I love this place! This is one of my go to places for breakfast. The krabby Benedict is good. I also like how they have smaller breakfast plates for $ 6-$ 7. This way I don’t forge myself. The food is always yummy and the décor is interesting. Definitely feels like a neighborhood country diner.

I really like this place for good food at reasonable price. Not today. Graciously greeted & seated right away after walking in. Ordered a omelette with home potatoes & toast. The potatoes were fried but, tasted old like day old. The way the potatoes were fried may have to do with the taste. Cut potatoes, red onions, bell peppers & celery. No taste from seasonings. Like I said old tasting. The omelette was bland. I finished my toast & coffee though. Better luck next time not sure when…

Super bomb food me and my family have been coming here for years we meet the previous owner and the current owner and they became really good friends with my parents. Staff can use a bit of work but over all I’m basing this on the portion of the food and the taste. If you like chicken fried steak this is the place plus ask for spicy sauce but not the bottle kind they have a sauce called«salsa casera» and mix it in with your eggs and hash browns and its so delish!!!

Waste of money! The biscuits and gravy biscuits were hard to chew(very dry) and so were the waffles. Both very dry and hard to chew. I couldn’t finish my meal. I would not recommend to go here. And if I could I’d give no star.

Happy we stopped for breakfast — very nice waitress & great service. Denver omelet was delicious. I appreciate the cleanliness of the restroom for customers.

DIRTY– Do not eat here The food looked so good when it arrived only to find hair and fuzz all over my bacon. Their excuse was that«the chef wipes the grill with a rag». Which is even more disgusting jn my opinion cause that means theyre doing this regularly and idk how dirty that rag must be. It clearly wasnt the first time they had this problem. To make up for it, they offered me more bacon… lol no thanks.

This place was a gem! We were seated quickly & had drink orders placed within seconds. We had a few minutes to look over the menu & the server got our orders in and we received our food really quickly. I got the french toast combo and my fiancé got the biscuits and gravy. So satisfied! We were fortunate to miss the rush before us and as we were leaving there was a large party going in. If you can time it perfectly this place is a go-to for brunch.

It’s a good basic breakfast joint. I just wish they would get the plates hot. A cold plate just sucks all the heat out of your breakfast. It may arrive hot, but before you are 15% through(and I’m not a slow eater) it’s cold. They also need better jelly selection-at least strawberry. All they have is bad grape jelly and mixed fruit jelly. Need preserves of some kind as an option.

First and last time coming to Peltons, I order the #2 breakfast with a side if grits, my order came minus the hash browns and everything was cold. I informed the waitress my food was cold and that I would like a hot breakfast they put it in the microwave and it came back so hard the bacon was like cardboard, the eggs unpalatable… So no stars only tip given make sure your customer is satified with what they are paying for

This is an awesome little restaurant! We came here around lunch time while on vacation. Being on a gluten-free diet, I didn’t expect there would be much I could choose from. I ended up making my own little breakfast out of sides which included a bowl of oatmeal, a side of hash browns, and two sausage patties. My mom ordered the linguisa omelette. Everything was really delicious! The bowl of oatmeal was way bigger than I expected so my mom had to help me finish it. The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff was really friendly. It’s a little small, but there are plenty of table and there’s also a breakfast bar at which you can sit. We ended up spending $ 30 for the two of us.

The Pelton Café is one of those out of the way places that anyone outside of San Leandro would never even know exists. Which is part of its charm; the restaurant has a pleasant, old-fashioned feel as a result, frequented by locals and regulars almost exclusively. Its interior is adorned with farmhouse bric-à-brac that serves as a nice nod to San Leandro’s roots as an agricultural town. This was my second time coming in for breakfast(at almost two in the afternoon, lol), and my party and I were seated right away. Again, Pelton Café is cozy, small town fare, so that either will or won’t be your cup of tea-something to keep in mind before planning a trip. I personally can go either way. The waitress quickly came and took our orders and it was off to the races. I ordered Breakfast #3, which came with three eggs, a nice chunk of ham, and two pancakes. It was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the pancakes were in that nirvana-zone of texture and sweetness that all great pancakes should strive for. My only complaint was that none of the three of us who ordered the #3 were ever offered or given the juice and(or? Not totally clear) coffee that’s supposed to come with the meal. At almost $ 11 a pop per meal, it was still a generous amount of food, but that sort of oversight is never a good thing. Definitely recommend this place to all breakfast fans, regardless.

