This is a great spot for a weekday afternoon bite, as you have got to eat outside on their deck area overlooking the creek. It’s gorgeous outside. The times I’ve been here I’ve ordered their jalapeño cheese bagels along with their scones. CHOCOLATECHIPSCONE! Sweet, flaky, and filling. Staff are okay, quick to prepare the food — and the bagels with their spreads are great. They get very busy in the AM, so I usually pop in for an afternoon bite during my lunch break.

Best bagel ever had. It’s close by my house and this is my go to spit every Sunday for breakfast. The service is fast no long waits.

Checked this place out on Saturday morning as I was craving a bagel. They had a standard assortment of bagels and spreads. I got an Everything bagel and it was decent, had a little too much salt but no big deal. However, they are super cheapo when it comes to the spreads, there was just a thin, thin layer and most of it got absorbed by the bread. Boo! But what really got me was how rude the ladies were. I’m not expecting to be treated like a prince, or even a good friend but damn, at least be nice and maybe smile. And for that, hell nah am I going back to this place! I really wish there was a Bagel Street Café in the neighborhood, they’d shut this place down in a hearbeat! #DeadEndStreetBagels

Went here one morning because I didn’t want fast food. Well… that’s what I got anyway but worse. Not for me. Won’t ever go back. Hope it gets better.

In the area with friends who knew about this little gem of a place. Inside the bagels are in a case, labeled well and showing off all their yumminess. I had the egg bagel with egg and cheese. Service was fast and friendly! We sat out back on a charming little deck area surrounded by lush greenery. This is a perfect place to sit and enjoy your breakfast while getting to take in a little nature. A very enjoyable breakfast experience for sure!

November 22, 2015 Sunday — 9:15AM for breakfast 4 adults Atmosphere — 4 star Food — 5 stars Service — 3 stars Background — Our friends picked this place out. Atmosphere — A dive bagel place, who knew that they existed. The bagels are on display and easily seen and labeled. Food — Meal — I had the #3 bagel sandwich on an egg bagel. The bagel was really good. Eggs and bacon were cooked well. Service — So I learned the trick about the menu, use the picture menu board as it has numbers next to the item and you order with the number. I thought our item was up as you would think the food would come out in order. Well the lady after us was next, and one of the male employees was helping her carry it to her table. Clearly his English skills were very poor. To get her to go to her table, he yelled«Go Go Go». Future — Yes the bagels were good.

Awful service and rude staff! I’ll never go back. Simply asked for a small hot chocolate to be split for my small kids and the woman handed me a plastic cup that would melt making it dangerous for my kids. When I asked for an extra paper cup she said NO even though I was placing a big order. No way stay away from this place and better off going to Starbucks for service with a smile!

Best tuna sandwich ever!!! Been coming here since 2002 and honey I go many places but always end up here when I’m craving tuna on a cheese bagel with cream cheese with tomato, onion, cucumber, lettuce and a pickle on the side.

Great for lunch, I love the sandwiches. Usually a very small wait time. The variety is a plus too. I haven’t had a sandwich I didn’t enjoy.

Ever since stumbling upon Einstein Bro Bagels, the Nova Lox literally changed my life and my tastebuds. Granted hoebags had a variation of it, but I mean Nova Lox brings a whole new meaning to smoked salmon. I was Unilocaling around San Leandro for a bagel shop that served lox in general and found out Main Street did just the thing! I strolled in Saturday morning before an intensive library study date to fill my empty stomach with brain fuel. The lox bagel(6) comes with cream cheese, cucumbers, onions, capers, and LOX. For what it is, the price actually wasn’t bad at all. I only wanted the lox so I opted for cream cheese and lox(still paid the same price). It was delicious, a couple thin layers of lox and it wasn’t skimpy. With every bite, I got a good amount of cream cheese to lox ratio! I was super satify with it. I came in and tried the bagel with lox spread(3.25) thinking that it was something like the one I’ve had at a different shop. It’s literally cream cheese with pieces of lox mixed it. I had hopes for like chives and some herbs/flavors in there, but it’s literally cream cheese with lox spread. I was disappointed, and would probably pay the extra for the real thing. Overall, it’s a cute little place in San Leandro with a great variety of bagel selection. They run out early, so don’t be picky if you make it in there after 10am! There’s their house bagel dog, among many other offerings you have to be there to see it! Super wide selection of flavors and toppings. You can order by the dozen + cream cheese for under $ 20 or so(I think) like you do at Noah’s. You order and don’t pay until your order is ready. There’s a cute patio space outside to eat, and indoor seating. Parking is street and metered!

