Hutch’s Full Service Touch-Less Car Wash

After a few chances, I am finally giving up on this place. Most of the workers seem like they don’t want to be there and work at a slow pace, some how still managing to miss spots (big wax spots too, not just little streaks). The last straw was when I got some new rims put on my car, I wanted the outside cleaned… the young punk who drove my car off was a bit fast, but I understand because my car is a bit fun to drive. What was NOT OK, was my brand new front rims being scuffed up bad from some idiotic move he made. I didn’t notice til the day after when a friend pointed it out. I have pictures of when I first got the rims installed then again after the wash, it was clear that the marks were done at Hutch’s Car Wash. This is completely unacceptable, I’d actually be less furious if the guy just owned up to it. Lack of work ethic and professionalism is the reason this «business» only gets one star from me.

So I purchased a Toyota 4Runner that was trashed from the inside it needed a major detail. I took it early morning 8:05 am!, I get approached by a white shirt male I’m guessing that’s the supervisor I asked him «hey GOODMORNING can I leave my car for a detail» his response was hey man I don’t think we can doit today we are going to be busy I was like is opening time no cars maybe 2 cars getting a car wash he said you can leave it but I don’t promise you that we will even touch it. Basically they don’t care the time spent on them and people’s time. Is a business your suppose to do those jobs that’s why their open and offer those services 7 days a week. So I left upset took it to Hayward TOCHLESS CARWASH! And they where full on cars and still took my truck got it back in three hours looking new! Business is business

Waited 90 minutes for a car wash. Saw people get here after me and leave before me. Saw workers come in and say «sir your car is ready» and «ma’am your car is ready» but never mine. Just got a basic wash, nothing special. I keep looking for my car, but it’s not in sight. So I finally ask what is going on and I’m told, «you’re probably not paying attention.» To which I replied, «you’re really fucked up to be blaming the customer. That’s bullshit! Where is my car?!» Guess he was shocked at my language, but don’t put out what you’re not ready to receive! Finally, he brings my car around and I left. Working off tips, you’d think you’d have better customer service than that. No tip and I will not be giving this place my business again.

I have been going to hutches car wash since 1970. Their service now is so slow and mediocre but I am desperately on the search for car wash anywhere they can actually do the job. Their management doesn’t care, the new owner doesn’t care and their people are just lazy.

This is my first review, I usually don’t take the time. However, I don’t want what happened to me to happen to someone else. Straight to the point; THEY STOLE MY COLOGNE!!! The cologne was in the same place for over 3 weeks, then after car wash it disappeared. Beside the fact they took the cologne, the quality of work and service was totally unimpressive.

I was left with BUGS on my car after my car was «washed» I should say rinsed and wiped. Poor job.

They gave me a service today and was not the best. Something I really want clients to know is to be sure to give tips to the person who cleans your car. Some managers keep the tips to themselves and the workers are being abused. Please don’t be naïve about it.

One star for a cheap car wash. Had to bring the car back to get it washed again! Use with caution! Cuz I wouldn’t recommend this place

Been here a number of times since I moved to this area from Union City. The car washes have been below average. The drying has been poor. The outdoor cashier machine has been broken for months. Each time I had to park the car and go into the building to pay the cashier. I say pass on this car wash location.

The worst place around to get your car washed! They do a bad job on cleaning your car. Worst customer service. They parked my car on the side and forgot about it. I waited to see how long it would take for them to finally start cleaning it. After 45 mins I went and complained. They forgot they parked my car to the side. At that point I wanted a refund so I can just leave, and that couldn’t happen because the cashier didn’t know how. (Not her fault), lack of training! As I’m also there waiting, there were 2 other people complaining about a scratch on the car, and the other because they broke his windshield wipers.

Really fast and good car wash. Signed up for the unlimited car wash program through AAA I thought it was going to be some bs but they cleaned my windows, vacuumed the floor and put the butter on my tires after the wash. This was a good idea

If I am going to pay $ 40 for a car wash it better look good when done.
Car wasn’t vacuumed out well at all. Even though is wasn’t very messy to begin with.
Dash board wasn’t wiped down.
Streaks in the windows.
Tires weren’t cleaned at all. Amaral coatings was not even close to that. They looked the same going out as they did when they came in.
When asked to wipe the dash board down at least was told they don’t understand. I tried showing them. The manager came over and I had to explain it to him and the tires and he said it was done. I took my finger and wipes the dust on the dash board.
If I wanted to wash my car and clean it that good I would have stayed home and saved the $ 40
NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!

Posted hours are 8−5pm. Today, they turned me away at 1:30pm and said they were closed! That’s right, 3.5 hours before closing time, and they turn customers away. It was a sunny day so weather was not an excuse. Terrible customer service.

