card before?) Then I hand her my card. I NEEDYOURID. No you don’t, it’s a debit card. NO I NEEDYOURID, YOUCAN’T BUYTHISWITHOUTANID. Jesus, it’s not alcohol, you don’t need to see my ID, it’s some bobbi pins, and you don’t need the ID with a debit card, because I have my pin number. OH, FINE. I just found this so odd. And it’s not the first time – every time I check out they seem genuinely confused by the credit vs. debit card. At every other store, I go in, present my items at check out, pay, and then leave. But here, it’s the damn inquisition every time I try to spend $ 4. There’s no need to be so difficult when someone is trying to spend $ 4 and get out, if I were using someone elses debit card I a) wouldn’t know the pin and b) would be spending more than $ 4.
