Went for my birthday& lemme tell you it was sooooo good!!! Due to my kids acting up we had to take everything to go. Ordered 2 pounds of shrimp spicy Cajun style, 1 pound of crawfish Cajun style, garlic noodles, & fried shrimp. The garlic noodles wasn’t so good tho… Wish seafood wasn’t so expensive cause we would’ve bought so much more lol. Spent about $ 80 something in total. Just writing this is making me hungry lol

All this positive review is probably from families and friends… or people who have never been to kickin crab, crab hut, and boiling crab… This place is by far the worse! I came here excited because of all the positive reviews… and I got slapped in the face! We ordered chicken and waffles, lobster roll that comes with fties, 1 lb of shrimp mild with house Cajun. and added on 2 corn and 6 Sauage, and garlic noodles… Chicken was dry and the ranch didn’t taste like ranch. the waffles was saggy, the syrup was however warm so that was a little good… 12.99 The lobster roll did not have any taste to it at all, the fries came out cold and it wasn’t the best along with the coleslaw which has an after taste… 17.99 The Cajun shrimp sauce was so soupy and not saucy… and didn’t taste anything like cajun. corn was good, and the sausages was good…19.49 The garlic noodles did not taste like garlic… it’s missing alot of garlic. 6.99 Steam rice 1.95 get the heck out of here with that price! For a small bowl as well… The pineapple mango drink was like 5 bucks for a glass… which didn’t taste bad. Let’s not talk about the service… it was slow. and for a place that didn’t have ANY customer… get it together… Nothing here was worth coming back. dont waste your money! I rather drive 30 minutes to get the real thing in Milpitas or San Jose or heck. I’ll wait until I go back to San Diego… geeze this place was just so disappearing what a waste of 75 bucks… If you walk in and no one is inside. it’s a sign to turn away and find something else you wouldn’t be disappointed in…

Went here for dinner last night and so glad I did! This place is amazing! Had a pound of shrimp with corn on the cob, sausage and potatoes all mixed together inside a plastic bag, sooo good with lots of flavor! Also, you can pick the level of spicey~ness This is very unique & happening place our waiter was awesome. If you love seafood you must eat here. Be prepared for a messy, yummy meal, no table cloth, plates, or utensils required, sweeeet!

Me and my BFF researched restaurant in san leandro and came across this one. Wasn’t familiar with this street so i googled. Even with a GPS I still passed up this restaurant… twice. lol This small restaurant was located inside a small plaza. Me and my BFF was greeted by a young gentleman who smiled and told us to sit anywhere we liked. We arrived around 6pm. The place was empty. Small flat screen hung from the cilling for entertainment. I ordered side of rice and garlic shrimp with sangria. The young man asked if we wanteda bib and gloves. I requested a bib… last thing i wanted was to smell fishy. lol anyway when my order arrived it was dropped off in a clear plastic bag. I wasn’texpecting that. My side of a small bowel of rice arrived later. I looked inside the bag to see huge shrimps with shell and eyeballs still attached. I looked at my friend and laughed. Gloves please! We said we would Try new things. Anyway, after removing shell, legs and eye balls the food was actually good. I played it safe with the sauce and later asked for a spicy dipping sauce. Meal came to about $ 20. I could see myself returning.

I only had the Cajun wings that I didn’t care for the hubby had the Garlic butter medium shrimp no head and he said it doesn’t compare to the flavor of rockin crawfish. Glad we tried it, I think we will still be making the trip down to Oakland for some shrimp and wings aha

What happened? They changed owner? When it first opened it was amazing but the last 2xs were a letdown. The clams used to be huge and juicy. This time it was over cooked and super small. Don’t bother ordering the mussels… I made it specific that if it is not fresh I don’t want it. OMG it was worse than the frozen ones! I usually love the shrimp here but they’ve been overcooking it! The flavor is pretty good but please stop overcooking all my food.

Great food, superb service! Came here a few times and have been treated well every single time by different servers. The owner and servers are really friendly and everything that I’ve had here is good. Highly recommend. They always give me that mango pineapple drink for free when I leave too. It’s good to finally have a local crawfish spot because I was tired of driving to Oakland or the South Bay. Thank you to everyone at Craw Station for exceptional service and good food!

