We purchased a couple Groupons so the experience was fantastic. The food was great. The service was great. Todd is a great waiter.

Excellent service, enjoyable atmosphere. Food was delicious. Have the smoked trout appetizer, spinach salad and pork chops for the entrée’. All the deserts are fabulous. We live in Huntington. It was worth the drive. We will do it again.

This place is amazing. The food is incredible, the service is top notch and the atmosphere is something you can’t find anywhere else. The Vintage also has one of the coolest buildings in the area and they are the only business with their own parking in the area! Don’t hesitate with this one. I will be revisiting this one for sure!

We had the Valentine’s dinner at the Vintage Steakhouse. The food was superb and the service was impeccable! We were greeted with beautiful hostesses with smiles that made us feel so welcome. Our servers Jonathan and Tony-(aka: Elvis) were so on point and courteous and made our experience there so memorable. We felt like VIPs! This is why we always go back there. Love this place!!!

This a place for fine dining local style. You sit in quaint train cars from back in the day of the San Juan Cap Depot. They are decorated in the old world style of velvet and ‘moody’ lights. The wait staff play up the next level service and the food was what you’d expect for a fine steak house. It was a bit overpriced but the evening was relaxed and we enjoyed the experience.

I’m a repeat customer. I love being seated in the intimate & romantic train dining car. The food is usually very good, but truthfully, in the last year or so, the value and quality has declined, but the food is still good. Our Women’s Club meets here, so they have a nice large room for groups, that has a view of the passing trains. Service is very good. The owner/proprietor was argumentative, which I found odd. I will be back, but I’ll just avoid the owner.

We had an overall really good experience here! 2 downsides were that the hostess was both not too friendly and dressed pretty provocatively and the bartender was a bit of a dud. My Old Fashioned had way too much ice and not much flavor other than the whiskey. Once seated our server was great, the atmosphere was pleasant and the food and wine were incredible Very pricey though! We had a few drinks and shared a bottle of wine. Combine that with an appetizer, 2 entrees and dessert and the bill for the two of us was almost $ 375. We’d come back for sure but would hold on the cocktails and skip the desert as the desert was overly sweet after such a meal.

Hey Vintage. Don’t promote your restaurant on Groupon if you’re servers and management are going to be mad when they’re used.

Excellent service. Great wine selection, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Love the décor and seeing the trains go by from the window. Wish I lived closer. I’d be a regular.

Food is great happy hour is amazing. Sam the bartender is a complete distasteful employee that works here he picks favorites in whom he serves. I’ve never had this happen but someone else(customers) from another table in the bar apologized to us(my friend and I). I brought to show her this awesome happy hour and ended up being a huge embarrassing ordeal. Sucks for me because it was a business meeting as well(so much for me recommendation). Who knows if you’re an old person he will treat you like an old buddy but if you’re young stay away.

I wish I could I give it a higher rating and would return next time to see if I have a better experience given the excellent service, unique setting and mostly tasty food. Pros — Used a Groupon, felt totally welcomed and got a fabulous value — Impeccable service(our two servers worked well together and were extremely attentive. I can only remember one of their names – Colton) — Nearly all courses(bread, trout appetizer, warm spinach salad, crème brûlée, lemon tart) were spot on. — Good selection of steak sauces — Very nice options on the«Groupon» menu; would have liked to try more things. Cons — The sirloin steak(which is of course is the restaurant’s namesake) was lukewarm, not over-cooked but not juicy, and stringy. — I was expecting to dine in the train car but was told I had to specifically request a train during my reservation(even though the train car was mostly empty when I arrived before 5 pm). I did make a reservation but didn’t know I had to ask for a train car table. I was in the main dining room and could see the passing Amtrak trains. — I noticed that by the end of my meal there were still several empty train car tables. — As many others have noted, avoid the twice baked potato. — I also was warned that the fries were not as good as before so I opted for the regular baked potato – hard to mess that up.