I’ve been coming to this car wash for years. The quality of their car washes are consistently mediocre. My car always has very visible dirt still on it. If anyone there cared about the quality of service provided but nobody does.
In my case they benefit from the fact that there are no other good alternatives in the immediate area. I ended up purchasing their unlimited wash package for $ 30/​month at least if I’m going to get a half-​assed car wash I’m not going to pay more than $ 4 per wash, on average.
On a regular basis they will «clean» my car only for me to approach the car and still see handprints on windows, mud spots around the wheel well, or my personal favorite, grease streaks across my doors from their dirty, greasy rags. My rims are never cleaned correctly. If I’m lucky they’ll wipe away about 70% of the brake dust and road grime leaving the rest for me to do myself.
Absolutely no quality control. I will usually see the manager reacting to complaints instead of out there supervising and proactively checking for good quality work.
I recently made the mistake of having them wax one of my cars. Very clear spots on the roof and bottom parts of doors where they did not wipe away wax. I ended up having to wipe down the whole car myself to make sure all wax was removed. Waste of money to have them do it if I had to re-​do their work.
I would never come here if I had to pay full price for one of their washes. Save your money and go farther down the road to Hesperian 100% Hand Car Wash.

This place sucks plain and simple. Used to be good with the old manager. Totally blows now. $ 17.99 to only have ½ the dirt wiped off your car. I have a denali they put one of my back seats down, never put it up, it certainly was NOT to vacuum. THey left the door handles totally untouched, towel fuzz all over the car and seem to have forgotten I had 4 wheels, left one of them untouched. Car looked like shit, I should of just done it myself, which ultimately when I got home did just that. If the 5′ tall pancake-​ass hispanic woman gets your car or the tweaker looking hispanic 60 year man that’s been in the sun too long, ask for other people. No tip from me. Annoyed but wasn’t about to wait another hour for someone to redo it. My tip to YOU is go somewhere else.

Had a free car wash from getting my oil changed. I’ve been here lots of times but in the last 2 months I’ve turned around and left without getting my car wash. Today when I pulled up at 1 pm on a Monday I was told it would be an hour wait… WHAT??? There weren’t even any cars in the queue to get vacuumed. I knew it was going to be bad when I saw 4… yes 4 cars turn around ahead of me.
Not only that the 8 $ express wash is NEVER working. When it is you have to get out and go inside to pay. It’s EXPRESS, getting out of my car is not EXPRESS. I think it’s time to take down the BIG SIGN at the entrance that says EXPRESS wash… because it’s anything but express.

I thought I would give Hutch’s a try being I have coffee every morning in San Lorenzo,
WOW what a mistake.
#1. I paid over $ 27.00 for the whole thing,
#2. They didn’t wipe the dash,
#3. They streaked all the windows inside & out. #4. They only Amoraled the tires & forgot about the rest of the black plastic on the vehicle.
#5. Forgot to wipe down the crome. And the big #6. No one knows what happened to my little Mag Light that is always in my ashtray.
Just to let you know I am going back to my old car wash in Hayward on the corner of Jackson & Soto. Shame on me I should have known when I had it so good

Overall this was the worse car wash ever! I went today around 3pm to get a car wash and it took about 10 minutes to finish my car. Well i could have done a better job than them! The seats weren’t clean, they didn’t vacuum the carpet in the back and middle seats. I had to ask them to wipe the interior sides of the car. I paid $ 27.99 for my car wash and when you pay that amount pf money for a car wash you expect a good service. I will not spend my money here again!

hello Unilocalers! it’s March 2015 and I’m still a regular at Hutch’s car wash in San Lorenzo. My 2001 Buick Park Avenue is going strong and looks stellar. I always get compliments on how clean and nice it is. I’m giving them 5 stars now because I haven’t had any issues with streaks or smears since my last review. I still go first thing Sunday mornings when it’s cool and there are plenty of rested and energetic workers. Since there’s not much else to do, I tend to watch them at work. They do dry the inside of the door jambs, grill, and mirrors every time so don’t believe that guy who says they don’t. After driving home I do wipe down the front and back bumpers, around the mirror, and under the door handle, because the wind displaces water in the crevices of the car. a single paper towel will do it. Suck it up and don’t be a whiner.
One suggestion I would make to Hutch’s is to PLEASE ban all smoking on the facility including the outside. I can’t stand the stink. Smokers should go to the sidewalk or all the way across the lot so they don’t pollute the air for the rest of us who don’t poison our bodies.

So I brought the Burgundy Buick Beast here a day after we drove back from San Luis Obispo and I had my hopes high even though I knew the history of items missing items. I parked a block away and grabbed all of my personal items and stuffed them in my pocket (so I thought I got everything) and I rolled in and the Buick needed a major cleaning. I went for a $ 79.00 package that included the seats to be manually cleaned or shampooed. Anyways I hung around and around an was supervising the cleaning from a short distance but I guess they are too slick.
A few years ago my nephew had given me a MP3 for my birthday and I had lots of my favorite music on it because it is a small and light toy to use when I go on my midnight walks and I forgot to remove it.
So that was on a Monday and I thought I had taken it out but I started to look for it and couldn’t find it. I was so upset and disappointed I went to talk to the manager in person and made him break a sweat. Not even wanting to listen to my whole story he said he would give me a $ 100.00 credit and I told him over and over I was not there to try and get something free. Most of you that know me know that already.
I was given a business card that had his name and signature and a $ 100.00 credit.
I told him that the credit was not going to replace my music and that was not the purpose of my visit.
In other words I have taken another car I have to get it cleaned and still have $ left for a third toy I have.
I don’t like dishonest people of places. I went there to support a business that employs and has non-​english speaking people to do their dirty work and I even tipped the 3 cleaners that cleaned the Buick. So overall I still do not recommend this place.
