Nice and clean place. Staff is very friendly. Very inexpensive. Only improvement I would like is they keep track of my personal preferences, but then who else truly does that.

This place is great. Me and my friend both went I to get haircuts and they attended us really fast and they get the job done quickly as well. I love the way my hair cut turned out. Normally I hate going to hair cut places because of the amount of time they spend, like a hour or so, but this place took no more than half a hour to attend us and get the job done and well. Both of the workers that were working the day we came were such sweet hearts but don’t bombard you with questions and all of that annoying stuff other places do.

I’ve never gotten an amazing haircut and gel nails done for under 30 before! My mom took me here when I came back home. My pixie had grown into a mullety type of mess and things were still looking hopeless in the short bob department. One of the stylists worked her magic and within ten minutes I had an amazing short and asymmetrical haircut that will grow out nicely without looking awkward in the meantime. Then, she gave me these cute gel nails. All of this for a great affordable price! You don’t see that often. Since I speak Vietnamese I found it a comfortable and familiar environment. And honestly? I’m never going to get a 60 dollar haircut again as long as this place is open!

Roommate suggested this place. I got my hair cut here today and I love my new cut. It’s only $ 15 for women and for men is only $ 8.00, it is cheap to compare with others salon in Saratoga or Los Gatos or near by. The women here can speak good English and are nice. There is plenty of parking in the area. Weekend, they always are busy and to avoid the waiting, I come here on weekday after work. The good thing, they open until 7 pm.

Been getting my hair cut here since I was 10. The shop is clean and everyone is nice and knows how to give a good fade.

I got my hair cut here for the first time because I always passed by it on my way to the gym, and happened to see the«$ 8» sign on the window yesterday. It turns out, the haircut was $ 8 for a reason. I told the lady I wanted my sides buzzed and faded with a «2», and for the top, to keep the middle longer, especially in the front, and to trim the sides to be cut slightly shorter, and the back slightly shorter(sort of TaeYang’s faux hawk…), and finally to thin it out so it was less bulky. Because I got the sense that she didn’t totally understand english, I pointed at a picture that I happened to see on the wall and said, «just like that». So she began to fade the sides and did a mediocre job(it is still quite a bit uneven, but I didn’t even bother complaining). There wasn’t really a point when she«finished» fading my sides, because as she got higher and higher, she continued to use the buzzer. Even when she got to the top, and I asked her to cut with scissors, she refused, and told me she was just ‘even-ing’ it out and that she would cut with scissors later. Hearing this, I told her that I didn’t want my hair to be super even on the top, as I was going for a messy/rugged look. She just ignored me and continued to buzz. I let her continue because it seemed she wasn’t quite at the top, but rather on the sides, just higher up than I was used to. But out of nowhere, BUZZ, there goes the middle of the top of my hair. I looked like an 8 year old with a plain old buzz cut that his mom gave him… but worse… After that, I kept suggesting different ways to fix certain aspects of what she had done, but all she kept doing was arguing with me and telling me that she couldn’t do this and couldn’t do that because my hair was too short in the middle or my hair was too long on the sides… WHAT? Isn’t that the exact opposite of what I asked you to do?! All in all, I felt I was grossly overcharged for a haircut that I could have given to myself, and done much better at, at the same time.

I’ve been going here for 6+ years now and I’ve loved pretty much every experience! I used to just come with my mom as she’d get her hair done, but now I have to stop by whenever I’m in the area. I first fell in love with the place when they did an amazing job with my hair for prom. I wanted something curly, but didn’t really have an idea and didn’t want to look like a hideous high schooler. Mai did an AMAZING job, accommodated me in the morning, plus it was only $ 30! Hella beats the hundreds that my friends spent. I like the oil treatments and getting my hair trimmed here. They do good work at a cheapie price! Seemingly hole-in-the-wall places are the BEST, yo. Very, very accommodating to my family, and they take walk-ins. The waxing, manis and pedis are pretty good, but I wouldn’t suggest a facial. It’s not bad, but it’s not really a facial; it’s more like a facial-lite + shoulder massage. I didn’t mind, but my dad did. PS — hey fellas. Haircuts here for $ 8. Where else can you beat that? PPS — If you were wondering what I meant by «very, very accommodating,» I meant that my mom and I used to take my grandma here to get her hair done. She was in a nursing home at the time and had to be in a wheelchair, and the ladies here always made her feel amazing and welcome(and perhaps made her forget that she was living in a Shady Pines dealio. Golden Girls, anyone?)

This is a gem of place to get your hair done. I have white hair and every cut shows. Mai does a fabulous job. The shop is a small, strip mall salon with no frills in decoration but the cuts are equal to the shop I paid $ 50 at. I’ve been going back for 14 years. I’ve had hair cut and styled and perms. Both were great work. The cost is less than $ 20 for a cut! You can’t beat the price and the work is excellent.

I’d give this place a zero star if I could. Unilocal, why don’t you have a zero star rating? You should! Anyways, I came here the other day to get my hair flat ironed for an event. My go to stylist I’ve known and trusted for years, Juran wasn’t working that day so I had no choice but to find another place for the time being. My hair is naturally wavy and is more frizzy than nice wavy and I don’t have the patience or expertise to straighten it well enough on my own. Anyways, things started out great. I got in right away and my hair looked awesome after the Asian lady there who’s name I forgot was done with me. I DID tell her that I didn’t have much time to spare twice nicely. She said no problem at first. I then said that I needed a manicure too and she said that she’d do that. Well, after I got my hair done, this guy came in after me and got a haircut. She said it’d only take five minutes so I said that’s fine. I timed her and she did a full hair cut on him so it took about 20 minutes for her to be done with him and before she was, I got fed up and just paid her after that. I left no tip of course. I did give her a tip though about customer service by saying: «It’s first come, first serve, and I was here before him». She made no apology and just smiled. I told her that what she did was rude and unprofessional and that I’m never coming back there. I don’t think he had an appointment, and even if he did, she never told me that. So I went to my regular nail salon to get my nails done and the woman there told me that she would’ve done the same if she was me so I know that I’m not overreacting here. The name Expert does not belong to their store IMHO.