Went there for dinner on a Saturday night… Pros: –Server was great! Wish I remembered his name. Very attentive and knowledgeable. I even joked to my husband that he was«psychic» because if we needed something he would show up minutes later with it. He recommended a wine for us but they didn’t have it so he discounted our next choice. Great service! Thank you! — Loved the ambiance. I kind of felt like I stepped back in time. They have a dining train car so next time I will request to sit there. However the regular dining room is also nice. — Apps: tomato and goat cheese on toast… good but the tomatoes could have been roasted a smidge longer. Wild mushrooms of the day… excellent! — Entrée-I had the wild Salmon. I loved it! It was poached with a nice Hollandaise sauce. You dont really find poached Salmon these days so I was super excited. Plus there was no nasty skin on the bottom to deal with. –My husband had the Ribeye. He said it was fantastic, perfectly cooked, and loved the sauce that accompanied it. Cons: — A woman had puked in the bathroom trash. It was nasty. Thank goodness I had already eaten. I could tell however that they were aware of the situation and proceeding to take action to clean it. — The twice baked potato was gross. It tasted like something that comes in a microwave dinner box. Plus it seemed stale like it had been made in the morning and was just reheated. –Their white corn and tomato salad. It was good and all but nothing to go nuts over… especially since they label it as their«signature salad». Just kind of weird… and overpriced at 12.95. — Their Peanut butter cream brulee was just ok for us. Needed help with the texture and creaminess. Overall we will definitely return! There are wine bars across the street so you can make a fun night of it afterwards! … Oh I almost forgot something for under the pro list… another super cool thing is our server told us that the chef will sometimes prepare your dinner table side if you reserve in advance. How cool is that! We will definitely keep that in mind for future!

We went there for my friends birthday and made reservations for the train car section. The setting was perfect with the authentic looking dining car setting, red curtains at the windows and cushy seating. We arrived off the MetroLink in time for the lunch. We ordered the house red wine, Tisdale($ 25/bottle, seriously?), but it did go well with our order of steaks. I enjoyed the soup de jour which was a delight and different. For lunch I had the Roasted pulled pork, cashews, sun dried cherries over baby spinach leaves in a dijon mustard. Now I do know my pulled pork and that was nothing like I’ve ever tasted. It was over cooked, tough and chewy. I chose to eat the salad around the meat. So I really wasn’t satisfied with my entrée. One other guest in our party had somewhat the same experience. One of my friends ordered a steak well done received it medium well, so she had to send it back but when it was returned, the steak was too well done and dry and tasteless. One caveat was that we ordered the goat cheese and tomato appetizer. Now that was a good choice which was suggested by one of my guest. I have to say that our server was excellent and attentive. The surprise birthday treat was good, just wasn’t enough for five of us but enough to have one bite each. I was disappointed that the two vouchers were not accepted but only one at $ 25. Next time I will try Groupon, providing there is a next time. Overall I have to say the ambiance was excellent, the wine was good but the food was suspect. The service was a little slow.

Visited this place this past weekend. I had purchased a living social voucher for a 4 course meal for 4 people and it did not disappoint! It’s a nice steakhouse with a very different theme and elegant feel. My favorites were the warm spinach salad(Surprising I know lol), the soup of the day which was a carrot soup was very tasty along with the lentil soup, the pork chop and three citrus shrimp. Also, their sides were amazing especially the mashed potato and corn. I wasn’t a big fan of the appetizers though which were the trout and the goat cheese with tomato but besides that everything was great including the service. I will definitely be returning the next time I am craving steak.

Went last night for anniversary dinner with my wife. Cool ambiance and décor. Upscale western feel with friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the Bone in Prime Rib which was delicious. Heres the rub… My salad fork had a dried piece of onion on it which grossed out, and my twice baked potato was dry as a bone and terrible. The corn salad was basically salsa mixed with corn on a bed of greens… It was so-so. Still had a nice anniversary dinner despite these minor things, but for the price they needed to pay MUCH more attention to detail.

