Long lines and they don’t have hand baskets. Also, they don’t care if they get bad reviews.

Nice store. I went with my uncle to get some groceries we needed for the day. I would say the place is a little dirty. I’ve been here some other times, but this time it just made me feel uncomfortable. Some spaces are very reduced and people can bump each other. It has a variety of good stuff! Like Mexican sweets and goodies I don’t see nowhere else. It’s an okay

Food Maxx is always hit or miss on food and prices. I really hate when they advertise to have the lowest prices but when I ask if they price match with Safeway they say no. I always shop here first because I do find that most of the items on my grocery list are cheaper, some I refuse to buy here when I can find it cheaper elsewhere. Like individual drinks, cereal, juice jugs. Sometimes their fruit is great as far as quality and price. And sometimes it is not so great. Same with the meat. I just wish I had consistent visits. Lines are always long. Cashier’s are as nice as they could be. I hate their belt when bagging groceries, everything gets pushed together at the end when I’m not bagging fast enough for the cashier. I really hate the layout. When I forget something in produce I have to walk all the way back around. But we keep coming back.

One star, negative stars if possible, for customer service… more like lack of customer service. I went in today and as I was checking out at the ’20 items or less’ cashier, Gidele(I think that’s her name since she had her badge turned around I got the name from the receipt) was extremely rude! She had already started ringing up my items when halfway through she decides to move the previous customer’s cart, which he put off to the side, outside. Since she had started ringing up my items I had already pushed my cart halfway down the aisle. Gidele curtly, almost yelling, tells me to move my cart through. At the moment I didn’t get why she was telling me to move my cart; when I didn’t move fast enough she grabs my cart shoves it to the end of the aisle and then proceeds to take the other cart outside. When she comes back she just tosses my items onto the conveyor belt and when she tells me the total there was no eye contact and was very curt. It was odd since a few customers prior she was super nice and give the kids in the cart some treats. I don’t know what FoodMaxx’s hiring process is but they need to re-evaluate it or they need keep an eye on their workers to make sure they understand the concept of customer service.

no more than one star for worst attitude always at late time, cause the cashier he doesn’t like people buy a lot of stuff and he call this dumb i think he is that, bro do your job no body need to listen to your complain every night, this place used to be 24⁄7 but now closes at 1 am, try to buy party stuff chips, etc but when you go for the cashier be ready for the worst attitude ever, i got him on video cause that is the fourth time,

I hate that Food Maxx locations make you start at a certain point and have you walk the entire store to get out again. Especially when what I need is right by the register, uhhg. Luckily the guards usually don’t mind me walking in through the out door! This location is always well stocked in every aisle, and usually has some good sales/cheaper prices going on to beat the competition. I frequent here for party stuff — chips, soda, beer — prices are always fair and keep me coming back! I appreciate that they always have at least 5 registers open for the constant flow of customers, especially since people buy bulk here and may have up to three carts! Employees are usually great and will talk you up throughout the transaction, never had a complaint here before. Make sure to watch for the basket(s) of clearance stuff they keep by the registers!

I’m giving one star for customer service. There’s a African American little girl that works there that is extremely rude. My bf and I were in there a few weeks ago checking out and she didn’t ask us if we had bags or didn’t even acknowledge us and proceeded to just toss our groceries in the basket then when my bf said something to her she just gave us a nasty look and didn’t bother to accommodate us at all. Then as we were walking out my bf looked back and she was still staring giving us nasty looks. Also, I just went shopping again there today and I seen her in the parking lot pushing carts as I was putting my food in the car I was watching her. She was giving people dirty looks as they drove by and when I left she looked right in my car and gave me a dirty look. She acts like she hates her job and she has ZERO customer service skills. Who hires someone like that! It makes your store look bad! She needs to be talked to about her attitude or find a job where she doesn’t work with the public.

One star for the customer service. Didn’t appreciate the attitude the tiny little old ass lady gave me. Wish I caught her name she had brown hair and bangs and was the size of a 12 year old. She had me really fucked up tonight. Fire her foreal.

