I tried to go there four to eight weeks ago. The back door was covered with plywood and there was a note saying they had been robbed. I haven’t seen it open since, but I haven’t tried often.

Friendly staff and delicious coffee and pastries. Huge place, but I was the only person there when I visited awhile back.

Pros: –New Barista whose very cool name escapes me but he is AWESOME(and has amazing hair) –Local company –good coffee!(important!) –Very large inside –easy parking(if you know where the driveways are) –free wifi! –nice tables and plenty of places to sit –would be a great place to study for college students or teens –good syrup selection –pretty pastry display –welcoming staff –convenient in and out from back door! — good price Things that could be improved: –Why so many antiques? It feels all chic and new but has very old furniture. Goes against the welcoming feel of the seating areas… kinda like the«don’t touch» room at grandma’s house –Limited coffee roasts(only 3, maybe they’ll get more?) –not all drinks are listed so you have to ask«do you have…» –pastries seem kinda processed, like out of a package? Could just be me –Poor signage for back entrance(yes, there is a back door!) –Easy to miss from street if you don’t know it is there –Owner recently replaced cheddar cheese on breakfast sandwiches to american… WHY??? –Hours– 7 is a touch late for me and 2 is an early close. Maybe a 6 – 3? or longer hours on weekends? But they may need more customers to warrant that.

What a find on «The other end» of Lincoln Avenue. The layout and seating are great so you can bring your tablet to get some work done here, unlike Pete’s or Starbucks which are always too crowded. Ample parking in back of the building. The coffee is delicious too.

It’s great to have another coffee option on this side of Willow Glen. Stopped in to do some work today and the staff was awesome. Especially manager Elizabeth. She’s amazingly friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to meet all the customers needs. The coffee was great too and not overpriced like some other coffee shops in the neighborhood. Overall, it’s a great place to stop in for a cup to go, or spend some time in a great work space.

Such good coffee! All the beans are apparently what they use in Italy, and you can taste it. There are a decent selection of hot, cold, and blended drinks. I got a Ghirdella chocolate iced mocha with whip cream. At first it tasted way chocolatey, but after I stirred it a bit more is was perfect. Rich in taste, a good mocha flavor with a kick of sweet! Inside is really spacious with lots of tables. There are some nice paintings and decorations, plus some cute little cultural recipe books for sale. It doesn’t really have a cozy coffee shop vibe or seem like a place to hang out while you drink, but the owner did make a comment as I was looking around that«they needed more things to look at.» Overall really delicious coffee, and an understandably semi empty space after only two months open ~ but a lot of potential. I’m definitely coming back to check out how it improves!

Hard to spot from the road. If it were not for the«coffee» sign id have missed and i was looking for it” in a weird office building the inside is quite nice and new. Too bad they close at 2pm on the afternoon. Great cold brew. Just wished they were open later as i would have loved to hang there.

So happy to have a coffee shop around that isn’t Starbucks.(Boycotted them because of credit fraud issues x’s 2) I have been waiting for Viva Coffee to open since I saw them doing construction. Finally got to try it today and it was a great experience. Lovely workers, nice ambience, and good music. Their menu is simple with fairly priced drinks. Had the iced caramel latte and it was yummmmm. Can’t wait to come back and try some of their blended drinks. I wish they close a little later on Sundays.

Great coffee shop with a delicious mocha. I especially love that it is so roomy and stroller friendly. Great place to stop in after a stroller walk which sometimes can be difficult on the main stretch of Lincoln.