The reason i give this place 2 stars because my first time here was great. But last night i and my bf aet here, after that we ordered 2 pounds of crawfish to go for my aunty, there were worms in the crawfish. It was so disgusting. I called them around 9:45 pm but no one answered. We threw away all the crawfishes. I dont wanna make a big deal but im not sure if i can come back here to eat crawfish ! I attach a picture. So disgusting !

Nommmmms!!! Love this location because there is no wait unlike the sf one. The food tastes consistent with the other location which is good! I always order the shrimp and crawfish, house Cajun dynamite style and a side of garlic noodles. The shrimp and noodles were delishhh but the crawfish was not fresh and over cooked. That was the reason I took one star off. Other than that, service was wonderful and quick! Oh oh oh! The deep fried ores are a must!!!

I was surprised to find a Cajun restaurant nearby with high marks. So my wife and I dropped in for dinner. First the young but inexperienced servers need to focus. After taking out drink order. He went on to something else and we had to ask a different server for our drinks. The same thing happened to a group of seven. I ordered the crawfish Louisiana boil and my better half ordered the shrimp boil. These are humongous. Comes with generous mains and sausage corn and potatoes. Enough food for two per boil. We counted more than 30 shrimp. The crawfish are huge. Not like the ones you get in NOLA. So flavor isn’t the same and disappointing. The chicken and waffles looked great. Sangria is quite good. We’ll be back but will try their other offerings. Portion size 5 stars service 3.5, food quality-4 stars.

After ALOT of searching on Unilocal today to ultimately satisfy my craving, I decided to try out this place. Despite the bad reviews, I figured I would give it a try . My son and I came for a little date night around 6 pm, the place was about half full and we were seated right away. We tried the mango pineapple drink that everyone is raving about, it tasted similar to kerns but was thinner and fresher. There was actually chunks of fresh fruit, it was quite satisfying . We then ordered a pound of the shrimp which was market price of $ 15.99, a little higher than most places but worth it. I specifically went for the Cajun sauce but the server was pretty honest about how spicy it was(5⁄10) on a spice scale, which would be too spicy for my 4 year old. They were unable to split the order in half so we got the whole pound in the garlic butter sauce but the server was able to bring me a whole bowl of the Cajun mild sauce. The Cajun in mild was VERY spicy but VERYGOOD!!! My son was able to enjoy the garlic butter and I was able to add shrimp to my side of sauce, we were both completely satisfied. In addition to the shrimp we got 2 sides of corn and rice. The corn was surprisingly firm, which is unusual as most crab boils consist of soggy corn. So again, we were very satisfied . We also ordered the beignets which were AMAZING! I’ve had them many times before but these were top 3 for sure ! The server even brought us a tube of chocolate sauce which we freely drizzled over the fluffy, perfectly cooked beignets. My son loved this part the most ! My ending bill was $ 35, impressive! The staff and cooks were extremely friendly and accommodating. I noticed the staff greeting people by name as they walked in, which is always a good sign to me. We plan to come back next week to try the crab and crawfish!

I called ahead to ask if they had fresh crawfish(since currently they are out of season) and whether or not they were regular crawfish or River crawfish. Yes, there is a difference. FYI, River crawfish have a wider body and wider tail; thus, they are even harder to crack and peel than regular crawfish. Anyway, guy on the phone said they were regular. When I got here today, lo and behold, they’re River crawfish. I am so particular about crawfish and this bugged me. Even though I was misinformed, their sauce was really good. I ordered their spicy Cajun sauce with medium spice. It was pretty spicy but still tolerable. The crawfish were pretty big so I didn’t get much in the pound that I ordered, but it was filling. We also ordered the calamari, which had good seasoning and breeding, although it seemed over cooked or frozen. If you’re going to sell seafood, it better be fresh. I also heard they sold beignets here, which I wanted to try but maybe next time when they have regular crawfish ;) oh and you best believe I schooled the waiter on the difference between the two :)

Oysters on the half shell, shrimp and crawdads. We were visiting for the weekend from out of state and needed to find some oysters before we left CA This did not disappoint. We found it after driving thru a small residential area and thinking my GPS was lost. Siri wasn’t for a change The food was excellent !!! Perfect and omg amazing flavors perfect spice. I love half shell oysters and these were great. Clean nice area, plenty of parking. Good vibes and felt at home from when we walked in. Great people from the start to finish also !! Welcoming, A+ service the entire time.

