Service was very good but the pico de gallo is just onions. Also the tables aren’t designed to to actually sit at unless you have your knees removed. The sauce had a very canned, generic taste. 3 street tacos is $ 12.75 before tax. Unreal.

When you think of airport food, you’ll probably already be bracing yourself for a lowest-common-denominator experience. Having said this, Tres Gringos isn’t terrible, even if it isn’t mind-blowing. Both the breakfast and non-breakfast burritos are fairly normal sized, go down well, and are fairly filling, even if you do have to pay airport prices for them. Service is also fast and courteous. Not a bad choice if you’re flying out of SJC.

As funnny as it sounds the best Mexican food I’ve had in awhile. Do the street tacos! Our bartender was awesome. Food was great and came out quick.

Grabbed a couple of the chicken street taco’s before my flight. They were small, even by street taco standards so at $ 4 per taco, pretty pricy; however, they were ridiculously good. The fresh squeezed lemonade is very good as well.

Yes, eat here. After looking at Unilocal for the entire Terminal A in the SJC airport, I realized it was this or the sushi place I ordered the Herradura margarita and got the blackened shrimp burrito(without the tortilla) with black beans, guac, etc. Bartender and staff were super friendly. Food and margarita were good(wish the portion was a bit bigger). It is worth the walk down A if you want great service and decent food.

I usually get breakfast here before i head out. Service is good, food is fine. Not being a coffee drinker, I think this is the best option unless you take a walk to B terminal.

You might say I’m crazy and I admit I am not an expert on West Coast Mexican fast food. but i have eaten MANY fish tacos in my day, and these by far, were best I’ve had in a long time, if not ever. The fish was crisp, not too battered and heavy. The cabbage slaw was bright, crisp and crunchy and the crema sauce drizzled over the entire mound of deliciousness blew me away with flavor. Who knows, maybe I just really hungry, but i devoured every bite and left completely satisfied. My server, Jorge A, knew I was concerned about making my flight without having to wolf my food down. He got my food to me within minutes and kept my beverage glass full. A totally surprising delicious meal in an airport no less. BRAVO!

I had the shrimp taco and it was very good. I also ordered a street taco and it was a joke. It was ridiculously tiny, with about a tablespoon of dried out meat for $ 4.25. Took 3 bites to finish it. Skip the street tacos! Overall, much better than most airport food you find.

If they’re going to charge almost $ 15 for a Caesar salad, they could at least serve it to you on actual dishes — instead I got a disposable plate and a plastic fork… Uninspired but inoffensive food. Overall, pretty meh.

Friendly enough staff, but OMG I’ve never eaten worse«food». I’m here at 9:30am and ordered MEXICALIBREAKFASTPLATE — $ 8.50 — «Scrambled eggs with refried beans, topped with chorizo & corn tortillas & served with a side of salsa.» My food arrived at table within 1 minute. 1 minute! When was it cooked? Last night? The«eggs» are worse than airplane eggs, the watery«salsa» came from a jar, as did the«beans». Food is so bad I’m looking forward to eating on the flight! LaGunitas on tap is nice though.

OK, so the food’s OK, but service leaves to be desired. Ordered the shrimp burrito with guacamole and got the shrimp-less, guacamole-less version. Complained to the waiter and… Got a little(small) helping of guacamole on the side(plus an annoyed look). Didn’t have time to argue, so a few shrimps were saved that day…

Decent and satisfying quesadillas. It is over priced as many have mentioned, but then again, what airport restaurant isn’t? They are fairly generous with their portions anyways. My food was very fresh and tasty. I ordered the santo Domingo quesadillas, which came hot, toasty, and gooey. The beef reminded me of chipotle a bit and I found this to be a plus. The chips are nice and the salsa is good. They also have a good drink menu. Though there’s nothing special about the meal, I think it’s worth a go, considering the limited options. Overall, I had a decent dining experience.

Great service and yummy food. Got the shrimp taco & loved every bite! Self seating and rather convenient. A little on the loud side though.

Wow this is a «gringos» Mexican place, nothing wonderful. We ordered nachos and we had a martini each, this was $ 43… way too ridiculous. The nachos were a pile of leftover stuff and it was heated in the microwave literally in front of us. The place is located in San Jose airport, the server kept pushing for burritos so everyone that came over was getting the burrito based on the server recommendation. The same process was used for the burrito heat up a pile of food in the microwave and place it on a large tortilla. I am not recommending this place to anyone, save your money.

My husband and I were flying to Denver out of San Jose and wanted to grab a bite to eat. There are very few decent places to eat in Concourse A, and we do not like Gordon Biersch at all, so we opted for Tres Gringos. My hubs got some tacos, and he loved them! I had a burrito, and it was good, certainly not as good quality as say Chipolte or Qdoba, but it was filling and we enjoyed sitting at the bar enjoying some drinks prior to our flight. Certainly not the best food I’ve ever eaten in an airport, but it wasn’t bad at all.

This place serves good airport food. Had a delicious breakfast burrito here, and the window seating is stellar. Still, I really can’t justify paying 4 – 5 times the prices. Only on a corporate card, never on a personal card with this place. Still can’t believe I paid almost $ 10 for a cup of fruit… AHH!!!

First time for breakfast, I waited in the mile long line and got the breakfast quesadilla. The egg was cooked fresh, the tortilla was fresh, the guacamole is not fresh made and the bacon was also precooked. There is one cashier/cook so it takes time to get through line. The bummer part of no actual server is that you cannot get a free tap water like at Gordon biersch. My bill was over $ 18 for a meal and 2 drinks. Please get a server at the bar who is fast so I can come back for business trips.

I think they named this place Tres Gringos because it tastes like a couple of gringos trying to make Mexican food! I didn’t really find the menu all that appetizing but I didn’t have a lot of time before my flight and I was hungry. Everything looked fatty and Americanized. Hey, sometimes Americanized Mexican food can be good, but not here. I ordered some kind of grilled fish taco. The bartender rung it it wrong and I got the fried fish. When I let them know they got me the correct item very quickly. This«taco» is weird. They pile everything on to 2 really small tortillas, it is impossible to pick it up and eat it the way they present it. I actually asked one of the employees how to eat it because it was just a pile of food when I was expecting a taco. They said there were actually two tortillas under there and that I can pull one of them out and make a taco. Um, why not serve the tortillas on the side and say to make it yourself? Or why not make two regular tacos instead of two shells topped with enough contents for 2 — 3 tacos? Didn’t get the presentation and didn’t think the food was all that good. If this is my only option again I think I will just stay hungry!

Get me to this Gringooo! Took me a while to figure out what I wanted to lunch on before my flight back to Orange County. After walking into all the restaurants in this terminal, and reading up on their respective Unilocal reviews, I settled on Tres Gringos. Out of all the food options available, why did i choose it? Maybe it had to do with the fact that I ate at El Farolito yday night and had one of the worst, most overrated mexican eatery experiences ever. Seriously, the readers of Esquire need taste palette surgery. Waiter recommended i order the san felipe shrimp burrito. It did not disappoint. Sweet lil shrimps in a nice flour tortilla wrap. I wish the tortilla chips could have come out fresh and hot and that salsa accompanied it but oh well. I would say turn the burrito super with additional guac and sour cream. That would make the whole enchilada even more epic. All in all, i didn’t feel jipped like i normally do paying an arm, leg, and liver with food airport prices…

I gotta admit, for Airport food, it was still disgusting(so trend has not been broken). If the burrito is gonna suck, at least make the chips & salsa decent. Definitely a pass…