Why is it oddly cathartic to be treated rudely and abruptly at places like this? Haha. Something about it makes the experience feel authentic, and you’ll definitely get that here. The food’s decent though, and with the proximity to the freeway you’d never guess there’s a quaint little patio in the back that overlooks a creek. Not a place I’d seek out if I was a local, but works well for a quick roadside bite if you’re hungry and don’t have time for a sit-down meal.

This little hidden jewel will amaze those whom love vietnamese coffee and breakfast items(their mocha is not up to Paar though) The morning rush can be a tid bit overwhelming for their staff; but no matter what they give you(if it is your order or someone else’s, it’s guaranteed to come out delicious) always check your order! These older vietnamese women do a great job, yet they are not perfect ;) Try the large vietnamese iced coffee, it will leave you craving for more !

Not the best service, but decent bagels! Just what I was craving. Kinda bummed there wasn’t too many bagel options left but blueberry was good regardless

I’ve been here 2x’s in the past month. Want to know what’s got me all excited about Main Street Bagels? Jalpeño-bagel-dog. *poof* Mind blowing. Spicy, meaty… carb loaded goodness. Try it. Service is quick(they warm up the dog for your eating enjoyment) and perhaps they’re growing on me. Scones are large and also out of this world – balance off the fuego in my mouth after the jalapeño dog.

I’m sorry, but a bagel is not just bread in a ring. These fluffy, bland pieces of bread aren’t bagels. Nice place, pretty setting on the creek, but the things they sell just aren’t bagels.

I love this place! It’s local, fresh, and right by the creek so you can enjoy your bagel outdoors! First off — if you want a certain type of bagel you better get here early! I’ve gone around 11am before and they were out of a lot of varieties but they are quick to bake more deliciousness for their patrons. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is simply perfect. I tend to get their lox bagel sandwich on either a wheat or plain bagel. They top the stack of lox and cream cheese with tomato, cucumber, onion, pickles, and capers but I have them take the capers off — gross salty things! That’s just my opinion though! :] The parking is plenty along the street and it does fill up during the weekend mornings. So come down to San Leandro and make your morning breakfast local!

I really like this Bagel Shop. Main Street Bagel is busy in the morning when they get the breakfast crowd who flock in for the fresh home made bagels every day. There is a fine selection of bagels and toppings. It is family owned and run so I enjoy having the high level of service they consistently provide. The price is right and the breakfast bagel sandwiches with egg and bacon are always filling and good. Even with a long line I never wait more than about two minutes to order my bagels. They are friendly and remember me and when we have not been there in some time they always ask, «Where have you been?» They are extremely fast. Usually when it is busy at peak times on the weekend they have at least five attendants assisting them behind the counter, almost to the point of comedy since they are so fast they end up bumping into one another quite a bit when the bagels are flying out of there! It can be a bit noisy and crazy but worth it for a quick take out brunch. I do go on occasion for lunch mainly to eat out back when the weather is sunny. They have a few tables, a water feature and a nice view of the creek out back. They have a very good following of locals and regulars for good reason. I hope this Bagel shop sticks around for many more years!

Came here this morning and had an enjoyable experience! The place is quaint. No frills, but gets the job done. The bagel selection was quite large(I was here at 7am, so I’m sure they hadn’t had enough time to run out yet lol). I was surprised at the number of items on the menu, too.

My favorite breakfast here is the Jalapeño Cheese Bagel with Egg and Bacon! The bits of jalapeño in the bagel add a nice spiciness to the sandwich. No need for hot sauce! It’s a hearty sandwich, so it will keep you satiated for a few hours. They have at least 15 different kinds of bagels and other pastries such as croissants, Danishes, muffins, scones and breakfast pizzas. They are all made on the premises, so they are fresh. The pastries are on the sweeter side – sweeter than I prefer so I get the savory stuff here. You can also choose from a variety of coffee drinks and cold drinks to go with your food. On weekends we come here sometimes to have lunch. My usual for lunch is the tuna melt on a jalapeño cheese bagel. It’s a good value at around $ 6. They give you a side of pasta or macaroni salad with your sandwich. They have a deck at the back where you can sit and enjoy your lunch. It overlooks a creek. Nice area to get your Vitamin D in the morning!

Was in a rush to make it back to L.A. and ended up winning the debate with my wife to stop in here. I was immediately attracted to the pizza bagel and the hot dog bagel. Just had to have them. The line moved pretty quick and the Nor. Cal. customers standing in line were kind and made conversation with each other. I finally got to try the bagels after they were warmed up and enjoyed them very much. I wish I wasn’t driving though, hard to eat a pizza bagel while navigating the highway. I hope that I can find something similar to this in Los Angeles because I want to expand my bagel(eating) expertise.
