This has got to be the cheapest material they can use. Saw a display at HomeDepot and there was a hole in it. The person at HomeDepot told me the material Re-Bath uses is so thin someone put their finger through it. I want to thank the people at HomeDepot for telling me not to buy. It’s just a cheap plastic wall coating.

With the state of my master bathroom, I cannot currently give this company more than 1 star. While the designer who came out was awesome, and the guys who were there initially to do work were really great, the fact remains that over a month after the actual remodel began, I still don’t have a master shower that I can use. Between me and the other person who lives in the house, we’ve taken countless vacation days and still don’t have a shower we can use. Today, someone came out, seemingly to finish, only to find out the actual shower door was installed incorrectly, and they can’t fix it today. The same person who diagnosed the problem today is someone who has been at the home and seen the shower 2 – 3 times. Now we have to wait until MONDAY for even just a call about options to repair what they did wrong in the first place. The master bathroom is teeny tiny, and I’ve been more than patient and understanding when Thanksgiving delayed the shower glass being delivered, and the glass being cracked when it did finally come in. I took a whole day off work a couple weeks ago for them to come at 9am, ALSO supposedly to finish the work, and they didn’t show up until after 2 pm. I am –this close– to sending them a bill for MY wasted time. I’ve been home and available this whole week for them to finish the job, and no one came until 1pm today and they barely did anything. I understand we’re not the only customers, but you would think they’d want to finish the job. I am not happy. I prefer leaving happy reviews for companies, but I also believe in being honest, and I will not be recommending this company to anyone as of today.

I’m a retired Engineer living in Fremont, CA. My house has 4 bath rooms and I decided to convert one of the bath rooms with tub into shower for grand kids and old age for safety and functionality. I get quotes from 3 different tub-converting contractors. One national chain will complete the conversion in one day with the lowest cost, the other in two days and re-bath took 2 to 3 days with the highest quote. After a careful evaluation, I decided to go with Re-bath because they offer the product that I want. I reviewed the Unilocal rating on all of them. Yes, every one has happy and unhappy customers. My decision factor is based on product, design and service. 1, The product — I want the shower has the good looking wall color — whole piece Granite pattern, a white corner seat(for up to 300 pounder), non-slippery pan with 1.5″ floor to edge heights, 2 shampoo shelf, 2 grab white bars(one 24″ in 45 degree, one 18″ vertical at the entry, 2 sliding bars(one at the shower had and the other near the corner bench for the handheld), window trims, shower slider, the right Valve(has separated temperature and water flow dial) and handheld,(I don’t like the builder installed Kohler valve which gave me a lot of trouble to get replacement parts, I had to pay $ 80 to buy the whole set just in order to get the leaking valve.). Re-bath has them all. 2, The design — A bath tub area is narrow and long. The idea shower space is better square shaped. But with proper design, such as adding a corner seat, with 2 panels sliding door to allow entry choice, the whole space must be well utilized. 3, The Service — This is an area that can have surprise. Remodel contractors may use contracted sales and labor. I want to make sure that the installers are their employees. To do a good job, the first day is to remove the old bath tub and prepare the new wall and re-plumbing. The 2nd day is to build the new wall, window trims, and place the pan, the 3rd day is to install the valve, accessories, and door. Every step must be done with experienced labor paying attention to details. You just can’t rush it. At least my installer Ed and his assistant are very good in providing suggestion on the best heights and location of those accessories with a good workmanship. I was a little worried that the salesman did not layout the detailed blue-print for the job. For example, the seat heights. I made study and decided a heights of 17″ from the seat edge to shower floor. Re-bath can install it from 16″ to 22″, for customer to decide it on the spot. Wow, not an easy decision to please every members in the family. Any way, I’m very pleased when the job is done. If I have to pick some area for improvement, I think the sales person can spend more time on the accessory and design options. Average people like me, I just don’t know what’s available. They should carry a set on photo of the jobs they did before, like landscaper. «A picture is more than a thousand words». I give them 5 stars they deserve on my personal experience.

I am very pleased with the service and quality of the project I have contracted. The staff has been very flexible with my project changes and changes to my start date(I changed these dates several times due to my scheduling); once again, prior to the final start I changed my design plans completely! The project designer was patient and supportive and continually supplied new materials for review that would best meet my ideals. Before we started, the owner came to my house one last time to review all the changes and to make sure I was secure with the project design. We stood at the sight of the remodel and physically reviewed each step that was to going to be completed and each option I had chosen. He brought the samples of the materials so that I was again sure of my choices and he walked me through the entire install from beginning to the end. Keeping in mind future needs and safety, he suggested several options that I had not thought of. Several of the additions I was not sure how they would look and the company brought the different options on the day of the install so that I could compare and choose which I like best. The company secured all of the permits and inspections needed and confirmed that they were scheduled, everything was very smooth and there were no problems. Several days before the install the office called and confirmed the dates and times the installers would be at my house for the project. On the day of the install, the employees were exactly on time, professional and courteous. As I expected, they reviewed the project with me and prepared the house for work, my floors were covered and dust barriers installed. Within hours, the walls were open, all old material removed and the plumbing updated. The city inspector was exactly on time and the installers began with the new materials. Throughout the day, the project manager would come by and even the owner of the store came by to check in with the project! Mine was a two-day project and at the end of the first day, the bathroom and floors were left clean and neat and the house did not reflect that any construction was taking place. I can honestly say that the installers worked tirelessly to make sure the project was organized and completed efficiently each day. I am very satisfied with the quality of the materials used and the workmanship. The project looks beautiful. The city planning office cautioned me to use a direct installer and I am so glad I took that advice! I know that if I should ever have a question, need additional work or if something should ever need to be re-addressed that I can rely on Re-bath to guarantee their work.

Watched the TV show Bay Area Bargains and had a quote in person … Biggest waste of time — put laminate over existing tiles $ 20k insulting to us and horrible quote for what little work is being put into the job. What an absolute horrible service I will not recommend to anyone and spread the word to those wanting to get quotes!!!

I had a bathroom with a bath tub only and wanted to have a shower head installed and tile or wall panels around the tub and shower door puut in as well. I called rebath for an estimate. A saleman came out and gave me an estimate for over $ 5,000. I had previous done some research on cost of materials and I could see based on that estimate labor was going to be over 50 to 60 percent of the total. Now that is labor for only one day since the promise everything would be done in one day. I thought that was extreme high markup for such a small job. I bought my own materials and hired a plumber to install the faucet and the bathroom culture marble panels and shower door was installed by a contract installer that works with the marble company. It took several overs over three days but total cost was $ 2400. It looks beautiful and I saved a bundle of money.
