Was Rolling by KKB and noticed they had a Roast Pig hanging so I stopped and ordered a Pound of it. I love Roast Pig so I had to try theirs to see if I liked it. I found the Meat to be Tender, Succculent and Flavorful. Three Thumbs up for their Roast Pig.

I’ve been working in this hood for 4 weeks. I came here 3X for steamed buns. Arrived once at 9:00am. That was a mistake. They filled my order with the previous day’s pork BBQ steam bun that had the consistency of Elmer’s glue and paper. The shark fin shui mai was a little better at 2:00 pm. But not much. Red Bean bun was too pasty. Average cost per item is $ 1.50. AND I’ve had way better buns in San Fran for lower prices. PASS!

Dim sum was not good. I ordered Har Gow(shrimp dumpling), and they gave me some, along with some dumplings that had tuna casserole filling(canned tuna with peas). They offered the tuna dumplings, because they were didn’t have many shrimp dumplings left. I must have misunderstood, because I thought she was offering chive dumplings. The dough on the dumpling were dry, which was, an indication to me they were not fresh. Also the filling was pasty, and not hot. I was disappointed, because I went here about six months ago, and the quality was good then. Fresh, not pasty, or cold, and dry dumplings. Although, I do remember their buns, mostly baked, lacked filling. The buns were also rather dry. At that time they also had an unusual Taro mochi, which they didn’t have the second time. I did enjoy that, and was disappointed tonight when they didn’t have any, except for the red bean variety. The red bean mochi tasted stale, I won’t be coming back again.
