Vogue Café, formerly was Courtyard Café, is nestled in the corner of the retail complex across from Chuck E. Cheese’s. This is my favorite Café venue because not only is it bigger than the other Cafes but it also has a connecting outdoor area, which makes for the ideal summer gathering & they have a handful of comfy booths along the walls. Not too long ago, they added«beer» to the menu. YES, beer! With beer and more items added to accommodate, Vogue is slowly winning over customers who normally prefer the Asian bars. On any given day, you can find many students gathering for their studies. Customers have access to Free Wi-Fi. The waitresses are courteous and friendly, although I think a few more waitresses added for the evening crowd would make a big difference. Even though, the girls are making sure your iced tea or ice mug is filled up, the service is oriented more towards a coffee house than it is for a sports bar. It’s very rare to see the waitresses sitting with the customers. The food is decent. The in-house DJs are A-OK! Karaōke is turned on usually around 8pm and this place is notorious for closing at midnight sharp. It is well equipped to host the major sports events as they have every single wall plastered with the signature coffee shop flat screens, plus they get extra points for having the sound system in their outdoor area. In summation, Vogue Café, is probably one of San Jose’s tourist spot among people in our community but I am fond of it because it has attracted and retained its avid local coffee/karoake/beer lovers, such as myself. The best part is definetaly the prices and the NO-PRESSURE to drink environment! You can get a little bit of everything for so much less here… Cheers!

I thought this place is a sport bar but it was disappointed that this place is just a Vietnamese restaurant with traditional Vietnamese foods. NOSPORTBAR at all. So what the heck, I orders few dishes and turned out it was my best dinner. The shaky cube beef was excellent and so the lamb chops, the creamy sauce go with the lamb chop was so tasty, yum. yum… I would give this place a definitely 4.5 stars.

Located in a strip mall, this little gem serves the best coffee in the Bay Area. Okay, to be precise, it’s located in a strip mall in East San Jose, and it serves the best coffee in that strip mall. From what I can tell. Banh mi, beef stew, spring rolls, fries, beer, Vietnamese coffee. Large TV screens, lots of seating, smoking allowed. The food is a bit pricey for what you get, but do you come here for the food? Right, for watching sports, that’s what you come here for. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. Good game.

This place is kind of funny, they have scantily clad women wearing REALLY tall shoes walking around filling up your complimentary tea as you hang out watching one of a bunch of giant TVs with various shows playing. Ironically the service is a bit spotty, your tea will always be full but if you want to order something you have to flag someone down. They only have 3 kinds of beers, Heineken, Corona, and Bud. Vietnamese coffee which is iced and served with condensed milk, this stuff is so strong it could kill a small donkey! You can also get some juices and I may have seen a shake or two. The food is pretty good, I like the combination Banh Mi sandwich that has chicken, ham, a cooked egg, carrots, jalapenos, and cucumber. Pretty tasty! Ive also had some of the fried noodle dishes which are good as well.

Vogue Café is the former Courtyard Café and it is located on Alvin Avenue. It’s a typical Vietnamese type of social establishment… They sell food which smells really good… They have very nice waitresses… They look like they were freezing cold today because they had on very short skirts! Ha ha They offer some video gaming machines… large screen TVs… A very large seating area… I was impressed with the 49er poster on the wall! I spoke with the waitress at the counter she was so nice… She suggested that I try number four of these dish she said it was delicious! If you want to hang out with your friends… Get a cup of coffee… Enjoy a meal… You might want to go over to Vogue Café… And when you go there… Write your own review… Tell us what you think… By the way… Tell the waitress at the counter you read about the café on Unilocal… And Karen sent you!