Another routine drive through Farnsworth to get wherever I may be headed and I spot a sign for a restaurant named Craw Station, coming soon. I google the name and find it is coming from SF. I walk in one day with a friend and we ordered some noodle plate, some shrimp, and fried chicken and some sides. Oh, and there is bottomless pineapple mango juice if you order a cup! Since my first visit I’ve returned many times to try out the menu. The staff is very nice and although it is a smaller space than the other restaurants fellow Unilocalers compare to, I think it just adds to the environment of Craw Station. My current favorite order as I write this is the fish tacos. It is what I ordered the last 2 times I’ve visited. Overall, it is a very friendly place and they are very caring people. I overheard the younger workers adjusting to the constructive criticism they hear on Unilocal, such as, changing the channel on the TV. The people at this San Leandro station are so great, aren’t they? Good food and company. No rush to get out. Clean space. I give them all 5 stars P. s. They were very helpful in helping me with a last day of class party at school. I ordered a big jug of the pineapple mango juice(did I mention that the juice is amazing? Pineapple and mango together?!?), and my class enjoyed the drink a lot.

Heard and read about this new place in the neighborhood. After being open for a few months it was time to give it a try. Sunday night was date night. We walked in at 6:30 and we were the only customers. I’m not going to lie, I was scared. We were greeted and sat down. I don’t like to get my hands dirty while eating so a boil bag is «not my bag baby» as Austin Powers would say. I ordered a lobster roll that came with Cajun fries and coleslaw($ 17.99) Hubs ordered a medium Cajun spice craw dad bag with a 6 piece sausage and corn add-on($ 15.73) He also tried the pineapple mango drink($ 4.95) Food came out super quick. Once Hubs got a craw dad cracking lesson, bib and gloves he went to work and I watched while chowing down on the roll. The lobster roll had a good amount of crab in light mayo with celery. It wasn’t overly dressed. The bread was soft and buttery. It was melt in your mouth good. The fries were eh not good. They had seasoning but didn’t give much flavor, thank goodness for ketchup. I’m not a coleslaw fan so no comment. Hubs enjoyed the bag with all of the goodies. Make sure to order a side of steamed white rice($ 1.95) to soak up the sauce from the bag. As we were there a lot of people came in for take out orders and a few people dined in. Good sign. Next time we will try some of the apps; fried green tomatoes, catfish, shrimp and maybe the chicken and waffle. Oh and of course the beignets that I read so much about. The employee kept switching shows on the TV so it was distracting. It would have been nice to have another employee on the floor since the one was answering the phone, dealing with take-out orders, dine in customers and ect. It sometimes took awhile to get his attention since he was all over the place. Nice addition to the hood.

This is an Asian Cajun place similar to Boiling Crab. They have another location in SF. I didn’t get into that whole Boiling Crab craze a couple years ago so I don’t go out of my way for this kind of food, but since this place opened up in SL, I decided to give it a try. If you have any experience with this type of restaurant, you’ll know that it gets very messy when you eat. It’s a lot easier to eat with your hands(just don’t burn yourself in the boiling bag) but if you’re like me and like to be clean when you eat, it’s doable with a fork. My friend just ate with his hands and probably finished twice as fast as me though. We started off with oysters, and honestly they were probably the highlight for me. They’re just under $ 2 each and are fairly large so they’re a great deal. For your boiling bag of food, you can choose from a variety of seafood. Shrimp is always a good choice. One bag of shrimp is appropriate for two people, or you can eat it all yourself if you’re really hungry. Note that their website doesn’t list prices for these; they’re based on market price. For seasoning, I wouldn’t recommend the garlic butter — it doesn’t really have much flavor at all. Go for one of the other seasonings because you can really taste it then. One thing that annoyed me was that you’re supposed to put all your shells into the container that is already on your table. Before you sit down, all the napkins are in there. I really hope they clean them thoroughly before putting clean napkins in there… It gets pretty expensive for food that is just okay. I don’t expect to be back often; I don’t crave this stuff often and probably would only come here if friends wanted to come.