Noelle’s Unilocal Notebook 2014 –be sure to pick up a frequent buyer card– –too bad they close at 2 p.m.!- A huge thanks to my mom for introducing me to the newest coffee shop in the 95125! Viva Coffee coffee shop is located in the Willow Glen area of San Jose. Parking is available on the street or behind the building. My first visit was with my mom and 16 month old son. We had coffee and shared a cinnamon roll and quiche. I believe the coffee beans are oak wood roasted. I had a iced vanilla latte and it was good. I liked the cinnamon roll and the sausage quiche was so amazingly delish! I also have purchased their scone and their sausage quiche and spinach quiche– both the scone and quiche were spectacular. Customer service was friendly and the entire coffee shop was clean and spacious– even spacious enough to easily accommodate our Orbit Baby Double Helix stroller. It’s too bad they close at 2 p.m. Noelle’s Notes good coffee beans friendly customer service delish quiche :) be sure to pick up a frequent buyer card

A new independently owned coffee shop in the Glen — YES! I saw the new business announcement on Unilocal & had to pop in. Their location is hard to see from the street as it’s in a small business complex that’s tucked back from the street. I received a warm greeting upon entering the clean yet sparse shop. That day I was in the mood for a non-fat latte & they did not disappoint — great flavor. They offer baked items & sandwiches if hunger strikes. I also noticed a good variety of blended drinks called«blendiva» on their menu which I can’t wait to try. It seems like a good place to study or just meet a friend for coffee. A nice addition to the Glen. I’ll be back for more.

Nice to have a coffee shop in the neighborhood within walking distance! We tried Viva out this morning and were pleasantly surprised. The staff is very friendly. My wife enjoyed an iced coffee, and I had a smoothie. Both were excellent. We look forward to trying more on the menu.

My husband and I are quite picky with coffee shops seeing that we invested a lot in a home espresso system that we enjoy daily but once in a while we like to take a stroll nearby and end the stroll with a treat for the kids(ie hot chocolate at night or smoothie during the day) and this new nearby coffee shop provides the perfect treat for us. We appreciate that they provide real quality coffee and smoothies and that they are a local shop and not a chain. The service was pretty good, except the older lady who I assume was the owner was not as friendly as some of the other local chains to give it that neighborly feel. To be fair, this was just the first few weeks of opening so I’m hoping it had more to do with preoccupation of the normal routine than business as usual. We’ll see, but we will definitely be back for more regardless. **Just to update the last reviewer, they do accept American Express and Paypal as well**

After physical therapy, I was on my way to my daughter’s home when I saw this café was finally open! I parked on the side street, as no parking allowed in front on Lincoln Avenue. I walked into the café entrance facing Lincoln Avenue. The café interior is spacious and clean! I was greeted immediately when I walked in. There are plenty of tables inside and spaced well apart so you don’t feel squished. Elizabeth(what an amazing name!) took my order of a medium caramel latte and blueberry scone. There is an iPad facing you that asks what tip percentage you’d like to add. After completing the transaction with my signature(using my finger), I was directed to the left where I could pick up my drink. The scone was given to me at the order area. Service at order and pick up areas was friendly and efficient. I asked if I could take photos which Elizabeth, at the order area, said was fine. This is a soft opening week for them. Ron, the owner introduced himself and gave me two coupons to use on future visits. It was a buy one coffee, get a free pastry(select pastries only), expires 8÷30÷14. I’m sure I’ll be back before then, coupon or not. The caramel latte was delicious and far better than what I have ordered at Starbucks. The blueberry scone was tender and full of fruit, not dry at all. They will heat your pastry if you prefer but as it was to go, I declined the offer. There was a good number of folks inside as well as outside on their patio tables. Umbrellas are available for the tables outdoors. Parking is behind the building and on the street to the side, into the neighborhood. All forms of credit card accepted except American Express. I’ll definitely be back and since it’s near the place where I go for physical therapy, guess I’ll be a regular!

This place is amazing!!! New gem in willow glen! Is what I like to say! Awesome coffee and amazing crew! Everybody very welcoming! I was so happy to find a place that wasn’t Starbucks or Pete’s coffee with that burnt house roast! The brewed coffee is flavorful and smooth! They have an amazing line up of pastries and breakfast foods also to get your day started! I recommended you try this place out!
