I was always more than certain that when the est 14th store and that one by kmart closed and they opened this one up that they would design this store to appear more pretty cosmetically and more appealing to those who don’t shop at thrift stores and that’s what they did. Now every time a goodwill remodels and designs the store to look like Ross they change everything about how they used to run things focusing on selling only target merchandise and name brand clothing that you can easily just go get at any department store. They roll out the racks from the back and the Filipinos and Blacks who work here go through the clothes one more time making sure nothing vintage or interesting makes its way to the sales floor and gets shipped off to South East Asia. This store fukkkkkn suuxxxx! The people who work here doing their suposid quality check don’t know what the fuck people into rock n roll and vintage shit like so they make this a straight up run of the mill dung heap holister and AeroCrombie outlet. Not in any way shape or form a traditional thrift store chock full of American artifacts of the past :(

Excellent customer service! I went there today to donate a wooden cabinet. I took it apart and made it easier for me when I went to donate it. It was heavy! I open my back trunk and start carrying it to the donation center. You see two employees texting on their phones and didn’t even say hi? At least acknowledge that you’re on break or lunch? They were sitting on a chair texting on their cell phones! Excellent customer service! I’m going to Saver’s and donate my stuff over there?

Lol this goodwill is ridiculous. I am going to stop going to Goodwills, this was the last straw. Goodwills suck, especially this location. I get this feeling that owner spends money to make money. In other words, owner go buy up merchandise at other stores and sells it at its own location with marked up prices. When you go to a thrift store you suppose to and should get the feeling of being inside of a indoor Fleamarket and not the feeling of being inside of a Target or Walmart. It’s pointless, why go to a thrift store and find the same stuff that’s at a major retailer and for similar prices! Avoid this location, you are not going to be impress when you have Thrift Town in San Leandro and Fremont and you have Eco on Mission in Hayward.

While it had a good amount of stock, I went in trying to find a used bike. There were two in an alright shape. The price? $ 80. I found the same problem at another thrift store. I can get a brand new bike for that price. No way am I paying more than half of that to buy used or from a thrift store.

This Goodwill Store is a joke!!! The little filipino manager there thinks he’s the shits or something!!! He belittles the other workers in front of customers, like he’s a big shot or something!!! He tries to make his workers fear him!!! This dude needs to come back to reality and realize he’s the manager of a Goodwill Store!!! This manager is just rude and a real bigggggg asshole!!! Goodwill’s upper management needs to get rid of this asshole, because his rudeness and unprofessional attitude is hurting business & causing bad employee morale. I do not recommend patronizing this business because of the unfriendly & rude attitude of the manager!!!

So I was bitter about the other two San Leandro Goodwill stores closing up shop and merging/moving into the former Blockbuster Greenhouse site. I can’t just forget the places that helped make my Dance Party Season 1 and 2 outfits so authentic. This new store is much smaller than the other two sites. The staff is younger and therefore a little less friendly(though my preschooler finds fans everywhere she goes.) But I got a shirt for the Pirate Fest in 15 minutes, no lie. As Victor G. mentioned, their book prices are a little higher than Salvation Army on A St. I suppose I could learn to like this store.

Goodwill is closing it’s 2 odor enchanced ‘dro stores and moving into this former blockbuster locale. so far the familiar goodwill scent hasn’t been relocated here. lots of parking, lots of retail space. associates friendly here. items looked neater here. as usual, checked out the books section. so far, the books are not categorized by subject but by alphabet. pricing is the usual 1.49, 1.99, 2.99, 3.99. by comparison, thrift stores and salvation sometimes sells titles cheaper. reads: «the way forward is with a broken heart», alice walker(1.49) loose leaf: –definitely will be back when i have spare time.