Found a new spot I really like! In the manor district of San Leandro, close to where we use to live, is a small Cajun restaurant next to an international market. It’s a sister restaurant from the one in SF. I wondered why they chose San Leandro to locate this good restaurant as it’s not in a busy area but it is in a residential area to other businesses. Passed by since we went to my parents house. I am glad my parents wanted to try it here. It’s been awhile since I have been here in the area. The place was not busy but not a huge place for big crowds. I saw a lot of to-go orders. They said they just opened in April 2015 and it was last Wednesday we ate there. We ordered their all spice at medium spice. They had different mild flavors. I recommend medium spice only as their hot is way too spicy for me. I would try it if you can handle a lot of habanero peppers only. Sauce was good and garlicky. We ordered shrimps with one hot sausage put all together. It was cooked pretty good but some of the shrimp seemed overlooked as the shells were sticking to the meat. They even provide bowls to put empty shells in and have plastic bibs as well. Ordered pineapple mango cooler drink and free refills! We order the fried fished and the fish was tender and fresh; not overdone. The sauce it came with was good as well. The best part for me was their chilled oysters in a half shell. They serve it with horseradish and cocktail sauce. That’s how I like it! It was really soft like butter which tells me it’s fresh! I was surprised for a small restaurant but they said they get daily delivery from SF. It was pretty good prices compared to other restaurants I have gone to. Service was great and came often to ask how things were or if we needed anything. I will definitely be back here when I am in the area!

I was in the Fields all day pulling weeds and was Famished. I had seen that the Old Filipino Restaurant in the Washington Manor was Closed and being Converted to a Craw Station . I Jumped in my Whip Black Beauty and rolled to the Craw Station and was Delighted that they are now open. They are located in the Washington Manor Strip Mall . There’s Plenty of Parking. I rolled in and was Greeted and Seated by my Server Westley. I was seated at the Front Counter. There are Six Tables to Dine at. They really did a nice job with the Remodel. Its Clean and Brightly Lit. I ordered the Pineapple –Mango Cooler which is Delicious and also Bottomless . I then Perused the Menu and Ordered — Fried Calamari, Cajun Wings, Fried Shrimp, and a Pound Of Crawfish with Sausage and Corn on the Cob in Garlic Butter Medium Heat . Westley and My other Servers were very Attentive and on top of there Game . My Calamari and Cajun Wings came out first . The Calamari came with Tartar Sauce and Cocktail Sauce . The Cajun Wings came with Ranch Dressing . They were both Very Tasty. The Fried Shrimp came out next. It came with Cocktail Sauce and Tartar Sauce Very nice Portion and was pretty Yummy . My Crawfish appeared next . The Garlic Butter Sauce had some nice Heat to it . The Crawfish were pretty good sized. It had the Sausage and Corn Mixed in . It had a good flavor to it . Had a Chance to Talk to one of the Owners . She was very nice and is Passionate about her Food and the Quality . Also asked if I had any Opinions on her food. She also Mentioned her Unilocal reviews and that they were on Unilocal . Servers never really let my Bottomless Drink hit empty before refilling it very good. My Ankle Bracelet went Off. So I asked for my Check and used my Charge Card and Rolled Out . Pro Tip — They are Closed Monday, They have a Second Location in SF . They also have Taken Over the Old Donut Shop next door and will be Opening a Milk Tea and Boba Shop there . They are a Well Welcome Addition to the Gentrification of the Washington Manor Area which has a High Demographic Of Asian Folks. It was once Populated by Portuguese and Irish Folks . That Strip Mall was pretty run down and has been Rejuvenated by New Asian Themed Businesses..

Craw Station’s second location — located in San Leandro! The restaurant is located in the Manor plaza and is compact… compared to the San Francisco location; it is similar in size but does not have a back seating area. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Fiona who introduced herself as our server. The menu compared to San Francisco is actually a little bit larger with a few more choices. I recommend getting the bottom-less pineapple and mango cooler; especially if you are going to try out their Dynamite sauce with your order. I had about 4 rounds of the pineapple and mango cooler… it was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet and it complimented the seafood very well. Got the usual order of Cajun fries and a bowl of their garlic noodles — which is enough to serve two people in my opinion… pretty good noodles as well; another dish that I recommend. I tried out their shrimp — mild with lemon pepper seasoning and we were also offered salt and pepper with lime to go with our order. Similar taste to the original Craw Station, if not maybe even better. Also ordered 6-piece sausage and corn to go with our order. Also was curious about their Dynamite and we were warned that the spice level was going to be a 19 out of 20… if I could compare it to a specific taste — it reminded me very much of the Whole Sha-bang sauce that Boiling Crab offers. This place is brand-new and service was great, will definitely be back.
