Paradise Automotive Service

I bought a 2001 Volkswagen Passat Wagon and new I’d need some repairs. I Facebook messaged Pete Hileman and got a call that he’s a service technician at Paradise Automotive. Pete’s one of the best mechanics I know and over the last 20 years+ has a reputation of honest and reliable service. To top it off the Service Manager-​Tom Carvahlo is of the same caliber as Pete and has worked factory direct for Ford & Audi. They diagnosed my check engine, found me a catylitic converter for a reasonable price, and I passed smog. These guys are local guys and around here your reputation is wrapped up in your work so you can trust to get top notch service and repairs with these guys.

I was very pleased with the price & quality of work done on my 2005 Ford F350 diesel truck. Our service adviser Tom, went over the problems with the truck and explained exactly what needed to be done. I took his advise and my truck now runs like a brand new truck. I was provided a quote about a month ago for some service work by Jay, however I decided to hold off since it was mainly preventative and scheduled maintenance, including a timing belt, valve cover gaskets and motor mounts for 2001 Lexus. I had a quote from a dealership for comparison and the quote from Paradise was much much less than dealer’s estimate, so much less that I was skeptical and kept asking «are you sure». I decided to have my service done and brought my car in a few days ago, Tom took over for Jay however Jay was still hands on. I was sorta expecting the prices to suddenly jump up however the prices stayed somewhat the same to my surprise, sure there was some small additions like bearings, coolant, etc but nothing over the top and all seemed fair/​reasonable — no major surprises and still WAY less than the dealership. Communication was also excellent through the entire process (quick to return calls etc.). The final bill was actually a little less then the estimate — another nice surprise. The job was done on time. Their hourly rate is below the dealer rates and very reasonable for the area. The mechanics bay’s are surprisingly clean — in fact everything was clean. I am a happy customer and will be back when ever I need service. Thanks Tom & Jay (and JP for putting together a great team).

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews unless it’s horrible or super great. As you can see I had a great experience. Actually it was my mom. She is 73 and can get easily stressed out when there is any trouble of any kind. I noticed there was a leak under her car and she went into panic mode. I suggested Paradise automotive because it’s close to our house and I recently went for a quote for a few things that need to be done on my son’s truck and my car. I had a good feeling about Jay and felt confident about his expertise and the price was way lower than the dealer. Yeah! My mom needed 2 new tires which she has been putting off for way too long, 3 leaks fixed, and some other service I don’t remember. She came home so happy that it didn’t end up costing her what she was expecting the dealer to charge her. She said the people there are top notch and loves Jay. She said they were honest, up front and very professional. Finding a good trustworthy mechanic is like finding a doctor you like and trust and our family has found it! We will go to this establishment for all our car service needs. Keep up the great work!

I am not one of those that gives a review very often, but in this case it’s warranted. I was referred to PAS by a neighbor of mine that couldn’t say enough good things about this shop. He used words like professional, courteous, honest and fast. How could I turn down a recommendation like that right? I can honestly say that Jay Amado is first class. I came to him this morning for a quick brake check as my BMW 328i had a metal grinding noise after I completed a brake job myself this weekend. Not only did Jay and his team fix it quickly, they didn’t even charge me for the service! That would never have happened at the BMW dealer where they charge you for sitting in the lobby… Jay and his team are first class! Do not go anywhere else for your service needs!

Modern, great shop. Great service. Pete did the service on my BMW and it was done, just as promised and priced. Didn’t feel pushed at all. Jay in service department was very easy to work with. First time at this shop and it was all good. This is my new repair shop!

I had a trouble with the cover of the oil tank on the way back to LA. Teera Saivichit helped us fix it immediately with detail explanation. I truly recommend this place.

Paradise Automotive is the BEST! I’ve been taking my cars to them for 10 years. I’ve always felt that their pricing is fair and that they’re honest. What more do you want in a car repair business?

I don’t do many reviews so let’s see if this even makes it on.
Great group of guys here who helped us out today! On our way home after a trip to legoland and the tire exploded while on the freeway. We didn’t know it exploded! Just heard an odd noise and thought we should check it out. We exited and just so happened to be right next to the business and even though they were closing and wrapping things up, they were kind enough to change our tire for us. Thank you for helping us!
We had a bus load of kids so we were
lucky and glad they were there in our time of need.
FYI/​They had some pretty awesome cars
for sale too!

Brought one of our vehicles here for brakes. Excellent work and service. Price was better than the last place I took it too. :) No up selling or garbage that the rotors couldn’t be turned, etc. Just honest good work. They’ve got themselves a regular client now!
