I was referred to Mika by a dear friend of mine who always has a great hair day. The first time I went to Seductive Styles Salon I was hooked! The Salon has friendly and talented staff. Also, the salon is very spacious and clean. It is a retreat after a long hard day. They have a no children policy which makes it nice when you need some pampering in a no kids zone.

I got a full head weave and I like my weaves long. I’m also very picky with my hair, and I don’t settle for sloppy work. From TT who washed my hair, Flo who braided down my hair, to finally Tamika who did a amazing job cutting, styling the hair to frame my face it was a 5*service. If you want a great hair day everyday go to Seductive Styles Salon. Tamika works by appointment only so hurry in. Also, just a quick tip. Make sure you book your next appointment immediately after you get your hair done. Spots fill up fast.

I have been going to Tamika for about 5 years now. She is very into healthy hair and she never dissapoints with getting my hair straight. I have tried plenty of other stylist that just don’t deal with the old school pressing comb. My hair looks like I have a perm when I walk out the shop and it last for 2 weeks. For the most part she really accomadates me with appointment times.

Tamika first did my hair in 2002 and it’s 2012…10 years later and she’s better than ever! Tamika is all about hair care and hair maintenance. If you ask her to do something that is not beneficial for you and your hair… she will NOT do it and has no problem telling you NO. Sooo, I have been going to Tamika for a while and One thing I can say she is talented so wtf else matters… I have YET to walk out of Seductive Styles disappointed. Beauty takes time, so please take all the time as you may if I’m going to walk out of there in perfection… As for «Hashona» that was entirely tooooo much details, which lets one know you have entirely too much time on your hands. Scheduling a consultation? **things that make you say hhhmmm** but please disregard that negative review because as a loyal CLIENT, someone who actually has experienced the overwhelming talent of Tamika, believe me she is the BEST

I found Tamika to be incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL and advise you to take your business elsewhere.
I first tried to contact Tamika in mid-​October. On my first attempt, I called, someone answered the phone then immediately hung up. When I called back, I got the answering machine and left a message. Receiving no return call, I tried to contact Tamika again a week later. I left another message, which was never returned.
I called on November 5^th and reached one of Tamika’s associates at the salon who advised me to call on Tuesday, November 8^th. I was not able to reach her that day or the next. Finally, on Thursday November 10^th, I made contact with Tamika and scheduled a consultation for Monday November 14^th at 11 am.
I took ½ a day’s vacation on November 14^th for the consultation. Because I live far from the salon, I left my house at 10 am. While I was driving to the appointment, Tamika sent me a text message canceling the appointment, claiming that she needed to get her house in order for the holidays. (Really? Thanksgiving is still 10 days away.) Taking into account the vacation time, gas prices and bridge tolls, I wasted almost $ 300 that day.
I also recently learned that a colleague had a 6 pm appointment with Tamika and Tamika didn’t start on her hair until 10 pm.
While I hear Tamika’s work is good, her service sucks.

I’m new to the area so I went on line to find a sytlist. I read the reviews and decided to try Seductive Styles. I have natural hair with a cellophane to cover those grays! Anyway, I called and Janelle was able to fit me in the next day. She is very nice, personable and affordable. I went in for a trim, cellophane and a press. I have to say that I was pleased with the color, the trim I felt turned into a cut but if my ends are bad I believe in cutting them off, but it was the press I wasn’t happy with. I have wavy hair so you have to get in there; My beautician in L. A is heavy handed, but Janelle is light and gentle. I would go to her again, this time I would specifiy to press and flat iron my hair (curling it to add body = big hair to me), Overall, I think once she does my hair a couple of more times she will figure it out. She promotes natural hair so she is worth a redux!

I was searching for a good hair salon that’s semi-​close to my house because I’m tired of traveling to SF just to be in a salon for hrs so I searched on Unilocal and found Seductive Style I went on feb. 19^th and I LOVE it! Janelle is the best. She welcomed me in and kept me laughing the whole time. She is very professional and does not bring drama to the shop. She did my hair the best and I plan on staying with her for as long as I possibly can. Everyone at my Police Academy graduation complimented my hair and my family loved it. Thanks Janelle! She worked a complete MIRACLE. She’s turnin’ ducks into Swans yall lol for real she will do her best to make sure your satisfied. I recommend everyone to this shop.

When I first started going to Janelle a couple of years ago I had a very short hair cut (my hair was less than a half inch long at the longest) about a little over a year later I decided to grow my hair out, now my hair has grown past my shoulders and HEALTHY which is important to me. When deciding on choosing a beautician you need to be able to trust that when you sit in their chair that they are knowledgeable, cares about the current health state of your hair as well as be a good stylist. Janelle is all of thee above. I always leave happy…

So Tameka finally returned my call 6 days later… SOOO FIRED!

Tamika did my daughter’s thick, wavy hair. Gorgeous. Jane had hair to her waist and wanted a new look. Tamika cut it beautifully. The style showed off her waves, and had a lot of movement. No matter how it landed, it looked great. Jane left the shop a very happy young woman. This is not a fancy high end shop, but relax about that and enjoy getting a great cut at a very good price without any pretention for a change.

I absolutely love my hair. A statement I never omit after getting my hair done at the shop. I usually have to cut, flip, dye whatever part I think doesn’t look appealing. Not today. Jannell did my hair, shes the owner. Her niece Tamika works there as well. Both professional. Love it! Jannell did exactly what I had imagined before I went in. Usually I hesitate to tell whoever is doing my hair how I want it because its not what they want to do to my head. (…even though I’m the one getting my hair done.) Any who… I’m confident with my results. I must say, based on the great atmosphere, and right off the freeway location I will be a regular client!
Its been said by some that «Hair is all the same.» This statement is not true. Depending on your ethnic background determines the texture of your hair. For African Americans our hair is something we take much pride in. Though it can be tamed in various styles, its not that easy to manage. You go through product after product, stylist after stylist, in hopes of finding that one that will work for you. Im glad I finally have…

This would be more like an attachment to the review i wrote about «Klip Appeal» This review is «mainly» for African American Women – only because our hair is VERY DIFFERENT – no offense.
I wrote a review about a Tamika Marie who was once at Klip Appeal but no longer. I received so many emails thanking me for this post. well girls she has moved from Oakland to San Leandro sharing the same shop with her aunt – basically she comes from a family who does hair! The one thing i love about Tamika is she tells it like it is… don’t come up in there with a Britney Spears hair and expect a Beyonce after a few hours. If you hair is unhealthy she will tell you, if you want a perm or hair color and you got split ends all the way up to your roots, she will tell you a big fat NO. see most stylist will do it (maybe they may warn you or something) b/​c they wanna make their clients happy and/​or they want the money… i think Tamika wants to make you happy – at first you may really wanted that Naomi Campbell weave and she told you no and you got disappointed but after a few months – in the end you will be happy cause your hair will be HEALTHY… she has most definitely took care of my split ends… and told me no several times when i wanted highlights and i wanted to perm my edges. i get so Bord with my hair and i always wanna change it up… but what i really want is healthy hair… so go see her tell her i said hey!
