They say that one of the things in life that one should never go cheap on is footwear. I agree. My experience today at Red Wing left me very satisfied. There was only one clerk present, a pleasant and helpful young lady by the name of Maria. She was busy helping another customer when I walked in. Since he was the only one and she was finishing up with him, I chose to wait. About 10 minutes later, I told her my situation(I’m constantly on my feet at work) and asked to see a pair of a certain shoe in my size. She quickly brought out the shoes and helped me try them on. They felt a little loose and my previous pair of shoes offered no shock absorption, which gave me a nasty case of Achilles tendinitis. I was wearing some pretty thin athletic socks at the time, which explained the loose fit, so I asked if there was any type of orthotic insole that could offer support and shock absorption. She quickly produced two insoles and I tried both shoes on, one with the insole and one without, to compare. The difference was night and day! I was sold. I admit, I spent a bit more than I had originally planned, but I have faith that my feet will thank me tomorrow at work when I am walking around. I’ve turned to Red Wing in the past for high-quality industrial footwear. They didn’t disappoint then and didn’t disappoint now.

Insanely crowded on a Sunday afternoon, and only one person was working. We looked around for a few minutes, but it would have taken forever before we’d have been helped, so we left. Good selection of shoes, though.

I can’t even put one star! I’m sad to say this place looks like they have great shoes, but the most horrible un-welcoming customer service. They’re was no greeting first and for most, no acknowledging what so ever and just all around bad energy. I think a place of business that has been around for so many years and charges hight costs for their product would at least have a friendly greeting when you walk in. My man was looking for some good work shoes and didn’t want to purchase them here because he was just disappointed with the customer service. We both are normally really patient people but we just had to leave because the energy was just bad. I even felt sad for other customers that walked in because they to weren’t being acknowledged! I wanted to act like I worked there and just let the people know don’t worry she will be right with you. This place just needs a little light and someone working there that can at least give a smile and nice welcoming experience. Thank you…

I needed a new Pair of Work Boots and the last pair that I bought from Becks didn’t last too long and they were of Inferior quality. So I figured I give Red Wing a try so I jumped into my Whip and rolled to the Green House Market Place . I parked in the Mall Parking lot and rolled into Red Wing. They have a Big Selection of Work Boot and shoes and they seem well built. One of their Clerks came over and answered a few questions for me. Then she took my foot measurements . She matched me up with a nice pair of Comfort Fit Red Wing Work Boots. They were Pricey, But the Quality was there. I paid By Discover Card and Rolled out.

Red Wing boots i wore decades ago. don’t know why i stopped: –probably the higher. cost? –inconvenience of going to a faraway store? –switching to cheaper ones at sporting stores? –too clunky? spotted this store in the ‘dro. went in to look around, daja vu: –didn’t bother me i wasn’t acknowledged. –single saleslady was busy with someone. –i was browsing/persuing some comforters. discovered they were women’s. oops! –men’s shoes mostly boots or miniboots, only a few sports types, comforters –range $ 99+, mostly $ 150+ moved on. doing fine with my rockports(90) i pick up when they go on sale.

They’re selection of composite boots is very limited… they had 3 pairs to choose from prices were ranged from $ 96, $ 130& $ 198. It takes a while for the boots for break it but once you do they are awesome! Insoles ranged from $ 15-$ 25.

Good inventory, knowledgeable salesperson, fast efficient service. Note: This is not really an average shoe store. Red Wing boots can be expensive and require some break-in time, as do all heavy leather boots. I suspect most shoppers know what they want when they shop here.

I have bought my shoes from this location for the past several years. Today was different, there was another customer the only sales woman was waiting on. As I was waiting she asked me if I had any questions, I said I need a pair of shoes. She snapped back with«i asked if you have any questions» I should have walked out at that moment, but i waited. When she was free to «help» me she started straighting up displays. I asked if she had my shoes in my size she said no. Just felt like she didn’t want to help me. I bought my shoes here before and never been treated like that.
