The Law Office of Allen C. Speare

After a series of unfortunate incidents, I ended up calling a bunch of lawyers for getting advice on just what my situation was and if they would represent me. I’m happy to say that I chose Allen over all the others.
From a simple court appearance, the pre-​trials ballooned up to over a year thanks to Allen’s tenacious insistence that the charges could be lowered. Allen went far above what I expected from him and contacted city hall when it was needed and even contacted the various agencies from whom we could get supporting evidence that helped dismiss the charges levied on me. I’m really sure most other lawyers, for the fee Allen was charging would have tried get away with just accepting the prosecutors plea bargain. In the courtroom, he was also acquainted with other lawyers and knew exactly how to handle the prosecution. If I had been there without him, the result would have been far different.
Especially, Allen really kept me calm and always stayed positive throughout the process. There were times during the year long pre-​trial that I was deeply anxious and afraid for what was to happen. The last thing I would have wanted was a lawyer trying to extract money or not caring about what was to happen. In fact, Allen never even once accepted any extra fees or so that I offered and even referred me to other sources whom he felt could help me out better. Going to a trial would have been far more stressful for me, but Allen prevented that.

Allan is a complete professional. He produced solid results for me and I am so grateful for his honest, candid consultation. Allen Spears is hands down the best attorney I know! He not only, knows his stuff, and has been in the courtrooms for over 20 years. He also has a great personality and has a genuinely good heart when helping other. He explains everything thoroughly and gets back to your calls ASAP! He usually returns calls when he gets out of court, or by the end of the day. I worked with him 5 years ago on a personal injury (car accident) case and we settled at the max. So I was very pleased! Call it luck. I call it a human miracle.
I found Allen Speare by chance when I was desperate and needed help right away. I was so overwhelmed with problems that I didn’t even think of «trust» or what kind of attorney Allen is. That’s why my luck turned into a miracle. He not only went the extra mile with me over 9 months, working very hard and not missing a detail, but also was solicitous about my health and well-​being along the way.
I rate Allen C. Speare the highest in character, integrity, intelligence, experience, wit, patience – the list goes on. On one court appearance, he used an ingenious strategy in the courtroom to win lighter penalties in my case. I will recommend Allen to anyone who needs representation in the future.

My adolescent relative had gotten himself in some criminal trouble. We discussed letting him represent himself to save money, but we hired Allen and boy are we glad we did. Everything turned out the best we could have hoped for, and it was clear that Allen had made the difference.
In my relative’s case there were several complications. The Probation Department had made a strong recommendation against us. Appellate filing fees tripped up the defendant immediately before us in count. There had been challenges in case preparation as well. Allen not only resolved the issues of preparation and bureaucracy (he had gone to multiple different locations and brought proof).
But in our case, in the end it was clear that the judge knew Allen and trusted him. A decision that likely would have gone the other way came down in our favor. I came to appreciate that Allen has been practicing criminal law in Santa Clara County for 20+ years, he’s a known quantity here and, like it or not, in the legal system that can and does make a difference. If you have a criminal or car accident or similar matter I would certainly recommend consulting with Allen — and definitely before deciding to represent yourself.
