In the past I have not been to impressed with the service and staff but we were there a few weeks ago and I have to say that the Manager there really took care of us!!! Thank you for helping me get back my confidence in your restaurant.

The quality of this location’s food and service has gone down tremendously. Black Angus was my late Grandmother’s favorite restaurant, and for years I would come here for family dinners often after church on Sundays. This location used to be constantly packed with waits up to an hour plus. My family never minded waiting because of how delicious the food was and the efficiency of service. Since my Grandmother’s passing, I haven’t been to Black Angus much. I recently returned to this location yesterday and my experience has forever tainted my image of Black Angus. I ate here with my husband and a group of our friends. In total, we were a group of 9. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated right away. Our server was very friendly and quickly offered us drinks, bread and took our order. Our appetizers arrived first and we were slightly disappointed with the quality. We ordered two Wagon samplers, potato skins and quesadillas to share. The steak quesadillas were very good whereas the potato skins were a little bland and tough. My husband and some friends grabbed chicken strips from the sampler platter and were disappointed with the taste. One of our friends, complained to the manager about the quality of the sampler platter to which the manager made a very sly and unwelcoming comment, «Oh you didn’t like it after you ate it.» Needless to say, we were all a bit perturbed by his attitude but kept quiet nonetheless. The manager promptly returned with another sampler platter, which we did not request, threw it down on the table and said, «here this should be better for you,» then immediately walked away. Following our appetizers, we waited for what seemed an eternity for our main dishes to be brought out. As a pregnant woman who was very hungry, I was excited when our food finally arrived to the table. However my excitement was quickly diminished when we noticed the quality of our food. Among a group of 9, here’s a list of the problems we experienced with our food: — my husband stumbled across a small pebble in his food(looks like the pebbles you find in a fish tank), which he bit into unknowingly, and could have possibly chipped a tooth. — a friend requested her ribeye to be cooked medium well but her steak returned over cooked and completely dry — dry prime rib — dry steak — cold broccoli — missing side dish — stiff mashed potatoes — undercooked lobster — salad brought without dressing, and a wait of more than 15 minutes for new dressing I would say each of us had a complaint about our food and we had to send several items back to the kitchen to be prepared properly or simply returned. This is unacceptable! Needless to say, we were all highly disappointed. Our server was very friendly and understanding of the situation, she encouraged us to file a complaint with the manager. However, after our earlier encounter with the manager over appetizers we opted against speaking with him. Instead, we promptly paid our bill and exited the restaurant in frustration, some of us still hungry because we returned our food instead of dealing with the possibility for more mishaps. Our server tried to rectify the situation the best she could by coming our sodas and two of our appetizers. I could not believe all that we had to go through yesterday. Definitely not reminiscent of the good times I used to have with my family at this restaurant years ago. I vowed after yesterday to never return to this location and honestly, my experience at this one has tainted my image of all Black Angus. If someone invites me to Black Angus in the future, I’ll definitely think twice.

Hadn’t been to a Black Angus. since their closure in Fremont, several years ago. Invited today to watch the Warriors game, having arranged for a Reserved table ahead of time. for a group of 6. While we feasted mainly on Appetizers throughout the game and great drinks, the SERVICE was OUTSTANDING. Our waitress Lacey was warm, friendly, super hospitable and provided SUPERBSERVICE. She kept an eye on our beverages throughout the evening and make sure our food was to our satisfaction, besides being prompt and hot. The busing of our table was purrfect. Thank you, Lacey for a most enjoyable evening. YOUAREANASSET to the Black Angus Steakhouse.

I had a pretty good experience here. My server was Teresa she was nice. We had the nachos for starters and it was huge! We did a deal two for like 53? It was a pretty good deal the food could have been a little better but I didn’t mind too much. My shrimp and rice was cold idk if it was supposed to be like that and my boyfriends potatoes were a little stiff. He didn’t like it. But the staff and overall was nice will come again!(:

My family(including out of town guests) and I went to this restaurant in March and did’t get the value expected. I contacted the GM, Nathan and he invited me back. We had a wonderful meal and impeccable serve and shall return again soon. I encourage any and all to try this wonderful establishment.

I was very disappointed for the basic service did not exist. Why was the food brought to the table before our silverware? Still wanting to have a good experience we were denied again having to ask more than two times for salad dressing that did not exist on my salad, finally i reach for the ranch dressing that came with our chicken wings. I know im easy going as i work with the public and understand sometimes it gets busy. But it was ovious the staff is undertrained and clueless. As i left disappointed i looked around and thought all the garbage on the entrey way reflects the pride they have in there restaurant.

While the food here has never been bad the service on our last experience frankly sucked. The server name on our $ 80 receipt(for two people) was Lauren. The girl who helped us seemed put out the whole time she helped us despite us being polite and courteous and frankly spending a ton. We had to remind her that we had ordered a margarita as we waited 15 minutes into the dining experience and eating our salads with still no marg. She literally seemed to have forgotten when we mentioned it. Okay not biggie. Drink refills(iced tea) were far and few between and our dessert cookie came(when it finally did) with the icecream melted. Clearly it had been sitting waiting for us. Posting a dessert pic and our receipt pic with my review. Talked to the manager on our way out and he said he would take care of it if I called him next time I came in. I appreciated that but I don’t know when that will be to be honest.

