Elegant Hair & Nails by Lannie

I always receive quality service here while getting my eyebrows waxed. Lannie is always friendly and fast and engaging. One thing that might put people off from this location is the tedious parking and outdated products and the reason for my 2 stars off.

This was my first time here to get a hair cut. I usually go to the salon down the street from Lannie, but today my usual salon was closed. So I walked into Lannie’s store and was immediately greeted by all the employees and felt very welcomed. Since this was the first time I had my hair cut by Lannie she was extremely patient and took the time to show me different options and provided suggestions. Lannie was efficient and detailed while cutting my hair; she did a fabulous job! I loved the attention to details she had during the entire process. She was friendly and kept me engaged in conversation during the whole time I was there. Now I have two salons in San Leandro that I really like! Yay! Thanks Lannie!

I go to Lannie once a month for my nails and periodically my eyebrows. Lannie does an excellent job each and every time. The prices are competitive and fair. Lannie is a business woman who cares about her customers. My sister recommended Lannie to me and I would recommend Elegant Hair & Nails by Lannie to anyone in need of the services.

Payed $ 12 for getting my eyebrows tweezed and waxed. Lannie did an unprofessional job she left a bunch of hair without removing left my eyebrows literally the same when I saw myself in the mirror I thought inside my head that I could’ve done a better job myself. Not worth it not going back that’s for sure.

I was in a rush to get my nails done and was desperate. I went to Lannie around 5pm… and they told me that they didnt have time… and then later change their mind and said they can do it. I just wanted to do a simple french tip fast. Normally I go to Champion Salon but my girls was super busy =) so i figure since i just wanted to get something simple ill just try it out. So when i first sat down with this one lady and then i asked them what time they close and they said 7pm. Then the lady asks me why did i asks. Like oh gosh, i cant even asks them what time they close? Then Lannie took over and she was quick… she asks me why did I decided to come in to her shop. I literally wanted to tell her to just stop because this was the dumbest question ever. Do I really need a reason why? and I said well I just came in and see if you guys can take me or not, and she said «You just wanted to take a risk?» Its like lady, how am I suppose to respond back to you? Especially you doing my nails, and she said well just to let you know «I’m good at what I do, i been doing this for 30years»…ugh okay that’s a good thing. Then she asks me whats wrong with all the nails shop I went to? Like are you serious? I wanted to tell her that my girls was busy and they are super friendly and talented… i regret not even waiting… but I just told her that I am in a rush… and figure since its french tip nothing can go wrong… She was really rude. She would just grab my fingers put too much pressure to it. Damn I regret not walking out. Simple french tip with one coat of gel…$ 34 bucks. Smh. I would never go back.

Excellent service and quality work. I absolutely love my nails & eyebrows! This is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone in serious need of a good place to go.
I only see Lannie but everyone there was very nice.

THREE BIG MISTAKES:
1. Had hot-​oil treatment on my hair… Lannie did not know how to do it and did it anyways. She messed up my hair so bad that it came to be so oily greasy that she had to rinse it THREE TIMES. Then later explained to me that she hadn’t done it in a while and that I had to pay extra for the three rinses. She messed up my hair then CHARGED ME EXTRA! I had to wash my hair like crazy at home for two weeka just to get it back to its normal condition. HOW CAN SOMEONE MESS UP SOMETHING SO SIMPLE AS AN HOTOIL TREATMENT?
2. I had my eyebrows tweezed and waxed here by LANNIE herself that very same day. She accidentally left a bunch of hairs into my eyes and as her worker try to brush it off, she whispered to them «don’t do it because it will make you look unprofessional» in vietnamese (assuming that I couldn’t understand). Well, I was wearing contacts and Lannie left me to my irritating then swollen eyes.
3. If you are a regular customer, you would know that her staff are ever-​changing. It’s no wonder that her staff keeps quiting, she is such a terrible person! Very calculative and manipulative.
If you want a better service, go down a couple of steps and hit at Betty’s Nails & Spa. They do a better job and cheaper prices! At the very least, there are no extra hidden fees, they will tell you beforehand if there is.
Buyer beware.

I come here to get my eyebrows waxed. I only let Lannie, the owner do them because she does an excellent job!
the other staff tried to do it one time and messed up my eyebrows, Lannie was not happy.
