Fresh donuts and a good variety in the mornings. The donut holes are light and fluffy, my girls and I love ‘em. The hubs likes the maple bars. I’m a sucker for apple fritters. Theirs are good. Not my fav since I like mine on the moist soft side and theirs are more crunchy. Prices are decent. They sell lotto tickets and the service is quick.

I stop by periodically to pick up donuts for my staff. Everything is always fresh and they’re friendly and welcoming, even if you’re only spending two dollars.

Don’t accept credit cards, 0.75 $ fee for debit card, don’t have bags for large orders, and not the friendliest folks in town… but the donuts are good, and easy access from the freeway.

This is the go to Donut shop! They have freshly made donuts and the ham and cheese croissant is exactly what you need when hung over and in need to soak up the night before aftermath. The staff is awesome and always so friendly even if it’s 7am or 2pm. Yes, 2pm… Don’t judge me, sometimes a girl needs a chocolate bar in her life to get her afternoon fix ;). Last but not least, one word: Scratchers. If you don’t believe me, look at the walls inside and see how many winners they have had or look at my profile pic and see my sunglasses I am wearing. Thanks to the $ 20 gold rush scratcher, I was able to purchase some new Chloe stunner shades with my winnings from Nordy Rack. If you are a local East Bay resident and not sure where to go, hit this place us. Good fresh coffee and donuts along with muffins and scones.

I’m 32 and and after 25 years, Bruce, the owner, still remembers me. My family moved to San Leandro when I was 7 and this was and always has been my favorite donut shop(considering that I lived in New York City in an apartment complex over Dunkin Donuts, this Donut shop is far better). He and his wife always smiles and waves through the window– so friendly. They have the best old fashioned donuts and their cinnamon donuts are the best I have ever tasted!

This place has BOMB donuts. It seems like they always have a good selection, even when I arrive a bit late. They use the coarse granulated sugar on their sugar donuts which is the best kind. they have a very wide variety of glazes for their french cruellers and cake donuts. i.e. strawberry, maple, vanilla, chocolate, orange, blueberry… possibly more. They have normal reasonable donut prices, and in my opinion have the best donuts in San Leandro. As a donut connoisseur, I recommend!

This place has some of the best donuts in the Bay Area. I used to make my living as a baker and made donuts for about 12 years, so I know a good donut when I see/taste one. There is an ART to the perfect donut and these guys here have it NAILED. Their donuts are perfectly proofed, perfectly fried, perfectly iced, perfectly glazed… I’m talking pastry-chef level’s of perfection here. I moved to Antioch 20 years ago and I still drive over 30 miles to get these donuts. If you read a bad review for this place I guarantee the reviewer is a clueless fool.

This place has the absolute best apple fritter I have ever tasted! Just the right amount of crispy on the outside, fully cooked and just the right amount of soft on the inside.

Guys, I know it’s right off the freeway but there are so many better donut places in the east bay, including Lucky Donuts which is a couple of minutes away. If you’ve been coming here for decades I appreciate that you like the owners, but live a little — do a Unilocal search and try some other places and see what you think. You might be pleasantly surprised. My personal opinion? The donuts here are OK. Not great, just OK. And they’re often not that fresh. I believe they make donuts daily. I don’t believe they totally purge everything that didn’t sell from the day before. Maybe if you’re a regular they always grab from the fresh end of the stack, I don’t know, but my luck hasn’t been good.

Very average donut shop. They sell a lot of lottery tickets here. It’s actually a fairly large place, but there’s no where to sit, and the donut selection is kind of small. It’s very crowded at the front counter. Donuts are average.

Best donuts in this part of San Leandro(Mings is best in SL). When I go there I get a yeast donut with chocolate frosting and a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and nuts. Everytime I’ve gotten donuts here they have tasted fresh.(Also Sabinos is across the street so I can get a latte there).

I actually never knew the name of my go-to– donut place was Slikker’s(the outside sign saying Donuts) because I would have otherwise wrote a review a long time ago. Bruce the owner and his family are the sweetest people and put a lot of love in what they do and the quality of their donuts/other pastries. They know their regulars by name and have given nothing but the friendliest of service to me, my family, friends, and others. I am a San Leandro native and live close to it and KNOW for a fact they make them daily. Many times while I needed to get something at Rite Aid after/before hrs. I will see them baking the donuts. It is very conveniently located next to the 580 freeway in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. The prices are very reasonable and for big events Bruce gives great rates. Other reviews that mentioned it is petite in size is correct. However, it doesn’t take away that everyday people are sitting down, conversing, eating and having a good time. Many times while working in San Francisco I would surprise co-workers with donuts on a Friday or Monday. They would always really enjoy them and ask me where I got them. This place is especially busy on a Sunday morning, and has loyal clientele throughout the week. I have tried many donut places in San Leandro, Oakland, San Francisco, etc. I’ve tried places that were supposed to be «gourmet» or in famous foodie areas like Temescal or Russian Hill. Although I appreciate and enjoy their donuts, Slikker’s is still the one I crave when I need a sugar rush. Yes they do sell different kinds of coffee. A lot of people that come in are regulars and usually don’t ask for anything besides a regular cup of coffee to go with their baked goods. However, there are still plenty of options for other kinds of hot/cold coffees/drinks if you so desire which they are happy to make for you. Yes, winning scratch out and lottery tickets are displayed on the walls. I don’t particularly understand why people have an issue with this as the owner is happy that so many people won in his shop. I don’t know a person that hasn’t at least once walked into a business that’s sold lottery/scratch outs and not seen winning tickets be displayed. At the end of the day it’s a small, local donut store that is family run, centered around family neighborhoods. If people require Vivaldi to be playing and Matisse on the walls in order to enjoy a donut than this isn’t the shop. If you want a good variety of tasty donuts, conveniently next to everything, at reasonable prices, give it a try. I am proud to say that originally strangers, through the years Bruce and his family have become great friends and are happy to help everyone that comes into their shop. Especially if they see you consistently they will treat you like family. For their great service, tasty baked goods, and convenience I will be coming to their store for many years to come. Thank you Bruce! All the best!

Something is strange here… and I mean strange! Was passing through the area and stopped in on a Saturday morning to get donuts. Firstly, I think they sell more lottery tickets here than they do donuts. They have a WALL full of lottery tickets. My husband said it felt like a casino. The donut selection was strangely small and I mean SMALL!!! I’ve seen a wider selection at a grocery store. I had the weirdest feeling that they didn’t actually make the donuts here because there was no donut smell… if you know what I mean. I asked for a cake donut with chocolate frosting. Instead, I was given a chocolate donut with chocolate frosting. It wasn’t very good. It was greasy and heavy. My husband bought an apple fritter and said it was like a eating a mouthful of sugar. He took a couple of bites and couldn’t finish the rest. My hubby and I both agreed that it feels like there is something more going on here and we don’t know what. Feel free to stop by and make your guesses. Or… move on and find a better donut shop.

I just bought an old fashioned chocolate donut here and it was the worst! It was so stale I would bet it was over a day old. They had the nerve to charge me full price for it. Threw it right in the garbage where it belonged! I hate that!!! Boo on you Slikker Donuts!

One of the best places to get donuts around here. Prices are pretty competitive with safeway/luckys(theirs are frozen which they bake and ice) while over here they freshly bake their donuts daily. He has a nice variety of donuts which all taste great! The owner here is really nice and will eventually get to know you if you become one of his regulars.

You are likely to get much better service here if you fit the following criteria: 1) You are an old codger 2) You have a Lotto addiction 3) You dig weak coffee. That said — since I fit none of the above qualifications — their donuts are hefty and there’s plenty of free parking.