I have been here for breakfast only. For breakfast there are a lot of filling options. I tried the Eggs Florentine with grits, or classic eggs, bacon, and hash browns. You won’t be hungry for hours. Food arrives pretty quick, and we order food to go, for trapped office workers that are in need of food. For a classic breakfast place, I would recommend it. Simple and affordable food, you can’t miss.

This is a very quaint and somewhat kitschy café on the edge of downtown San Leandro. Portions are hearty and prices are fair! Quality-wise, this place serves your standard diner fare — a bit greasy and a bit salty but it hits the spot if that’s what you’re craving. It’s just hard to get a seat in the somewhat small restaurant during the popular brunch hours on Saturday and Sunday, so plan accordingly.

Got to this place and was already glad we choose here… because I saw the special for 4.99 for 2 egg home potatoes(or you can get hashbrowns) toast and bacon(or u can get ham or sausage) … we sat down they immediately attended to us …and brought us our drinks. The coffee was good and hot! The food was prepared fast and tasted excellent and fresh. We will defiantly return. I only gave four stars because our server didn’t smile but was accurate, fast and attentive… way to go!!! can’t wait to get another waffle mmmmm so good!

In short: Tasty. Cheap. Basic. Not too oily. Does the job. I’ll be back. We ordered some omelets. They were good. Hash browns were crunchy on the outside. House potatoes were a unique recipe(lots of celery) and good. Some things that I thought were acceptable, but others might disagree about were: American cheese was default, the coffee was what you’d expect in a truck stop or basic diner, the toast was super cheap discount bread.

Hmmm… I’m stuck between 3 and 4 stars… I think I’ll go with 3 for now, cause it was a good, but basic, breakfast, and it leaves them room to grow. The details: Small café/diner, and it smells really good inside. Write your name on the list with the number of people in your group, and wait outside. When a table or counterspace is clear, they’ll go down the list. We ended up with a spot at the counter. I went with two halves of French toast, and it was probably some of the best French toast I’ve had. I also got a side of home fries that were just okay. My boyfriend got the corned beef hash breakfast with scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. He liked it except for the hashbrowns which he thought were under cooked. Price was $ 15 and change before tip. Service was good and fast.

This place was okay. I probably wouldn’t come back unless I’m closeby and super hungry. There was way too much cheese in my omelette, I ended up picking it all out(*sigh). I also never add any extra salt or pepper to my meals, but sadly, this had to be done here. My friend agreed, so it definitely just wasn’t all in my head. So, not a bad place to stop by, but just mediocre food. Prices are good though! Wish I could give this place more stars because the staff was so nice! Only downfall was that they calculated our bill wrong, but fixed it when we noticed.

They used to be my go-to breakfast place when I was too lazy to do anything on my own on weekends. :) Their food is solid, but nothing to be too excited about(you can’t really miss with eggs and something to go with them). The staff is very friendly and fast, but the lines are long. Especially on Saturdays and Sundays(you might have to wait outside or just come back later). Come very early in the morning or really late(an hour before closing or so) to avoid the rush hour(and too much noise). You also have the option of ordering ahead and just coming in to pick it up. The price/value is okay. If you don’t want to cook on a weekend(they close at 2pm-3pm), then this is a place to get your breakfast/brunch.

Hearty, homey good breakfast. Came in alone on a Saturday morning. Although they offered a booth seat, I sat at the counter to allow a group to have that choice. Ordered right away being a person of habit; coffee, water, egg white scrambled, rye toast with home potato. Less than five minutes later my meal came out. Pretty fast and friendly service. Presentation of food, ok, but the overall flavor, delicious. The rye bread they have, exactly my style. The potatoes were seasoned right with bell pepper, onions, and celery. Total cost: egg platter $ 5.99(+.fifty for egg white) bottomless coffee $ 2.25 Not many care for bathroom reviews except for me. But if you’re curious they have two clean but small, restroom– gender specified.