Last night’s halibut was a treat for my tongue! Perfectly seared with an herbed butter. The vegetables on the side were the usual steamed selection, taking a back seat to the fish. Perfect! My dining companion was certainly enjoying his filet mignon with the Cabernet reduction. Our wait staff was well organized and attentive. Well done Vintage! If I had more thumbs they would all be up!

I LOVED this place! My hubby and I went with a travelzoo voucher and i could not believe what a good deal it was. Our waiter told us the full menu is even better but the pork chop with the twice baked potato wAs delicious and the peanut butter crème brûlée was amazing! The sirloin thaf my husband ordered was not their best cut of meat but our server told us that beforehand and my hubby ate every bite anyways. The spinah salad had a bit too much dressing but was flavorful all the same. The atmosphere alone is worth coming for. I felt like i was in the movie midnight in paris — thrown back in time. I cannot wait to go back for happy hour!

This place was so much more than I expected. I went in with the Groupon deal and I had read very mixed reviews, so I was quite skeptical to say the least. We has the tomato and goat cheese appetizer, I had the spinach salad and he had the lentil soup, we both ordered streak. I have to say that for a sirloin steak– that quality was pretty fantastic, tasted like it had a nice wood smoky flavor, and was cooked perfectly. There was a bit of fat, which is to be expected– and yea– it was delicious. The boyfriend said his potatoes were perfectly cooked, and my sweet potato fries were delicious. I LOVED the peanut butter crème brûlée as well. The service was really great, besides a slight lag time in someone coming to our table to take our order, but after he arrived, he was very polite, and courteous. I didn’t feel like I was being treated any differently than a regular paying customer is, and I value you that very much. We did not(ask) or get to sit in train car, but the restaurant itself had a nice ambiance. It could be romantic if you wanted it to be. I was so pleasantly surprised, and I would highly recommend them for the quality of all their food– especially the steak. Make a date night out of it for sure.

I’ve eaten here a handful of times with various people and the results always seem consistent: A few hits and a few misses. Some real dazzling tastes, and a few let downs. Your best bet really is to take advantage of the Groupon when available, and have your party order various dishes so you can get a little taste of everything. Some of the dishes can be $$-$$$, and the Groupon makes a lot of sense. Some of the hits: Appetizer of smoked trout($ 12.95) is really good. Large filleted portion topped with capers and a dill aioli was both tasty and unique and seems reasonably priced. Dinner plate of Filet Mignon($ 34) was also very good, especially with the various sauce selections(all very good). The twice-baked potato is also delicious and I really recommend this for one of your side selection. And while the grilled veggies are also very tasty, they’ve *always* been lukewarm at best. Some of the misses: Venison 2 Bone Chops($ 36).turned out to be very chewy and tough despite the blackberry syrah sauce(which didn’t really blow anyone away). Also, on two occasions now, someone had ordered a regular baked potato… both times not only was the potato late, but not 100% cooked(raw at the core)…a let down. Lastly, the appetizer of Mesquite Charbroiled Goat Cheese Tomatoes, while very delicious, is a complete rip for the over-inflated price of $ 12…you basically get three thin baguette slices, with a tablespoon of goat cheese and a ½ a small tomato on each. that works out to $ 4 a bite on something whose ingredients cost about $ 2 total. Ambiance is nice. The retrofitted antique train box cars and old depot storage area looks nice. It’s complimented with old photos of San Juan and the area. Dimmed lights and a very friendly wait staff really add to the overall experience. However, it can be very loud inside at times(the acoustics aren’t great) making it difficult to hear others at your table at peak times. Expect to dress up a bit, not necessarily formal attire, but a little dress up is encouraged. Overall, it’s a nice experience, but could be much better if the both food warmth and preparation were more consistent, especially for some of the prices… it’s not cool to pay $ 30 for uncooked potatoes, luke warm veggies and occasionally tough meats.