This is not your average supermarket, it is more a discount store. Compared to Safeway, it is cheaper but doesn’t have all items you would expect at a grocery store. It has large quantities of food, and is clean. Great place to stop if you’re off to work and realized you don’t pack a lunch.

This place is not your«normal» grocery store. They do not carry certain brands because this is more of a discount grocery store. They have great deals on essential items you would have at home like fruits/vegetables, meats, and dry or canned goods. Their meat selection is pretty good and you have to keep in mind that brands you may find at Safeway aren’t sold here. The layout is a little different but it reminds me a little of Costco the way it’s laid out. The store brand items are just as good as the name brand items, you can save some money that way. I rarely find all natural or organic items here, again I don’t expect to, which is hard for me since I don’t like processed foods/weird ingredients I cannot pronounce. This place is great if you need to do some shopping but aren’t in the market to drop a lot of money on groceries. Lines are usually long but they are always busy. There is plenty of parking and carts are plentiful as well.

You cant complain when you get groceries at a discount! Everything is cheaper here than safeway and its the same exact thing! I feel like they have more of a variety aswell. My only complaint is that this store is really big. Sometimes when I just want to get one specific item, I have to walk through a maze of other things in order to get to it.

My neighborhood Food Maxx is not my regular grocery stop but it’s my go-to on those workday mornings when I realize I have nothing decent in the freezer for my daughter’s lunch and I want to get a better deal on Lunchables or if I need a can of El Pato sauce or the Morningstar soy sausages are on sale or I need chips for a potluck. It’s a a place for bargains and with that you may have to deal with a winding floor plan. My biggest gripe are the long lines but these can be avoided if you visit early in the morning or when the 15 items or less line is open(limited hours: 11 to 3?)

This grocery store has the best prices around. I like this location. In a populated area of town. Near walmart and in n out. Has good amount of options. Meat selections are kind of lacking. And there seafood section is weak. Wish they had a fresh deli. But for your average shopper it’s a good place to go. It’s open 24⁄7 and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Food Maxx reminds me of Food 4 Less. It has a kind of windy set-up that forces you to walk a certain path through the store. I’ve never been able to figure out why a store would have that kind of floor plan, other than maybe to discourage shoplifting. We went to Food Maxx just after going to Wal-Mart. I did some comparison shopping, and Food Maxx seemed to be a little cheaper, especially on the items that Food Maxx had on sale. They also had a decent selection. No gourmet items or anything and limited fresh herbs, but more than what you would find at a Super Wal-Mart. I don’t think this will be my first choice for groceries, though it’s fairly close to us. I prefer to spend a little extra for a wider variety of fresh herbs and spices and the ability to choose which ever path I want through the store.

I really like this Foodmaxx since I live right down the street from it. I want to give it more stars but I couldn’t. The Foodmaxx prices are really cheap. If I have to buy groceries, I would go here for the price(unless I want to buy a lot, then I go to Costco). What stopped me from putting more stars is that this Foodmaxx isn’t that clean. However, they have some cleaning wipes right outside the entrance if you want to clean down the handles of your cart. Though this isn’t the cleanest Foodmaxx, I’ve been coming here since I was little and still am while I’m in San Lorenzo. The prices and convenience of the location is great and the workers are friendly. Pros: — Cheap prices — Great location, next to 880 and located in Greenhouse Shopping Center Cons: — Not that clean — Parking lot can be a little dark at night

A large enterprise chain open 24 hours? Pretty clutch if you need something late at night. The food prices are much better than the neighboring Safeway, but the quality is a little lackluster. They make up for it in variety; they just have endless aisles. PROTIP: The line is long and they are always understaffed, so allocate your time accordingly.

3 stars cause they’re Giant fans. –2 because its dirty. This Food Maxx however is way better than the Hayward location. Hayward location is hella ghetto and they have birds flying around. Like real live pigeons from the street flying around inside. and other pigeons and chicken-heads gettin hyphy at the check out stand for late night beer runs. Avoid Hayward Food Maxx if you cans.
