The only problem with Papa Panchos is Inconsistent food. It changes from one day to the next. Sometimes the food is just way too over spiced. The Chili Colorado changes a lot but Overall if I get lucky the food is really good. I wish the menu had a little bit more to offer but they have the basics. Papa Panchos needs to try new things like«Real Carnitas on the weekends» maybe. They have some great potential but are held back by staying one step from a mall court eatery… Fresh Fresh Fresh!!! Pre made food is going to keep all those seats empty! You can tell when they make your food it’s way too fast! Really friendly establishment and there great at taking orders over the phone!!!

The employees were very nice at this place and the food come out fast(maybe too fast) like they already had it made in the back or something. I ordered a burrito/taco combo(both carne asada) and to me the meat was a little salty and the rice & beans were a little bland. Could have been a little better and a little more authentic Mexican food but what do you expect from a small restaurant in a bad location.

We eat at Papa Pancho’s quite a bit and I can honesty say I have nothing bad to say about them. They are always friendly and happy to see us! Their food is delicious and served with a smile! I would suggest this little restaurant to anyone who loves to eat Mexican food!

Sadly I avoided this place due to the 3 star rating. I’m kinda a star snob. So glad I was starving and my regular burger place was closed which forced me to stop in for burritos. Family ran, has all the normal Mexican food fare with pics and decent prices. For 2 regular chicken burritos it was a little over $ 14 with tax and the $ 1 fee to use a debit card. I didn’t see anything written letting customers know. Since I was the only customer my order was made right away. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Everything is prepared right in front of you. It’s an open kitchen area. There is a lot of seating and a TV in the corner. There is a board with the daily specials. The burrito was a decent size. Chicken was moist and the rice was fluffy with a good flavor. I really liked the salsa. The chips were too salty for my liking.

The people here are so nice and it’s come a long way in the last couple years but I recently came in craving Mexican food and I might as well have ordered a hair burrito… I was really sad about it but I’ll be back.

I try Pancho’s once every couple of years or so and I’m disappointed every time. I agree with everything all the 2 star reviews said. My main dislikes are 1. The chips, they are the kind you buy at Costco in the 10 lb mega bag. The same chips the sorry ass Oakland A’s use in they’re nachos. 2. The owner once charged me a dollar extra because i wanted some lettuce on top of my two dinner plates! $ 9.95 each. Lettuce I tell you! 3. Salsa bar, what salsa bar? 3 tubs consisting of giant whole jalapenos, chopped radishes that have been out way to long. Leave them whole and they will last for days. And lime wedges, no complaint there. I love lime on Mexican food. And finally, you never see Latino people eating there. I wonder why? It’s because they’re smart and know where to get REAL mexican food. BTW I’m white.

I had the chlie verde burrito. It was ok. It came with rice and beans. Fast service. Order at the counter, find a seat, go to counter to get food when it’s ready.

Was it horrible? Not at all. Was it special? Not at all. I’m pretty hard on my Mexican food restaurants because I’m so addicted but I would say for the same price or less you can go to Los Pericos on E14th and get similar food with all the flavor. Chef and clerk were very nice and I appreciated how the chef made sure I had the proper tools and sauces to enjoy the food, I also liked that they added a bit of queso fresco to the place, rare to find that. The restaurant is very clean and during my visit they had a lot of pick ups via phone. This place isn’t hurting

I’ve been going here for years and they have some good food. I would definitely recommend anything that has chorizo in it(tacos, burritos, enchiladas). The Chorizo is bomb! better than anywhere else! The Flautas are really good as well, I would recommend definitely trying them! The salsa roja is spicey with good flavor and the salsa verde is a bit more mild but has good flavor as well. The only thing that I would say that could use a little improving is the chips. All in All this a good place that serves some good mexican grub!

This is the best Mexican food that my family and I have ate at. I’ve have food for my sons birthday dinner served and all my guests love the food and kept asking where I got the food from! I also have had many other evens come up and needed a bunch of food and stopped here and ordered a bunch of fresh food, hands down the best place to go to in the Bay Area! Highly recommend.

Great food! I have had a couple things that weren’t too great but when you find the good stuff you will find yourself going back a lot. Their simple taquitos and tacos are delicious – best al pastor and chorizo I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. My wife loves the Chile Colorado and shredded chicken.

Growing up in/near San Lorenzo, this family owned joint is a good choice if you want to stay in the neighborhood. We’ve always experienced family friendly service, short wait time, and decent food. The red sauce is my fave. My daughter isn’t a picky eater. But she definitely has her moments. This wasn’t one of them. She devoured her chicken taco and impressed the cashier/server by tearing up the tortillas and making her own soft taquitos to expedite the process. I had the regular chicken burrito. The meat was tender and the beans and rice were moist and blended well together. And that red salsa is great.

I was starving after getting my Whip Smogged. So I thought I would give Papa Pancho’s a try. Papa Pancho’s is located in a Strip Mall in San Lorenzo. They don’t take Credit Cards just Debit and Cash. I ordered a Wet Burrito with Chorizo and Carne Asada Mixed wit Guacamole and Sour Cream and a Soda. 10 Minutes Later I had my Burrito it was a little smaller than I expected. When I cut into it the contents where Lukewarm I like my ingredients Piping Hot. . It tasted fine. The Chips and Salsa was OK . Papas would do in a pinch. But there are better Options around for Mexican.