So my man roasts me regularly for what he feels are my high-falutin tendencies. Though I fantasize about a birthday dinner at House of Prime Rib a la Tony Bourdain, year after year, we celebrate at our local Black Angus(or Anjus as my mama pronounces it). It’s like he’s daring me to turn up my nose. I don’t. That molasses bread alone is worth a visit. But I do criticize their godawful slowness and the stank attitude one of the servers had a few years back(how he escaped my wrath on Unilocal boggles my mind.) Black Angus serves up standard American carnivore fare in a time-that-stood-still atmosphere; they’ve been rocking the retro Western theme since I was a high school kid growing up in Slz. For the first time in about four years, we got decent and timely service. Orders were taken promptly. We got our shared appetizer, spinach and artichoke dip sizzling in a little pan, quickly. Refills on water and bread were consistent. The entrees came within a good amount of time. I had the fire-grilled prawns with garlic mashed potatoes(definitely a highlight) and steamed broccoli. My daughter and I had a school event to attend so we asked for our desserts to go, to-go boxes, and the check. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. After about 20 minutes, we were on our way. We enjoyed the desserts at home, including the birthday boy’s complimentary giant cookie and the awesome Peanut Butter pie.

Terrible service ordered a lobster & steak meal had to ask and wait for everything to long. Some items were forgotten. Order was wrong soup cold no bread or wster. No steak sauce or lemon for meal. Came here to celebrate my Fiancé birthday. My server was this cute lil young lady(Blanca) she was on point with everything I needed, and very friendly. I like that they have the food runner(Sammi) check in with you when she brings out the streak, to make sure it’s cooked to your satisfaction, Sammi was also very friendly. My fiancé had a Strawberry Mango Margarita, and he said it was one of the best he has had. I tasted it too, and it was the BOMB. The Manager Eduardo runs a great restaurant and I’m so happy this one is still in business. I use to go to the one in Foster City back in the days.

First time here was to celebrate a friends birthday. As soon as we walked in the receptionist seated us right away. Our waitress(i think her name was jessie or something like that) greeted us and was awesome at first. Then came the food. I was a little disappointed in the food as i ordered a prime rib and received a whole different cut. After we got our food there were no waiters to be found. Service was super slow and our waitress took 20 minutes to bring out our beer after we had to remind them that we ordered beer. Service could be better under the right management and food could be better as well. Also i mentioned to the waitress that it was my friends birthday and we never got any happy birthday song or any dessert or anything, while They sang a happy birthday song to another table on the other side of us. All in all we got Just a fat bill for mediocre food and a smile goodnight. Never coming back here again.

I loved Black Angus in Fremont. Why they closed it was a Hugh mistake. 3 of us recently took advantage of the mail advertisement coupon book and went to San Lorenzo Location at 5 pm. On a Thursday Feb 4th. Ordered drinks, and surf n turf, our gal was obviously was new, Took forever to get bread had to ask another waitress passing by. Missing silver wear, I could go on. Some big guy sloppily dress walking around asking people how everything was, I was too afraid to say anything Least to say no more San Lorenzo. Being in Fremont, I think we’ll try another location. Please train your staff better. Manager needs to be customer service presentable, steaks could be bigger.

Came here for my buddy’s birthday. We had a reservation and waited for a short period in order for the rest of our party to be seated. The décor is intimate and rugged. Soft lighting and a little snug with the seating. We were greeted by our server with bread and butter and she took our drink order. Very attentive the entire time without making us feel rushed. And she made sure to clear our table as we finished our apps, entrée’s, and deserts. Excellent job! The menu was pretty big and the selections were all very appetizing. I did pull out a coupon for two via phone and it was excepted! So I ordered the combo appetizer which came with fried zucchini, boneless buffalo wings, fried cheese sticks, and grilled shrimp. All went very well with my beer. As the main entrée I had the medium well filet mignon with macaroni and cheese and some potato concoction that was very delicious. Before our server walked away she asked if we all could cut into our steaks and make sure they were to our liking. Mine was the only one that was not. It was over cooked. They were more than happy to take it back and cook me a new one. They brought me a new steak and it was more then prefect. Since it was a birthday party, they sang my buddy happy birthday. Gave him a cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and candle. As my dessert we had the mud pie which was on point! Overall, it was a way better experience than my last. Service, food, and décor little to complain about.

Not only is the food good, but the service is great here. I ordered a salad from Kallee and I asked for light dressing. Me being super anal and picky thought it was a little bit too much dressing. Kallee didn’t even hesitate to remake my salad, and when she did, it came out perfectly. It’s customer service like this that makes me and my bf wanna come back. The next time we came back, Kallee remembered us and made us feel special! I’m sure she meets hundreds of customers, but for a server to remember you, means a lot. Thank you Kallee! We are gonna request you as a server going forward!

I don’t go here often because it’s kiiiiinda expensive in my opinion… but we had to go big for my birthday! While it may be expensive, there are ALWAYS coupons in the mail that you could use that make the meals a pretty good deal. Just know that you’ll only be able to use one coupon per tab. If you’re waiter is nice, they’ll split the tab for you to accommodate! I recommend the campfire special — you’ll get an appetizer to share, a whole entrée, two sides, AND dessert to share. Use the coupon for an even better deal! It was so much food, I was full when I barely started on my steak. The food was awesome and the service was better. Shout out to Abby though! Thanks for being so nice and patient with my indecisive family LOL. We all really appreciated your helpfulness. I’ll definitely be back to try out the happy hour soon!
