Music Motive

My son has been taking drum lessons here for a year and a half, and he loves it! His teacher, Wyatt, is kind, patient and lets him pick out the music that interests him. There are opportunities for him to perform individually every six months as well as with other kids in a band format.
So glad they also have programs in the schools!

I cannot say enough positive things about Music Motive. What a gem. We were incredibly lucky to have been guided here for our children’s music lessons. My kids have been studying with their instructors here for years. My youngest on violin and ukukele and eldest studies drums.
Their instructors are all talented working musicians who also have the rare and beautiful gift of being able to inspire and really teach these kids how to play. They are attuned to my kids and have figured out what learning style the kids need to grow quickly and really ‘get’ what it takes to be a musician. They are patient, professional, fun cool individuals, who we also love as people, not just teachers.
Stefanie and Steve are very invested in music education and the community. We love Music Motive!

A very helpful and knowledgeable staff compliment the wide selection of musical necessities at Music Motive. The owner Steve is always friendly and knows everything about the local music scene. Stephanie is always warm, friendly, and kind. Whenever I need a little zen in my life, music motive is where I head to.

Steve and Stefanie have created an incredible presence on the Central Coast. They are passionate about music, and giving kids the opportunity to thrive. They provide private lessons for kids and adults, they have a performance group of young kids who raise money for scholarships for people who can’t afford lessons. Best of all they are in 23 local schools teaching 40 classes throughout the Central Coast. I am very passionate about this music school and recommend it to parents and adults alike.
